Peaches and Petals January 2019 postcard Peaches and Petals January 2019 postcard back Peaches and Petals January 2019 secret code

This sub always sends along a little postcard with a cute image. We also got a sheet with a code you can text for an exclusive secret deal. I tried the text and it then prompted me to opt-in for a secret grab bag in exchange for receiving daily deal texts. Not my thing, but if you enjoy grab bags, this could be interesting! I would have appreciated a little more info.

Let's dig in.

List Makers Gonna List Magnetic Notepad - Retail Value $11.99

I really like that this notepad has a magnetic back that lets me attach it to my fridge for easy grocery lists. The holographic lettering is a cute touch!

Detox Glass Water Bottle

This is a nice water bottle! The glass is thicker and the top screws in tightly and has a silicone ring to prevent links. It also comes with a stretch cover to keep any ice sweat from getting through! I liked that it was a smaller size, meaning it would be easy to take on the go in your purse.

Ready, Set, Goals! Calendar - Retail Value $15.99 (found here for $8.79)

This calendar is super cute and comes with SO MANY stickers, three huge sheets!  It has plenty of room on each day to write notes or scribble ideas down. It also has a big space at the top of each month to write down goals and a handy pocket at the bottom to stash letters or receipts you need to keep close.

Marquee Love Star Sign - Retail Value $14.99

I like marquee signs because they are retro and bold. This little 8-inch star kit is a cute addition to my entryway. I love the idea of getting two large ones for both ends of my stairs in the shapes of arrows. You can decorate this little sign with a ton of different things, like washi tape, markers, and paint. Our kit came with two different tapes.

Verdict: Peaches and Petals can be super random, but this month and last have been really good! I liked all of the items this month and think they were all curated well. I already have my favorited iced tea in the water bottle and the cute marquee on my entryway console table. The calendar is cute enough to go in my little home office and notepads are always useful. Even without the water bottle, the items in this month's box have a value of at least $40, making this a great value for a $20 box.

This is a pretty cool box at a good price. The items are sometimes cool and sometimes lame. I tried the box and I got a cardboard box with items thrown in, no wrapping, no tissue, no information. I was also missing an item. Im used to getting really pretty boxes where the people take the time to make it something fun to open. I was so disappointed. I never did get my missing item. Anyway, to assign a RV of $11.99 to that notepad is beyond ridiculous and is an insult to their subscriber’s intelligence. You can buy those all day at the Dollar Tree. I could list that notepad for sale on my Amazon page for $100 if I wanted to. That certainly doesn’t mean that anyone would pay that much for it. Only that a seller listed the highest priced one at that price. This box is great if you liked it. Its only a rip off if you feel ripped off. If you are happy getting what you got for the price you paid then that is all that matters, right?

Ummmm, the notepad sells for $11.99 on Amazon. Peaches N Petals did not assign that value to it. They don’t provide RV for their items. Megan had to research the value of all the products herself. Thank you, Megan! Also thank you for continuing to review this box in spite of all the Negative Nancys who comment every month that it’s just Dollar Store stuff. It isn’t. I find the box fun, and they often send just what I need right when I need it, like the planner last month and now this goals calendar. Anything I don’t want swaps easily on the swap site, unlike the cuff bracelet from FabFitFun that I eventually *gave away as an extra* in a swap and the multitude of PopSugar items that languish on the swap site for years.

Thanks for the sweet comment, Melissa! I very much appreciate your understanding and that you took the time to read my review. Happy swapping! <3

I’ve read these reviews for a long time now and I think these boxes are filled with cheap junk! I have seen magnetic fridge lists and pads at the dollar store. In fact, go to the dollar store with this $20 cost and you will get more. You will get 20 items! This is a joke sub right?

I would say that it is absolutely one of the most polarizing subs I review for sure. People either love it or they hate it.

Ummm, the $11.99 is what it costs on Amazon. That is not a price that Peaches &Petals assigned to the product. They do not include a RV for the items in the box. Megan had to research all the prices herself. Thank you, Megan! And thank you for continuing to review this box even though these other commenters are so negative. PnP is one of my favorite subs, and they often send just what I need right when I need it, like the planner a couple months ago and now this motivational calendar.

This is a bunch of over priced junk. Those fridge pads are $1. all over town and $15. for the calendar? I guess if you have absolutely nothing else to spend your money on…

I remember I used to read reviews for this box but stopped because everything looked like they were literally from the dollar store. It’s interesting to see that it’s not so bad this month. Hope that continues.
I do agree that the first item could be picked up at Target for like $1 or $3 in their Bullseye’s Playground though

I was shocked at the notepad price too when I found it!

All dollar-store stuff. They could have added another item instead of inflating the values. And that notepad is $1.

This sub doesn’t send us retail values or listed values, we have to search for the items ourselves from reputable sites. I totally agree that the notepad price is nuts! Thanks for reading the review!

$11.99 for the notepad is crazy. I love keeping those on my fridge especially the ones with a larger magnet like this one but I would not pay $11.99 for one. Hobby Lobby has sets way cheaper.

Jen

$11.99 for a notepad that I am pretty sure you could get at the Dollar Store. The retail values are really inflated. I’d be disappointed if I paid $20.00 for that stuff.

We do try to find the actual item on reputable sites, and sometimes the prices are nuts, even to us. Still have to link them as-is though, even though I myself might never, ever pay that amount. Thanks for leaving a comment and reading my review!
