Stitch Fix  is a monthly clothing and styling subscription service. Your stylist handpicks five items based on your preferences within the survey. The fee for this service is $20, and that includes free shipping as well as free returns. Stitch Fix Plus Size Clothing Box November 2018 Review

Stitch Fix Plus November 2018 - Invoice

This is the invoice that was included. It shows in detail the items selected for me and the brands, sizes, and cost of each piece. The total comes up to $199 after all the discounts if I opt to keep everything—which is a $93 total savings! That coves most of the cost of the Slink skinny jeans!

Stitch Fix Plus November 2018 - Info Card

As always, this handy sheet with a sweet note from my stylist, Candace, was included. I always appreciate the styling tips: they are so useful and inspiring! Candace is consistently thoughtful in her selections for me and often references my Pinterest. I love the tidbit about the shawl being made from 100% recycled polyester from recycled bottles! That is amazing - eco-friendly fashion for sure!

Christelle Button Down Blouse in Mustard by FORTUNE + IVY Size 2x—Retail Value $38

My stylist, Candace, is fully aware of my love for bright yellows and oranges—so it made sense she would send this adorable mustard blouse my way. My only issue is that the 2x fit me well in the chest, but was snug in the hips and fit me oddly in the back. I wonder if I had sized up that the 3x would be a tad too big. Regardless, I am a resourceful bodacious gal and tucked this shirt into the jeans Candace also sent me for a more tailored look. I topped the ensemble off with matching mules, monochromatic geometric thread earrings, and my favorite cat eye glasses. This top would look great at the office tucked into a knee length pencil skirt, thick cable knit cardigan, layered beaded necklace, and booties or wedges for a cozy, yet professional look!

I love a good dark denim skinny leg jean and these definitely cut the mustard - especially paired with the previously modeled top! Slink is known for catering to clients with curves and swerves; their fit is fantastic! The jeans have ample stretch and I appreciate how tapered the legs are on this pair. These jeans can easily be dressed up or down and you will get your money’s worth wearing them all year long! Wear these bad boys in the fall and winter with an oversized turtleneck sweater and knee boots, in spring with your favorite novelty or band shirt, unbuttoned plaid western shirt, and booties, or in the summer with a cute crop top and wedge sandals!

I am not a fiend for all things symmetrical, but I do wig out a smidge when I see one sleeve tops and dresses. I keep seeing this style this season and I hate to say - not a big fan. Yes, I know my style icon, Debbie Harry, rocked the one sleeve style like no other. Jem and the Holograms too for that matter! Alas, I just felt like I either needed to rip off a sleeve or sew on another one and call it a day. The top is made from a slinky, stretchy material—that I do appreciate! Don’t let my opinion change yours if you like this look, though! Pair this retro top with a sequin mini-skirt and black velvet open-toed heels for a wild night on the town! I opted to style the top with the Slink jeans included, accessories from Jewlybox, and cheetah print Doc Martens!

Adalia Knit Jumpsuit by Kaileigh Size 2x—Retail Value $58

Back in my March, my stylist sent me a fabulous jumpsuit that I regretfully sent back. Since making that epic mistake, I have requested that Candace send me jumpsuits. This month she sent me this adorable number! Jumpsuits are great for traveling—they are extremely comfortable to wear on a plane! This one’s fabric is ideal and incredibly soft with ample stretch. The only negative regarding rompers and jumpsuits alike is having to get buck naked to go to the bathroom when wearing them! I was a bit put off by the spaghetti straps on this piece due to the need for a strapless bra as well. However, I failed to recognize that the awesomeness of a piece like this is the various layering options! One could wear a bold metallic mock turtleneck top for flair or a striped t-shirt with a beret for a casual, yet effortlessly chic ensemble! $58 is a steal for such a versatile piece!

Lela Plaid Ruana by Threads 4 Thought O/S—Retail Value $50

Finally, we have this classic, yet extremely toasty Ruana—right in time for the holiday season! This piece is perfect for in between fall weather where you don’t need a big coat, but you need something a tad more substantial than a light sweater or jacket. Like Candace mentioned before, this Ruana is made entirely from recycled plastic bottles! I would have never known this by touching it, I assumed it was a wool textile. I styled this piece with the jumpsuit also included for me and a pair of silver, pointy-toed flats. I can envision this being paired with a black long-sleeved mock turtleneck, faux leather mini skirt, black tights, buckle boots, and a biker cap with chain detail for a tough, yet ultra-cute fall/winter look.

The Verdict: My stylist, Candace, always puts a lot of thought and consideration in the items she selects for me. I enjoyed what she sent me, but some of the pieces a bit conservative for my taste. My favorite items were the jumpsuit and Slink jeans—their versatility make these selections amazing values! I did opt to keep the Ruana as a birthday gift for my mom, but you best believe I intend on borrowing it from her! I have been slouching a bit on giving Candace as much feedback and updating my Pinterest board, so I take some responsibility on this fix for that as well. I find it crucial to communicate with your stylists often so that you can get your dream box! This month’s Stitch Fix selections were great, but I am eager to see what comes my way next month!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Stitch Fix curates its boxes based on each individual’s preferences as well as what’s available. What you get might not be the same as what I got, but you also might get something that fits your style and body even better than the looks above! Sign up and see what they choose for you!

Value Breakdown: This box cost $20 with free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the items inside is $292. The cost of each item is listed alongside it above, but if I choose to keep at least 5 items, I get a 25% discount. The $20.00 cost of the box would also be applied to the purchase, meaning I’d end up spending $199 for the whole box. Ultimately, that’s a 32% discount!

Jess

You are absolutely gorgeous and rocked everything in your fix. I really think you need to reconsider the one sleeve top because not only did you look fabulous, but I felt it highlighted your personality perfectly. It screams style, spunk, and confidence. But one thing I love about you is how your confidence always shines through, no matter what you’re wearing.
