Nadine West Subscription Box Review January 2019 - Box Closed Top

Nadine West is a subscription styling service for women sizes small to 3X. Subscribers fill out a style quiz and are sent an outfit every month based on their style preferences. The best part is that there’s no styling fee—just a small shipping fee that is credited toward the cost of anything you keep.

About Nadine West

The Subscription Box: Nadine West

The Cost: $9.78 is charged to your account when your package ships (to cover shipping) and that amount is put towards the cost of the items you keep. If you return everything, however, that amount is not refunded.

COUPON: Use referral code NADINE to waive shipping fees on your first box! That means you can get your first box totally risk-free, with no styling fee and no shipping fee (normally $9.78). You’ll pay only for items you decide to keep!

IMPORTANT NOTE: A while back, several readers expressed concern over the shipping charge of $9.78. Please note that this is a fairly recent increase! However, existing subscribers keep their previous rate, which I think was $6.50.

The Products: Each pink package will include 2-5 items. Typical combos include a shirt or scarf and a couple pieces of jewelry and other accessories.

Ships to: U.S.

This is the invoice that arrived with my package this month. The box was comped, so the prices of the items have been struck through, but you can see what the cost to keep each item would have been.

Hollow Leaf Necklace – Cost to Keep $26.99

This necklace is really pretty. The design on the gold leaf is really intricate and detailed! I also really like the length. Long necklaces are a good style for me.

Callida Earrings – Cost to Keep $14.99

These earrings are pretty! I like the translucent white. They remind me a bit of Kendra Scott earrings, with the pale plastic pieces inside the metal frames. I think I will get a lot of use out of these!

Cynthia Earrings – Cost to Keep $8.99

These little studs are cute! They’re a good size, and they are different from your standard gold studs because of the texture. They look kind of like disco hemispheres! I like them!

Nadine West Subscription Box Review January 2019 - Coutu Hat Top

Coutu Hat – Cost to Keep $14.99

This cable-knit cap is an acrylic blend, and it’s super warm! I think the gray color will make it easy to wear with most things. It’s a nice neutral.

Nadine West Subscription Box Review January 2019 - Celesta Scarf 1 TopNadine West Subscription Box Review January 2019 - Celesta Scarf 2 Open Front

Celesta Scarf – Cost to Keep $19.99

This is a really soft acrylic infinity scarf in a classic fall/winter plaid. It’s really warm too! I like that it’s fringe-y.

Nadine West Subscription Box Review January 2019 - Ultimate Stretch Jean 1 TopNadine West Subscription Box Review January 2019 - Ultimate Stretch Jean 2 Top

Ultimate Stretch Jean – Cost to Keep $14.49

These are actually kind of lightweight pants, not jeans. This happens once every so often with Nadine West, but even though they are marked the correct size, they are several sizes too small. As in, no amount of ultimate stretch can fix this. These will have to go back, unfortunately. I also just wanted to note that my camera made them looked a little discolored, but they are not, they are a solid black.

Nadine West Subscription Box Review January 2019 - Karly Top On Front

Karly Top – Cost to Keep $26.99

I don’t usually flip out over tee shirts, but this one is perfect! It’s the right length and it fits well, and the cut is great for me. I like the tomato red color – I don’t have a lot of it in my wardrobe, but I think maybe I should have more. It is a soft cotton jersey knit, and I think the sleeves are a great length for me. Also, the v-neck is nice and open, which I like a lot. This is great!

Here is a picture of me wearing all of the accessories at once. I am mostly including it because I look like a French Canadian trapper. Right? Haha.

Nadine West Subscription Box Review January 2019 - Abbey Dress On FrontNadine West Subscription Box Review January 2019 - Abbey Dress On Side Pocket

Abbey Dress – Cost to Keep $35.99

I LOVE this dress! This is my absolute favorite color in the world! It’s a soft cotton blend knit, and it fits perfectly. I think the A-line cut is great for my figure, and I really like the strappy details across the chest. Plus it has pockets!

The Verdict: I love Nadine West! My favorites this month were the dress and the tee. I am also really happy they have started sending more pieces. More pieces mean more choices! I think if you want to treat yourself to a styling service on a budget, Nadine West is the way to go! Their pieces are not always the highest quality, but they are consistently the least expensive.

  1. I really like Nadine West. If you have an issue with the box you receive they are willing to work with to get it figured out.

  2. I’ve been a subscriber for several months now and I absolutely love it!! Its like Christmas every month! The stylists “get” me, send items I love and its always a fun time for me and my girls when the pretty pink package shows up!! I’d recommended this to anyone who, like me, hates the mall!! Customer service is utmost and its an overall great experience!

  3. The products I’ve received have been wonderful!Easy to mix and match ,comfortable materials, jewelry is gorgeous and definitely my style:-) The sizes seem to be true to size..unlike some other brands. I’m loving it!!!

  4. Your stuff is so pretty! I tried Nadine West for the first time this month and didn’t get too bad of a haul! I got a couple dresses, only one of them really had a good fit for me (I have a slimmer stomach and wider hips, so the nightshirt style dress I got made me look like a rectangle that stuck out a bit in one section lol), but the other one fit nice, but I found it cheaper on Amazon. The two tops I got were a little big (one so big that the v-neck would have made it near impossible for me to wear anywhere without getting told off for “indecent exposure”) but I am keeping one of them. The pants I got were marked as “black leggings” but were more grey. I can’t wear leggings due to the fact that I wear a back brace, so those were kind of a bust. The scarf I got was gorgeous, as were the earrings I got. The necklace looked a little cheap and cost too much for me to keep it, and the bracelet I got was a plain bangle (something I could easily find for a lower cost, and i have smaller wrists). Pretty good otherwise!

  5. Do they include return shipping supplies?
You look adorable in what you kept.

    • The bag it comes in is somewhat resealable, however i’d say you’re better off just closing it with packing tape. They do include a return shipping label though!!

  6. Love the dress and the way you have worn all the accessories at once!

    • Thank you Yurena!

      • Me too! That was the best look!
I love your comments too, Anna. So funny and I find myself answering you..hahaaa!
I am gonna try this. I tried StitchFix and my stylist a Wonderful job. I want really expecting much on the first but I like almost everything. But only kept 2 pieces. Because even tho I checked I wanted my pieces as cheap as possible they were very expensive. One piece , the lowest was $38. Most in $40s and a bra that was $69!
How long before you got the first bag??

  7. I was so disappointed this month because I got workout pants that I would have loved but they were two sizes to small, even though they were labeled the correct size. The dress was two sizes too big! The jewelry was a pair of cheap looking pearl earrings and a heart necklace. The shirt I got was a keeper and the cardigan I debated on for a long time because of the price. I just was not impressed with much this month. Your items though, wow you got some amazing pieces!

    • Thanks Nichole! Yes, sizing is my only complaint with Nadine West. It’s always labeled the right size, but sometimes it’s just off.

  8. Your stuff was so much better than mine this month! Love the red top and purple dress! 3/4 of my clothing items were WAY too small (I guess you had one like that) and if the 4th had been an actual dress as it was labeled instead of a tunic, I may have kept it. But my jewelry was awful! This beaded pearl heart pendant that looked more appropriate for my daughter, a cheap looking faux diamond necklace, a bangle (when I said I have small wrists), and a cheap-looking gold and pearl bracelet (at least that fit me!) I tend to get such mixed results from them–giving them one more month, then deciding whether to keep or cancel. (I still get the old $6.50 rate, so I’m reluctant to cancel in case I want to start again…)

Also, you should probably update the description, as now they tend to send 6-8 items instead of 2-5.

    • Good catch! Thank you Jill!
