The Ms. Collection is a monthly clothing rental subscription for women. Your stylist puts a pack together based on your style profile and you keep it for as long as you like. When you are done wearing those pieces you send them back in the included pre-paid envelope. You have the option of buying any item at a special member discount price just in case you can’t bear to part with it.
The Ms. Collection has several different plans to best fit your needs. They also have The Mr. Collection for men.

Each pack includes 3-4 pieces of quality, designer, casual clothing for your everyday look. When you sign up, you answer questions about your style (size, colors, patterns, clothing type, etc.). An actual stylist puts your pack together so, even though your pieces are a surprise, they should work for you. You can leave feedback for your stylist to help make your next pack even better.

The Cost:
- Standard Once a Month - Three items in each pack - $59/mo

- Premium Unlimited - Four items in each pack - $89/mo
The Products: 3-4 styled pieces per pack, depending on the membership plan you are subscribed to. Members can choose the pack speed they would like, whether that be a once a month plan, or unlimited. Members typically enjoy 2-3 packs per month under the unlimited membership plans.
Good to know: You can purchase any of the pieces you want for a special member price. Just keep what you want and you will be billed for the item when your pack return is processed.

The Ms. Collection Premium Once a Month Plan December 2018 Review
This month, my stylist sent some dressier items for any events or parties over the holidays and some casual items for cozier days. My pack includes a suede dress, leather skirt, big sweater, and bell-sleeve top:

Tart Faux Leather Skirt, L - Retail Value $118, Member Price $94.40
I'm always a fan of a stand-out piece in an outfit and this faux leather skirt is just that. My stylist sized me up because she said it tends to run small. I'm glad she did because the 100% PU fabric has no stretch. It's lined with a polyester liner that is attached at the waist which helps the skirt glide when moving around. I wanted to pair it with a tucked-in cami and a cardigan to show off the notched waist detail. I like the mixture of textures! The knee-length is perfect for the body-hugging fit and sultry wine shade. I think this is a winning rental piece since I was able to wear it to a party (and for pics!) but probably wouldn't wear it often enough to justify buying it.
Black Swan Sweater, M - Retail Value $80, Member Price $64
I struggle with sweaters since I feel that they often add extra bulk where I don't want it. Something about the cut and loose knit makes this sweater flow around my body and feels flattering (and super comfy). Since it's oversized, it looks nice belted to accentuate the waist. The long length means I can pair it with leggings or jeans but means the sleeves are loooong. My stylist suggested trying the sleeves rolled and scrunched up to fix that problem and she actually went ahead and sent them rolled and ready.
Here is the sweater belted and paired with the skirt from earlier. I didn't plan on this being an outfit but I kind of like it. What do you think?
Karen Kane Plaid Blouse - Retail Value $118, Member Price $94.40
Black, white, and cobalt blue...these are the colors my closet is made of. While I like taking clothing colors adventures outside of my norm, I was instantly drawn to this top. I love the bell sleeves, even though it is nearly impossible to eat while wearing them, and thick, structured material. It's made of a poly/rayon mix with 2% Spandex so it holds its shape well while having a tiny bit of stretch. The rhinestone buttons give it a little glitz too. I think I could have sized up in this to give me more room through the shoulders, but then it may have been too big. So, while I like this blouse, it's not a perfect enough fit to purchase.
Black Swan Suede Dress - Retail Value $85, Member Price $59.50
Whoa, mama! This suede dress is short and sassy. I'm glad to have gotten it at this time of year with NYE parties and events since it's the only time I would rock a bright red, bodycon, mini dress. 🙂 The fabric is polyester with 10% Spandex and is sueded on the exterior and lined with a neoprene-like material. I probably would feel more comfortable with the length if I had a pair of black tights on, but I'm not sure if that looks right. This is another great example of a rental item that I enjoyed having for a while but wouldn't have purchased for myself.
About Returns:
Each pack includes a pre-paid return envelope. When you are done with your pieces, just pop them in here and drop it off at the post office. The Ms. Collection will process your return and you’ll be ready to go for your next pack. (If you are purchasing anything, just leave them out of your return package.)
A note about cleaning: You don’t have to clean the pieces before sending them back. The Ms. Collection has everything cleaned once the pieces are returned. I didn’t notice any smell (including fragranced detergent which is good for those with sensitive skin), stains, or signs of wear. Actually, everything was in perfect condition!
The Verdict: The Ms. Collection really showed up with some statement pieces this month! I really liked building outfits with the leather skirt using items I already own and ones that came in the pack with it. The sweater was also a favorite and was a great big, cozy option. The quality of everything was great and I liked the variety of color and patterns. I also appreciate the detail and suggestions my stylist gave me and how she prepped the sweater for me. Ultimately, I enjoyed wearing each piece and feel I got the value out of my rental fee. I'm not in love with any of the items to buy them at the member price, so I'm glad to be able to send them back and anticipate more items next month. The total retail value of this pack was $401 and for a rental price of $69 with free shipping, it’s a good deal for me.

Value Breakdown: Since this is a clothing rental service, the value really comes from being able to change up and try new, styled looks every month. I also get a chance to wear high-quality brands that I wouldn’t be able to spend this kind of money on often. There is always the option to buy an item for a discounted price if you love it. Basically here is what I paid to rent each item for the month (based on retail price):
