Box 295 arrived, containing:

Sunday Riley Lactic Acid Treatment
Living Proof Restore Perfecting Hair Spray
BeautyBlender Sold Pro
Laniege ater Sleeping Masic
Bite Beauty Matte Cream in Glace
Ouai Shampoo & Conditioner Sample

I got that same Ouai sample just a few months ago, and I don’t like the lip color at all, but it could be worse. I’m just glad I didn’t get stuck with those supplements.

My only real complaint is the ridiculous long wait to find out what’s in the box WE PAY FOR! >:/

I am box 261 also! Must be a popular box this month! Hope it is good!

Kenley

As long as I have subscribed to SP, I don’t think it has ever taken this long to receive specific spoilers.

I agree all you hear is about how you canceled and like other boxes, when people get on here to share about the play box items. If you canceled then keep off here no one cares. Frankly I tried them all and still favor Sephora, I love the bonus points the main reason I get the box. If you don’t like items you can always sell them as most people do. Selling one item reimburses for the whole play box for those hurting for the 10$.

Ann_C

Yup! It’s not that interesting for me to read comments from people who really want boxycharm but at the $10 Sephora Play! price.

Reply ButtonReply

missann

Haha! That’s what I think too. Why bother to announce you cancelled and saved that precious $10?

Reply ButtonReply

Helen

Im box 261…. Anyone else? And any other box specifix spoilers yet?

Reply ButtonReply

Ama

I am box 261 also! Must be a popular box this month! Hope it is good!

Jaymi Miller

How do you know which box number you’re getting? Where can I see what box im getting?

Reply ButtonReply

Roberta

I’m box 261 too.

I don’t think I’ll ever re-sub sephora play no matter what they offer. When I’m done, I’m done. Besides, I am having more fun trying out new subs for 3 month increments. I’ll be keeping my Allure box for sure but still cancelling off and on to re-sub for good offers. And I love getting full sizes from them a d Glossy box.

Ann

I am so curious why ppl are so very happy they canceled? So they don’t have to see those 5 disgusting items they hate and are pleased to death to hold on to that whopping $10 fortune? OIC bwahaha! Love it!

Reply ButtonReply

Jan

Really hope I don’t get that lip crayon. I’ve only had a subscription for about six months, but so far almost all my lip products have been a nude or a pale pink. I only wear dark lip colors. The pale ones go right in the trash.

Looks like I’ll be box #295, for what that’s worth.

Staceylis

My box is already on my recent orders. I wish they would just tell me what it is already.

Reply ButtonReply

tammy g

they won’t tell you anything till it has shipped, and then still , won’t tell you…and this is why I cancelled..i have just had enough of this..

Reply ButtonReply

Stacey

Yeah, I guess I’ll just have to wait for spoilers. I haven’t been very pleased with them and am close to cancelling because I love my Ipsy and Ipsy glam plus bags.

Julie

Woop woop! So glad I cancelled last month!

Reply ButtonReply

Sara Stanley

I am pretty sure this will be my last month with Sephora! My boxycharm and my Ipsy totally take the cake compared to Sephora!! And I agree with many others in the fact I don’t think they even go by your beauty profile so why even offer for us to do one!?

Reply ButtonReply

Macaroni

A beauty blender cleanser??? Seriously? Let’s see how many of us are going to get that not even having a beauty blender!!!

I guess this is the month when I am going to say good bye to Sephora.

Reply ButtonReply

Maggie Collister

Oh, I got the beauty blender AND the tea. Plus of the make up samples, I’d already gotten all of them in the past. I went ahead and cancelled my box. I don’t think they consider your notes or purchase history. The tea would have been OK as an “extra”, but not as a main sample.

Reply ButtonReply

eebay

I think their goal is to boost sales of beauty blender itself!

Reply ButtonReply

SrirachaSara

How are they supposed to know you don’t have a beauty blender? You could always use it to clean brushes.

Generally I lurk on here but I think everyone is entitled to my humble opinion as a bleeding-heart card-carrying capitalist including the Sephora employees who troll these forums.

I’d be sorely disappointed if I received the BB cleanser: I use Dr. Bronner’s Soap or a bar of Ivory Soap and follow with diluted vinegar to remove residue. I’m on a budget. My allocation of resources is prioritized on my personal utility, not on some fantasy narrative of a for-profit corporation. $2.00 for a tiny little soap smaller than a hotel soap is a joke.

I signed up for Play! for the purposes of exposure to brands that my Sephora Inside JC Penny’s does not carry because I refuse to blindly purchase online in good-faith from heavily hyped “luxury” brands. I wish to buy before I try.

My frustration comes from Sephora’s impression that I contracted a service to CURATE products to my demands; however, this is not the case: I am not upset about the size or any alleged meagerness; I am disillusioned by the lack of personalization and the apparent off-loading of samples that we have all speculated upon information and belief to be overstock or near their shelf-life end.

Sephora ostensibly narrates its business model to be a 5 star business; in reality, its operations are just shrewd corporatism laced with just a hint of crony capitalism.

missann

Yup, that would be very useful to clean brushes. I think it’s a good choice on their part.

missann

Seems like many many ppl cancelled in December, myself included. I think it’s mostly due to so many repeats and mini mini’s of half full samples. Take note Sephora.

I love that 90% of these comments are “I’m so glad I cancelled!”
But why are you still looking at spoilers then? 🧐
Love my playbox every month! Thanks MSA for always coming through with the spoilers! Real MVP.

Reply ButtonReply

Erin

Yesssss! This! I come here for spoilers and to hear things about what I’ll be getting. But only about 5% of it is useful information for us and the other 95% is everybody bitching about the box and saying how glad they are they cancelled. I don’t care if you cancelled! I’m just here for the information.

