I was a customer for the first 5 boxes, and they told me the $35 shipping charges to Canada included the custom fees. A few times I had to pay the fee because of a mistake breobox did, but the last box was my final straw. I called the company and politely told them I had to pay the fed ex fees and they never offered to reimburse me. Thaat was it for me, and that $14 cost them a long term customer. If they don’t care enough to refund my fee that they promised, then they can go find a new customer somewhere else.

Hi Yukon_Guy,

We pay the shipping and customs charges for our Canadian subscribers, if you were somehow charged we would have been happy to reimburse with proof of payment. When we set up shipments to Canada, there is a box to check on who is responsible for the customs charges (shipper, receiver) if the box is not checked for shipper the courier defaults to charging the receiver. We apologize for this negative experience, it was definitely not our intention please feel free to email me to discuss further if you wish: [email protected]

Any spoilers?

Hi, Liz! Does Breo ever show spoilers? I was a first-time subscriber for their Winter box and boy was I extremely underwhelmed. I honestly could not believe I paid $159 for all that stuff I won’t ever use. Their past boxes looked interesting so I took a risk and subscribed despite not seeing any spoilers but unfortunately, that risk did not pay off. So I was just wondering if they EVER post spoilers or it’s really a surprise each month?

The last 2 boxes made me cancel. They would need to hit a homerun to get me back. If you see a lack of spoilers like the last box then prepare to be underwhelmed.

I found pretty much everything in last 2 boxes very useful but for the price, I do want more unique items. I get that the Ember mug was cost prohibitive for them but there still needs to be a move “wow” curation.

How did that heated mug work? Did it last?

I finally opened the ember mug and started using it a couple of days ago. I was underwhelmed when I received it because I don’t drink coffee. I do, however, drink herbal tea. I’ve been finding out how really cool it is to make a cup of tea, have a few sips, take a shower, have a few more sips, run errands, etc.., and STILL have my tea be the perfect temperature. But in regards to your question, I have no idea whether the mug will last for very long.

I feel like I’ve been using less of the inclusions lately, so I am really hoping for a great Spring box.

Spring box will make it or break it for me. I hope they give us advanced spoilers.

Agreed. The last two boxes have been iffy for me, so this is make it or break it!
