Wantable Fitness is a fitness styling subscription service similar to Stitch Fix. You fill out an in-depth survey about your fitness clothing preferences, and your stylist picks out items for you.

The fee for this service is $20 a month, and that fee goes toward whichever items you choose to keep. If you keep 3 or 4 items you also get a 20% discount, and if you keep all 5 items you get a 30% discount.

Wantable sent this box for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Wantable Fitness Edit January 2018 stylist letter

Inside the box, I received a booklet listing out the items I got, plus a note from my stylist for the month. (Note that your stylist does change from month to month, unlike with other services where you grow a relationship with one stylist.)

Here's my packing sheet. I also got a note from my stylist this month. In the style quiz I took when signing up, I noted the types of things I like, love, and dislike wearing, as well as the price range I'd be most comfortable spending on different pieces (like tops, bottoms, and tertiary styles like jackets, etc.).

Alternative Apparel Scrimmage Reversible Pullover in Navy - Cost to Keep: $54

I love this pullover! The fit is just right for me, especially with the length. I'm happy that it's navy, too, because I have so much grey and black and sometimes I feel like I look washed out in the gym, especially since I don't wear makeup there. It's also soft and stretchy, which is how all my favorite fitness/athleisure items are. It's a little funny to me that they call this "reversible" because it's not like there's a new color or material on the inside. It's really just... a top that doesn't look bad inside out? There is a tag at the neck, though, so that would still look inside out if you reversed it.

Wear it to Heart High Waisted 7/8 Legging in Long Island Camo - Cost to Keep: $85

Camo isn't one of my favorite prints, but I actually like it in this fabric. These 7/8 tights have a nice, high waist that feels supportive. This fabric felt cool, but something about it just didn't stretch with me the way I needed them to. The hem around the ankles was a little snug, too.

Interval Graphic Tank in Light Heather Grey Can and Will - Cost to Keep: $42

I love this graphic! This tank is lightweight and features larger arm holes which help air flow. This is so versatile and easy to throw over any sports bra + leggings and hit the gym.

Threads 4 Thought Dani Pullover in Jet Black - Cost to Keep: $68

Oh, my goodness. This pullover is insanely soft! I also love the fit. The cold shoulder trend can be hit or miss for me, but my main gripe with it is when the cold shoulder hole is right over my bra straps. This pullover has nice, wide shoulder straps, and then the cold shoulder holes square on my shoulders/upper arm. I've been wearing this almost non stop since opening my box.

Sam Edelman Solid Jersey in Pacific Blue - Cost to Keep: $39 (Found here for $22.97)

Hurray for more color! This tank is great. Honestly, I could throw a cardigan over it and wear it anytime, as well as for the gym. It's jersey so it's a comfortable knit fabric. I appreciate a tank I can work out in that doesn't have enormous armholes, but that's just my personal preference. Love this!

Wantable Fitness Edit January 2018 black capris

Shape Active Hi Rise "SS" Capri in Caviar Black - Cost to keep: $64

Thanks to Wantable, I have learned that I really like the brand Shape Active. I've kept many things from them. These capris have a high rise (my fave), have a good stretch to them, are not see-through even when squatting, and are nice and breathable! Jackpot.

Sam Edelman Criss Cross Bra in Berry Melange - Cost to Keep: $39

(not pictured) Totally my mistake -- I forgot to model this for you guys. I was wearing it in all the pictures above, but forgot to take any pictures of it alone, and didn't realize until writing the article (of course, after I sent back my returns). I didn't keep this bra, only because Wantable has sent me some good bras and I think I have all the ones I need for now. This one was nice, though! It had nice, thick, adjustable straps in the back (love the adjustability!). Also, it's available on Amazon as part of Prime Wardrobe so you can try it on before buying through there, as well.

The Verdict: This month's Wantable Fitness Edit was great, yet again! I really like everything they sent me, and the items I sent back were more just because I didn't love them as much as other pieces and also my budget. I'm happy with the quality of everything they sent this month, as well. FYI, Wantable doesn't have an automatic discount for buying these items through their service. If you keep 5+ items from your order, you do get 20% off. Some items are listed as less than they're found at retail, but for the most part, the items I'm sent are listed at full price. There's an item that's cheaper on the brand's website than from my Wantable box, but my past experience with Wantable has been that they will price match if the brand has it marked down.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Wantable curates its boxes based on each individual's preferences as well as what's available. What you get might not be the same as what I got, but you also might get something that fits your style and body even better than the looks above! Sign up and see what they choose for you!

Value Breakdown: This box cost $20.00 with free shipping, which goes towards your purchase. The total merchandise value of the items inside was $391.00. If I kept 5+ items, I would also receive the 20% off discount ($78.20) and my styling fee ($20) means I'd pay $292 for all of the pieces they sent this month.

I tried Wantables after seeing this review. I am not impressed. The sizing was all over the place. Most of the items were too big and one was too small. Only one thing fit well… and it was $89. I can’t justify the cost, so now I’m out $20 for the privilege of trying on their clothes. Go with a service that at least lets you have the first month free, so you can get a feeling for their sizing.
