January 2019 "Feeling Fetch" Review
This month I received four high-end brushes for eyes and face. All of these brushes are from the Creator Series and have precision synthetic and natural bristles. I really like the matte black handes! Let’s see what I got:
The theme this month is "Feeling Fetch". It's an interesting choice of theme for brushes that (may) have natural bristles. I couldn't find the bristle material info for these brushes though, so I'm not sure.
The info card comes with a photo and short description of how you can use each brush. Many brushes can be used for many different things, so you can make them work best for you. You can check their blog for a video rundown of the brushes and how to use them as well.
M6 Pro Flat Buffer - Retail Value $12
I used this kabuki style brush to buff on my liquid foundation. It's soft and is the perfect size to cover a lot of area while still being able to get into tight spaces (like the sides of my nose). I also really like it for applying my loose mineral foundation for a full coverage look. The best part of brushes like this is that I can buff some color right into my hairline for a seamless transition.
M434 Blending Buffer Brush - Retail Value $6
For my eye look, I used this blending brush to apply a dark shade to my crease. The flat, short bristles are great for packing on color and the domed shape makes blending easy. I followed up with a clean blender, like the M531 from last month, to diffuse the color onto my lid.
M455 Detailed Bullet Crease - Retail Value $5
I think the small, pointed shape of this brush is so useful for so many things. Here, I'm using it to precisely deepen the color on the outer corner of my eye. Then I smudged the leftover product onto my lower lashline. I also use it for applying highlight to my inner corners and under my brow bone.
M451 Detailed Highlighter Brush - Retail Value $8
I used this light fluffy brush to sweep highlighter onto the tops of my cheekbones. I'm typically a fan brush kinda girl, but this is perfect for when I need a much more intense pop of highlight. The shape and flexibility of these bristles make this brush great for setting the under eye area with precision.
Verdict: MorpheMe Monthly Brush Club sent four professional-level brushes that have a total retail value of $31. I'm really happy with the brushes included this month. The quality is great and I like that they can all be used for multiple things. I didn't have a highlight brush like this in my collection before, so I'm happy to add a new brush style.
