I received a shipping confirmation email today on this box, still no spoilers or even anything on Ellen’s site or the be kind site. All still showing the spring box. Feeling pretty anxious about what this box is going to be

I cancelled this box with documentation from the support staff in March. I just noticed I was billed for the summer box. I have tried sending 2 emails again to the email address to contact them at, and they are bouncing back. So although the subscription was cancelled, I was still billed for the upcoming box and this is unprofessional.

Has anyone found an easy way to communicate on how to cancel the subscription?

I don’t understand why there is no mention whatsoever about this impending box on MSA. And you cannot sign up for notifications because the box does not seem to be listed. Is this perhaps because MSA does not receive a commission, or a free subscription? I can’t figure it out.

I got the email saying it’s for the new spring box. When I went on it says I don’t have an account so I can’t cancel or do anything. I’ve emailed 3 times with no answer. I’ve never had such horrendous customer service!

If you signed up for the Spring box it said you were activating a renewal subscription. That means auto billed.

I am toying with cancelling too. I support her cause, but I only used the coffee from the last box. I also wish we had our chat capabilities back so we could discuss these kinds of things without tagging the last review of a box.

Yes, I do need to use that coffee! I have a kuerig so I can use the cups anyway. I did like the cup that came with it also, just haven’t used it yet.

I went ahead and cancelled after the last box. I can always renew again if they don’t run out of boxes after the spoilers are released. I just couldn’t take any chances. The only thing I have used out of the last box was the replacement candle.

I’ve been going back and forth with customer service forever after the two boxes that I ordered were returned to the sender by FedEx because they were “damaged.” Most of the time, they didn’t reply. After a while, I finally wrote to them how upset I was that no one was responding. I said that I’d held off disputing the charge because I really wanted the two boxes that I ordered, but if I didn’t hear back, I’d have to finally dispute the charges. Four or five days after I sent that, I finally got a response telling me that they were working on replacing my boxes, and that they felt bad so they offered me a credit in the Ellen Shop for the amount I paid for both boxes, and they were still working on sending the boxes. There’s not much I really wanted in the Ellen Shop, but I was so happy to finally be offered something, so I accepted. And then, miracle of miracles, they sent me tracking for both boxes. Hallelujah! They arrived today. And, wait for it…..the candle in one of the boxes is broken with shards of glass all over the box. After all that! Since they gave me an over $100 credit in the Ellen Shop, I am not upset about the candle. I just can’t believe that after all that, they still sent me a broken candle. And by the way, no golden ticket in either Cheerios box. Does anyone know if the golden ticket has been found?

I ordered one of these as soon as it was available, and couldn’t get any info on when it would ship. Finally, last week, I received an email from customer service that said they couldn’t fulfill my order because they didn’t have an address, and if I didn’t respond, they would have to cancel my order and refund me. Went to the website, re-entered my address that had mysteriously disappeared, and emailed them back with the address. Next day, same thing. Went to the website again, and my address is right there on file. I emailed them back again, and I sent cust serv a message right from the website. Next day, same thing. I was so frustrated at that point that I cancelled my sub and just let them refund me for this box. Very disappointed.

The candle in my box was broken. I sent multiple messages. Initially Jazmin from the Be kind by Ellen website replied. I sent pictures of the broken candle and she replied that they will look into replacing it. Since then I have not heard back. E-mails remains unanswered and I tried to contact them through the site again but no luck. Anyone else have problems contacting them. Or ideas of what I can do. The candle is one of the few useful things in the box. Happy to donate what I can’t use but would like better customer service.

My candle was broken as well. I have emailed their customer service multiple times and have had no response at all. I am very frustrated at this point. I am sorry to hear others are having the same issues. At this point I don’t know what to do to get a response. Grrrr.

I also had a broken candle. After contacting customer service and sending pics, I received a replacement yesterday. The process maybe took 6 weeks. After I sent pics they sent me an email letting me know they were working on getting replacements. After several weeks they sent me a tracking number that my candle was on the way. The process went smoothly.

If a dispute arises between you and us, you agree to first provide us with notice of your complaint via email to [email protected] so that the parties may attempt to resolve the dispute informally within sixty (60) days from the date your complaint is received.

I notified WB of my dispute and received a refund a few hours later.

I had not received a box at all though.

