Unique Vintage January 2019 Review
You never quite know what you’re going to get with this subscription. It could be a party dress or one that you could wear to work.

Let’s see what I got this month:
Unique Vintage 1950s White and Green Floral Bow Sleeve Selma Swing Dress - Retail Value $98
I saw this fabric and immediately loved it. But bold, big floral prints are kind of my thing. I also like wearing green.
This one fits me pretty well, even around the midsection, which is my usual trouble spot with Unique Vintage dresses because I have more of a stick figure than an hourglass figure. I think it is a bit stretchy.
This one is hand wash (or probably dry clean) only. Every now and then, I find I can throw one of the Unique Vintage dresses in the washing machine, but it doesn’t happen too often.
Here is a detail of the sleeve.
Note: these sleeves were a bit tight on me. If my arms were any bigger this would’ve been a challenge to get off. I have been lifting weights although I don’t think I’ve put on THAT much muscle yet. So just know this may be a bit of a tight fit. (It wasn’t uncomfortable to wear, just a little difficult to take the dress off. Not a dealbreaker.)
And, like many other Unique Vintage dresses, this one has pockets. You can see from the amount of fabric in the skirt that a petticoat would totally work under this dress.
I would wear this to work with a white cardigan. Also, it may be an excuse to get some fancier green shoes (these flats are my only green shoes).
Verdict: The dress I received has a retail price of $98, which is a good value for this subscription at $41 over the cost of the dress plus shipping. The style is something that I think could work for a variety of occasions with the right accessories and of course you always have the option of wearing a petticoat to change the look, as well. I actually think this would be a fun work dress (your mileage may vary there but it would be appropriate for my workplace, anyway, as it’s a bit dressier than the minimum required by management).
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, all boxes ship out at the same time of the month so it’s too late to get the December shipment. However, if you like the dress, you can order it from the link above. (Sign up for their email list; they have coupons and sales every now and then.)
Value Breakdown: This subscription costs $57 if you include shipping and you get one dress. Tax may also be charged now but that will vary by location.
