Empress Mimi The Empress Box Lingerie Subscription for November 2018
For my first month of Empress Mimi, I received The Empress Box which is the top tier of the subscription. When I opened the lovely packaging I found a matching bra and panty set, a kimono, and a delicate gold jewelry set. Let's check them out!

Queen Bee Bra and Panty Set
This month's lingerie set includes a bralette and panty in shades of apricot satin and lace. I could immediately feel the quality when I unboxed it. The lace is very soft and stretches to move freely with the body. I found this set to be comfortable enough to wear all day under my normal clothes and incredibly flattering on its own. There's no cutting into tender areas or scratchy textures to irritate the skin.
The bra features a mesh layer under the lace on the cups which gives me some extra support and smoothing action. The satin band and straps are thick and stretchy with a brushed texture on the inside for comfort. I love that I can easily adjust the strap length on my own. Plus, those rhinestones make me feel even more luxe!
The cheeky style panty has a high-rise, thick waistband that hits at my natural waist. Again, everything about these is soft and comfortable. As non-glam as it is, I have to mention that there is a gusset (that panel in the crotch area) that is silky and provides an extra layer of comfort and support. That is often a feature that is left out of cheaper lingerie but something that I consider very important if I'm going have a panty on for more than a few minutes.
Queen Bee Kimono
Big sleeves, feathers, silky sash...Oh My! This is one fabulous kimono! The sheer fabric matches the lingerie set perfectly and I'm swooning over these big, billowy sleeves. This is my perfect cover-up for a midnight snack...it's got enough coverage to make you decent through the windows but not so much that you'd want to answer the door, ya know? While this is more of a showpiece, I think it will work quite nicely into my sultry wardrobe. Did they intentionally leave the silk sash unattached so not to limit its uses? ... Maybe. 🙂
Queen Bee Necklace and Earrings Set
What really brings this month into "The Empress Box" zone is the inclusion of this beautiful bee jewelry. Well, I don't particularly love bees, a little exposure therapy can't hurt. Especially since these are intricately detailed and just sparkly enough. The bracelet is adjustable from 6.5-8 inches and the earrings have a 1-inch drop.
The Verdict: Wow! This Empress Mimi box feels so posh. I can't say that I could keep up with a cost of around $150 each month for lingerie, but it's totally worth the splurge to invest in nice underthings! The quality is fantastic and everything felt so good while wearing...even all day. My favorite part is that I felt beautiful AND confident while getting dressed because I wasn't worried about having to "adjust this" or "cover that". This just made me look good! 🙂 I often default to boring bras and undies because the lingerie I own is just not comfortable or supportive. I'm excited to continue building my luxe foundation wardrobe with the upcoming months and replacing my current pieces with lovely, functional ones.