I ordered and paid for my box on March 7th. I got an email that it’s on the way. I got a tracking number and it said after 24-48 hours I could track my order. IT’S BEEN ONE MONTH and I still haven’t gotten my box nor is there any information under my tracking number. I’ve emailed “Customer service ” several times and all they tell me is that its shipped and give me the link to track it. I think its automated. Nobody answers the phone either. I’m beyond disappointed ! This is the worst Customer service!! I’ve even asked to cancel my order and refund my money but no response on that either. I will NEVER order from them again!!

Do a chargeback. And submit the empty tracking so either you get a refund or the company has to respond and get you the box. They tend to move faster when CC companies get involved.

After two weeks, I FINALLY got a response from customer service. This came after emailing every Ellen related email address I could find. I also called them and left a message, but didn’t receive a call back. I initially got a response from The Ellen Shop telling me I had contacted the wrong company and referring me to the Be Kind contact form that I’ve used several times. So, I replied to them explaining that I had tried that contact form several times and had even copied Be Kind on the email I sent to them. Then I asked that if they were in contact with the right people to please please pass along my information. A few hours later, I finally got the following response from Be Kind customer service:

Hello,

Thank you for contacting the Be Kind Box and we apologize for not being able to get back to you sooner.

We are working to issue replacement orders to be sent to you and will follow up to confirm when to expect them once the replacements have left.

Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused but we will hopefully have an update on your replacement boxes soon.

Thank you for your patience and understanding,

I enjoyed the contents of the box, i’ve been wanted the byte forever, i’m obsessed with dogs and I used the coffee for cold brew. I posted the bracelet and card deck in the swaps, so i think all in all, the box worked out.

HOWEVER, anyone else got a shattered candle? Like one side of the candle in tiny tiny pieces– like embedded into your finger as you try to gingerly trash the whole thing? (dang shame, cause it smelled SO good) I emailed their customer service and they said they were working hard to source replacements to be shipped out. That was about two weeks ago? wondering if anyone had similar experiences?

I had the same issue. My candle was also shattered. I had glass everywhere in the bottom of ,y box. I still have not received a replacement.

I’m impressed that you even got a response from customer service. I bought two boxes. Tracking showed both of them were damaged and returned to sender by FedEx. Multiple emails to customer service and I’ve gotten no response. I even tweeted at Ellen. Nothing. I expected a higher level of customer service from this box, and so far, it has been my worst box experience ever.

I FINALLY received a refund.

I emailed customer service several times. Then I emailed Warner Brothers to file a dispute as it mentions in the Terms and Conditions on BeKind. Their email address is [email protected]. I’m not sure if that did anything, but I got the refund a few hours later.

Customer Service did ask me if they could cancel my subscription for me. I guess they are sick of dealing with me….

I hope they find a way to make this right for everyone.

Do a chargeback with your credit card and show the emails and unanswered tweets. You’ll either get your money back (do you really want to support such bad service?) Or the threat of them losing the money should get you a response.

I recently received my first be kind box. My candle arrived broken; so sad about that because it smells so good. I’ve sent a couple of msgs to the support desk but haven’t heard back yet. Hoping I will get a replacement so I can burn it and have my house smelling wonderful! Very happy with everything else though!

Mine came today, with the candle totally shattered and shards in the box. I had planned to gift it. I’ve reached out about returning the box, since I don’t have dogs and use a Keurig. Will update with response.

If you get a response from CS, it will just be a link to their no return policy.

They won’t return my money and I never received my box. They now say they don’t have any more boxes as only a limited number were made. Still, they are keeping my money until they figure some thing out. It doesn’t make sense.
It’s been nearly a month since they took my money. They can’t tell me when I might receive a box. I’m guessing they will plan to just Re-box a returned one that is covered in broken glass.

Horrible customer service.

This happened to me too, plus I was told they would refund and it has not happened even though their customer service said it had already been processed. That was over a week ago. I am ready to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. This is TERRIBLE customer service. I really am shocked that Ellen’s company would treat customers this shoddily.

I finally got my box yesterday. Has anyone had a problem with the lid on the byta cup? Mine seems defective. It seems like the slider is jammed. Was wondering if anyone had the same issue?

I’m having the same problem! I was actually disappointed in the byta cup, and it’s the one item I expected to like. My cup was really dirty and scratched up on the outside. I feel like the sanded texture is a bad idea for a white cup. I also thought the lid seemed super-cheap. Is this the lid that’s on all of their cups? Or is this a lower-quality one made specifically for the box? I had considered buying a byta in a gloss finish, but now I’m hesitant.