Reply ButtonReply

Nina

Ya I agree. I think it’s pretty selfish to come on here knowing full well you’re going to be negative and write snarky comments. I’m new to beauty subscriptions and honestly it’s sad to see so many people act entitled like this.. they want cheap pricing, but high end products, that perform flawlessly, in full sizes, never any repeats, and tailored to THEIR personal preferences! All for ten dollars.. it’s ridiculous..smh.

Georgia

SAME GIRL,SAME.
I wade through the comments in the hopes that someone has posted my number contents already. Like, no one cares that you cancelled Deborah, eat a cookie and stop clogging the feed already!

Beccah

Um, because you don’t have to subscribe to be curious what is being sent! Anyone can come on this site and read what ever they want and comment on what they want!

Reply ButtonReply

Christina

Yes, anyone can come on here and see…I am referring to those that had a subscription, cancelled and then come here and comment they are glad they cancelled. For what? For nothing!! Keep it pushing if you don’t like what you see.
Thanks for you comment Becky 😂

tammy g

you are so right beccah…..

tammy g

I cancelled last month too…just can’t take anymore…not telling me or showing me what’s in my box till it gets here…nobody else does that.

Reply ButtonReply

Michelle

Canceled many subs on the 26th and so glad this was one of them. Same. Thing. Every. Month

Reply ButtonReply

TK

I did the same…canceled at least half my subs in Dec. I still have 4 left. I’m wondering if we become underwhelmed after a couple years. At this point there’s very little I haven’t received in one of my many subs.

Reply ButtonReply

Kathie

I’m so glad I cancelled, especially since they don’t go by our profiles. I don’t like getting sent pills of any kind in boxes. I’m disabled & on various meds. The last thing I need is to get pills in boxes and hope for the best. Supplements seem to be showing up more frequently in boxes now. Thankfully, I’m not interested in much else yet from these spoilers. I’m very happy getting my Ipsy Plus Bag…now box LOL, and Allure. I need to finish up some of what I have before getting any other boxes. Happy New Year Everyone!

YES LOVE ALLURE BOX

bkwrm

LOVE Good Genes and I’m definitely in need of the solid cleaner! I’m fairly new here, so I’m still thrilled to peek at what’s ahead. <3

Reply ButtonReply

ACL

The Good Genes alone is worth it! Sephora offers this sample often, and I’m glad I don’t have to spend $90ish on a full size.

Reply ButtonReply

Renee

Is Glacé the only Bite color Sephora can get their hands on? I’m so tired of receiving the same products color cosmetics from them.

Reply ButtonReply

Roby

Duuude, i know!!! If been with sephora play from the very beginning and have received repat stuff all the time!!! 😤 this Bite crap is one of them!!! I have 4 now that I don’t use so hopefully I don’t end up with it again this month!!! If i do, im afraid im gonna have to check out the allure box

Reply ButtonReply

Ella

The Allure box is amazing! I just subscribed a few months ago and they have been killing it! This month they are sending out two brand new Sunday Riley products that just hit shelves in January.

MzKayleeJames

When I click on the sneak peek message in my inbox it shows me masks, the purple glamglo and glow recipe avacodo and a bunch others….so seems we will be getting a mask as well.

Someone is trying to get rid of leftover birthday gifts from 2018…

Reply ButtonReply

Jill m

Looks like it lol. My bday is Sunday so I’m going to get the drunk elephant gift this weekend when I make the mall bday rounds lol I do it every year. Sephora, Ulta gives me two bc I’m always platinum, and VS credit card bday reward, and NY and Co credit card bday reward. It’s a small but nice little trip. I also have a little over 1000 points for Ulta rewards right now from my holiday shopping so I’m gonna go get the khiels night cream with that. Gotta know how to get the deals lol every penny counts these days.

Reply ButtonReply

Lidia

That sounds like a great plan! Have a wonderful birthday! 🙂🎂

Luna

Happy early birthday! 😀 While this is online only, I thought I’d still mention this since you mentioned Ulta and using your points… tomorrow Ulta will be having a 19-piece gwp with any $25 online purchase. •L’Oréal Travel Size Sublime Bronze Tinted Self-Tanning Lotion in Medium (1.0 oz)
•Clarins Travel Size Extra-Firming Nuit Crème (0.5 oz)
•Maybelline Travel Size Great Lash Mascara in Blackest Black (0.15 oz)

•Sexy Hair Love Me Oil Moisturizing Oil Packette (0.27 oz)
•Alterna Bamboo Volume Shampoo and Conditioner Packettes (0.35 oz each)
•Mario Badescu Herbal Hydrating Serum Packette (3 pods)
•PÜR Get A Grip Endurance Eyeshadow Primer Packette (0.05 oz)
•Living Proof T.B.D. Multi-Tasking Styler Packette (0.33 oz)
•Philosophy Purity Made Simple 3-In-1 Cleanser Packette (0.2 oz)

I’m almost 40 and still get breakouts. I started using the HUM about 2 months ago and I do like it but it seems like an odd thing to sample since you have to use it for awhile to see results. And my skin purged for a long time despite only taking one pill a day for awhile. At least it will get used if I get it!

Reply ButtonReply

Michelle

I used it for a month. I’m 39 and started getting breakouts for the first time ever. The Hum did nothing for me. Absolutely nothing. I think I’m dealing with hormonal acne though.

Reply ButtonReply

LB

Ya I still get a breakout around that time of the month but between HUM and Sunday Riley lactic acid it clears up alot quicker than before. And the in between issues from stress or my bad eating habits seem minimized. When I started them they both purged my skin so bad I almost stopped. I guess I’m still a teenage mess despite being middle aged! Lol.
