Empress Mimi The Queen Box Lingerie Subscription for December 2018
This month, I received The Queen Box from Empress Mimi which is the middle tier of the subscription. When I opened the lovely packaging I found a matching bra and panty set in black mesh and satin.
A theme description card and a card with info about social media are included.
They also include some info about their return and exchange policy.
Bra and Panty Set
This month's lingerie set includes a bralette and panty in black mesh, satin, and lace. I could immediately feel the quality when I unboxed it. Everything is so soft and decadent with finished seams and edges. It makes sense because each piece is 100% handmade. The fabric content for this set is listed as 40% polyamide, 25% cotton, 20% silk, and 1% elastane.
The bralette has two layers of fabric for support and smoothing. There are cups made of soft lace and a mesh shelf panel finished with satin piping. All of the straps are adjustable for a perfect amount of lift and there are 3 sets of hook and eye clasps for the correct band fit. I love the thick silk-covered band; it holds everything up without the need for an underwire. I'm really impressed with how smooth my bust looked under a regular shirt.
The matching panty is mostly mesh with the same thick, stretchy band as the bra. The high-leg cut is super flattering and makes cheeks look lifted and sexy. The band cut in a bit at my love handles, but not enough to take away from the incredible confidant feeling the look gave me. For comfort and hygiene purposes, there is a fully sewn in gusset of silk. That's one of the small details that elevate this line of lingerie and makes it truly wearable and not just for show.
The Verdict: Wow! This Empress Mimi box feels so sultry. The quality is fantastic and everything felt so good while wearing...even all day. I love having luxe underthings that make me feel confident and sexy without having to constantly adjust. I often default to boring bras and undies because the lingerie I own is just not comfortable or supportive. I absolutely enjoyed my "Empress Box" last month, but I feel like "The Queen Box" is a great option for those that want to build their collections without an extravagant budget. I'm excited to continue building my luxe foundation wardrobe with the upcoming months and replacing my current pieces with lovely, functional ones.