Canadian purchasers beware! Very disappointed in the my first (and last) Be Kind box. First, the cost was higher than expected to ship to Canada. between the additional shipping ($70.99 vs $54.99) and duties (another$20 US), the box cost me about $90US for stuff valued at about $70 US). I do not need another go cup; I do not drink coffee; I am not interested in photos of other dogs I do not know (and the breeds were not identified); I do not play cards; I was not crazy about the thin inexpensive looking bracelet (but perhaps one of the kid sin my life will like it); ai do et Cheerios but have a large box already; the candle is nice and perhaps the only item I will actually use. And getting the box was a real hassle. I got an email two days ago with the DHL tracking number, only to learn on the DHL website that my package had been on hold there for 11 days due to duties I needed to pay.

I have never had such a horrible customer service experience. Even with box of Style, I didn’t mind the slow but effective service. I am really upset. No one responds to my emails. I paid nearly $60 for this box. I have not received anything. It is well passed the time they said I would receive this box. My account has been adjusted to show that I have received my box and I have been given a partial refund. I do not have a box. I do not have a tracking number. I do not have any refund. I do not have any response from customer service in over a week. I would strongly suggest that MSA issue a warning for future BeKind boxes. This is just a scam.

I actually came on here to see if anyone else has been having this same issue. FedEx marked my box as ‘damaged,’ as well as having too many shipping labels on it, so it can’t be delivered to me. It’s been sitting in the FedEx warehouse for a week now. I’ve contacted the BeKind customer service twice. It’s been a week and I’ve heard nothing back. I’m going to wait until the end of this week, and if I hear nothing, then file a claim with my credit card to get my money back. I’m so sad. I was so looking forward to this box, because I missed out on the last one.

This is very frustrating. I still haven’t received any response from customer service about my two boxes that tracking indicated were damaged and being returned to the sender. With Ellen involved, I definitely expected a high level of customer service here, and I’m very disappointed. Ugh.

My box was damaged in transit also. Customer Service said They would ship a replacement box. That was last Thursday. I still do not have tracking info on the replacement box and the website states that boxes are sold out. I really do not know what to do.

I can’t seem to be able to cancel this subscription either. The “manage subscription “ button doesn’t work at all.

I contacted customer service and all they did was ask for a screen shot of the problem. I am disappointed to see others having problems cancelling too.

So I heard back from customer service and my subscription was canceled. It should have been easier to do. Had I been able to cancel without having to email anybody, I would have no doubt about getting another box. That being said, my box arrived yesterday. Here is my review:

1) coconut soy candle: smell divine and I love candles and can tell that this is really high quality. The print on the candle container says “ Be Kind “ on it with the scent name and the maker “montecito”. No mention of Ellen on it and if you don’t want to keep it, it’s the perfect hostess gift!

2) playing cards: these are so well made and durable. It’s made from a material that doesn’t rip, almost like plastic? The box is a beautiful shade of aqua and reads “Ellen” on the box. But the cards themselves have letter “e” and decorations on the back. So they are very plain in my opinion. I wasn’t planning on keeping them, but now I will. They don’t scream “Ellen” once you get them out of the box.

Lol this post is getting long… I will continue my review ….

3) Byta cup: oh my goodness, the quality is awesome! I wish I could share pictures…it’s so durable and worth $29 for sure. It says hand wash but we accidentally put it in the dishwasher….oops! But it’s still the same! I will hand wash from now on just to be safe because I do love the size and feel of this cup. I love that the lid is transparent and I can see my drink!

I finally received a response from the customer service. I emailed them right away after I made a payment that I wanted to cancel and before any shipment was sent, but they said they are unavailable to provide refunds.

I did end up getting a response that they had cancelled my subscription today. I snapped screenshots of the error message and account page so they could see what I was talking about. Ultimately, I wanted them to know what the error was so they could fix it . That seemed to do the trick. Hope you get a response soon. 🙂

I hope their website gets fixed soon because I am left with such a bad impression of not being able to easily cancel.
My plan was to cancel and wait for summer spoilers to see if I want this again.
It’s a bit frustrating that I can’t seem to find the info anywhere of how much money is being donated per box sold.

You have to log into your account and the cancel button is on the right side, vertical button. I think it is blue. I haven;t gotten shipment notification either and they don’t give me a date when it will ship. They just told me how to check the status. On the site it said it is supposed to ship in 5-7 days . But I think it is going on 3 weeks.

When I click that blue button on the side that says manage subscription it doesn’t do anything. I see a blip like it is supposed to open a screen, but then nothing. I assume it’s a bug? Hope they fix it soon!
