Facetory SEVEN LUX January 2019 Review
A welcome card was included in this month’s box providing general directions for masking. I always recommend that you cleanse and tone prior to the application of any mask.
Now on to the masks!
FaceTory Moon Velvet Moisturizing Cream Mask - Listed Value $4.00
I liked the packaging for this mask more than the mask itself. I don't usually have a great experience with super heavy cream masks because they leave my skin feeling really sticky. This mask wasn't the worst in terms of stickiness, but I prefer clear serum masks any day! This mask was quite hydrating due to the shea butter. The scent was a little heavier than some other masks, kind of like a mix of night-blooming flowers and musk. I would recommend using this one before bed for sure.
DAF V7 Vita Pearl Mask - Listed Value $3.50
This was one of my favorites this month! It had such an incredible smell! This was a three-step mask so you began with a fun bubble cleanser. The mask itself fit my face well and was very cooling. The only thing I wasn't completely sold on was the final cream, as it was ridiculously heavy (even by my dry skin standards) and didn't absorb completely, leaving my face covered in a white film, much like bad sunscreen. Avoid the final step though, and you have an awesome mask experience!
Coscodi Propolis Blanc Cell Mask - Listed Value $4.00
My skin loves anything with propolis because it really helps bring down redness from inflammation. This mask had a nice honey scent and a light clear serum that absorbed easily. It could have fit my eyes better, but you can't have everything.
Blooming Cell Pink Peel 2 Step Mask - Listed Value $5.00
This was another favorite! It was a white mask with a pale pink serum that has such a pretty floral scent. It was a two-step mask. First, you used the little lactic acid exfoliating pad in the upper section of the packaging. Right after you apply this awesome mask. It had a mesh backing which made application easier, and so much of the pink serum left in the pouch that you could add even more on top of the mask and still have some left over for your neck.
Rael Beauty Lab Tea Tree Fresh Forward Mask - Buy 5 for $12.99
This was another winner for me. It has a strong tea tree scent mixed with green botanicals. The mask applied easily, stayed in place, and literally sucked the redness from my face. The serum was clear and fresh. It absorbed easily and left no filmy feeling behind.
Elensilia IntraCELL Escargot and Caviar Repairing Mask - Listed Value $4.50
The serum was a little heavier than most, but not so heavy that it feels like it just sits on your skin doing nothing. It had a light, fresh fragrance and absorbed easily into my skin. It was exceptionally cooling! It has extracts from caviar and escargot, which made it feel like a truly luxurious mask.
Banobagi Vita Cocktail Foil Mask, Brightening - Listed Value $4.00
I want to love foil masks, but they are always much stiffer than others and never fit my face right. This one had two pieces, which did help with overall fit. There was virtually no scent on this one, and it was one of the stickiest masks I have ever worn.
Verdict: Facetory sent quite the variety this month! I loved that there were two multi-step options! My favorite would have to be the Blooming Cell Pink mask, but the Pearl mask and the Tea Tree one were also home-runs for me. While one or two of the others weren't all-time favorites by any means, they were all solid choices for this sub. If you love unique and harder to find sheet masks each month, you can't go wrong with this subscription.
