Loot Wearables November 2018 Review

In classic Loot Crate form, the November Loot Wear delivery shipped late and we received this box near the end of December:

It comes with a fold-out information pamphlet that will detail the entire Loot Wear line for the theme, which is "Laboratory". Other items in the line feature Dexter's Lab, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Adventure Time.

This month's Wearables is NASA themed!

They've also included a coupon for $60 off Hello Fresh.

Ok, now let's get to the NASA stuff!!

NASA Earflap Beanie

This month there isn't just one, but TWO items featuring everyone's favorite space program! I've been seeing NASA branded sneakers popping up that I've been tempted to buy, so when I saw this come through I jumped at the chance to review it. I don't know if every kid in the 80s (or just every kid ever) grew up wanting to be an astronaut, but I sure as heck did. I even had an astronaut Cabbage Patch Kid. Sadly, I discovered boys at some point and dreams of Space Camp took a far back seat. This beanie isn't quite the style I'd normally go for because of the flaps, but my gosh is it warm. It's 100% acrylic and mostly charcoal grey except for the blue and red pom-pom at the top and the red, white, and blue NASA patch on the front. It's lined with black fleece for extra warmth, so this is going to be great in the Midwest (or Appalachia, the Mid-Atantic...wherever Pittsburgh lands on the map). Perhaps I'll rock this bad boy when I'm visiting Cleveland where that Lake Effect shoots the chill right through you.

NASA Scarf

This is the item that really got me excited. I'm really into soccer scarves and have a couple already from a band and record store I like. They have a real classic vibe that always looks cool, in my opinion. This one has a charcoal grey body with red, white, and blue stripes at either end. The middle has a large white iconic NASA logo and the ends are finished in red fringe. The fabric is 100% acrylic and is double-layered so it's quite warm and surprisingly soft. There is a bit of a weird smell to this one, but I'm confident that it'll dissipate once I air it out and Febreze it a bit.

Here I am wearing both items at once to stay warm.

GO TEAM NASA! YOU CAN DO IT!

Andy made this little edit of me on the Moon. It's cold up there, y'all.

Verdict: NASA stuff rules and these came at a great time of year (even though they were delivered quite late). I'll have plenty of time to rock these through March when it's still freezing in Pittsburgh. Loot Wear did a rad job curating these wintery space items and since they're exclusive, they cannot be found elsewhere.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, since themes cut off at the 19th of every month. Order today to get January as your first. Check out the spoilers HERE.

This sub is the absolute worst at shipping. Don’t expect your boxes in the month they are sold.
