Wantable Style Edit December 2018 Review

My stylist was able to include 2 of my requested items plus a few other things she thought would fit well with my current wardrobe. Let’s see what she sent!

packet contents info poster front info poster back

Wantable recently rebranded and updated their look. They refreshed the logo design and added this little sleeve to hold the invoice, return bag, and any extra info. This month they also included a poster size fold out with a company overview and some tips on how to get the best edit.

invoice stylist note

The info booklet includes a note from your stylist and the invoice. This month, Christina sent me 6 clothing items and 1 accessory.

invoice item breakdown

And here’s my invoice. If I were to keep the entire box, the $505 total would be discounted $121 (20% off + $20 styling fee deducted) for a total of $383.20. With this discount, each item would cost an average of $54.74.

Wantable also includes a prepaid return envelope to send back any items I don’t want to keep.

Striped Jumpsuit front Striped Jumpsuit belted Striped Jumpsuit back Striped Jumpsuit with jacket

W. By Wantable, Striped Sleeveless Jumpsuit in Black/White, L – Cost to Keep $68 (Return)

This first item is one that I requested in my Stream. I’ve been wanting to try a jumpsuit and I was drawn to the vertical black and white stripes and the fabric “wings” along the sides of the leg on this one. I think it’s cute, just not on my body. The length of the legs makes me fell stubby and the waist looks weirdly unfinished. A wrap belt definitely makes it look more polished though. I feel like it would work much better if it were longer in length and solid black.

Arabella Coat closed front Arabella Coat back Arabella Coat lining Arabella Coat hook

Tart Collections, Arabella Coat in Blush, M – Cost to Keep $108 (Return)

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to wrap a silk-lined cloud around you, then you want to try this coat. It may be the softest thing I’ve ever felt! The faux fur is made of polyester and it’s fully lined with silky polyester. It can be worn open and drapey or you can hook it at the neck and create a wrap look. While I wanted to keep this coat – it’s warm, has pockets, and is a beautiful blush color – I just don’t find it flattering at all. I think I’d wear it at home since it’s so cuddly, but it’s too boxy for my style.

Long Sleeve Tee side Long Sleeve Tee front

W. By Wantable, Long Sleeve V-Neck Tee in Black, M – Cost to Keep $42 (Keep)

This is my second requested item. It may be super basic, but I wear my long sleeve tees ALL THE TIME and needed a new black one. I like that it’s smooth and slinky with a touch of sheen. The arms and bust are more fitted while the waist flows away from my body without being billowy, which I love. And, the arms are full length!

Utility Skinny Pants front Utility Skinny Pants back Utility Skinny Pants zip pockets Utility Skinny Pants ankle zippers

Blank NYC, Utility Skinny in Down to Earth, 28 – Cost to Keep $98 (Return)

The cargo style pant is made chic with a slim cut and dark silver zippers. I love the zipper at the back of the ankle! It’s not only functional for adjusting width but also sassy. I’ve been after a pair of casual olive pants, and this was another pair that was so close to being perfect. But, they’re too tight at the waist, so I’m sending them back and gonna keep trying.

Bailey Plaid Top front Bailey Plaid Top back Bailey Plaid Top hem detail Bailey Plaid Top sleeves rolled

Beach Lunch Lounge, Bailey Plaid Top in Sunlight, M – Cost to Keep $68 (Return)

I’ve been so into plaid tops this winter because I think they look cute paired with jeans and booties! I have another shirt by this brand in a very similar style but different color. I was hoping this would fit as wonderfully as the other because I like these colors. The fabric is a soft and cool rayon that looks fine with a bit of wrinkle (or…is that just what I tell myself?) 🙂 Unfortunately, the upper arms were too tight to be comfortable.

Cage Sleeve Sweater front Cage Sleeve Sweater sleeve detail

W. By Wantable, Cage Sleeve Sweater  in Olive, M – Cost to Keep $69 (Keep)

You guys…I have this exact sweater in black from a previous edit! While I’m not crazy about receiving the same item again, I like the other one so much, I kept this one too. The 100% cotton, fine knit sweater has a forgiving cut that is slim but not fitted. I like that the shoulder details are different than the wide open cutouts I typically see. The ribbed knit at the hem and slashes and the rolled neckline show up better on this olive color than on the black too.

Wren Clutch with chain Wren Clutch inside Wren Clutch front detail Wren Clutch worn

Pretty Persuasions, Wren Clutch in Black – Cost to Keep $52 (Return)

I love a structured black clutch for going out, especially one that has room for my essentials. The card slots and zipper pocket are perfect for keeping cards and coins in line and my phone, car key, and lip gloss fit in the open compartment. I’m glad it comes with a crossbody chain since there isn’t a handle on the clutch itself. I already have a similar, black snake print clutch though, so I don’t really need this one.

The Verdict: My stylist did a really nice job of selecting items for my Wantable Style Edit this month! Each item lines up well with my style preferences or was something I requested to try. I’ve been keeping up with the Stream and requesting things I’m interested in which gives my stylist an idea of what I’d like. While I don’t want to complain about them picking things so spot-on with my style, I’m hoping for a few items next month that might push me and help me mix up my look. Since I’m keeping 2 items, I don’t receive the 20% discount, but my $20 styling fee will be applied to my purchase. So the total for the 2 items is $91. For $20 a month (which also includes free shipping and returns), Wantable Style Edit is a fun and convenient way for me to shop for clothes.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Wantable curates its boxes based on each individual’s preferences as well as what’s available. What you get might not be the same as what I got, but you also might get something that fits your style and body even better than the looks above! Sign up and see what they choose for you!

Value Breakdown: This styling fee for this box is $20.00 with free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the items inside is $505. The cost of each item is listed alongside it above, and if I choose to keep at least 5 items, I get a 20% discount. As long as I keep at least 1 item, my $20 styling fee is applied to my purchase.

  1. That coat is amazing!

  2. I don’t think this box is for me but I love reading the reviews. The clothes look great on Tiffany but they’re too young/trendy for me. The prices seem a little high too. I think if you have the time and patience to shop Nordstrom Rack, other discount stores or just sales in general you can get much better deals.

    • I tried on a shirt identical to the black one yesterday at old navy…it was $12!

  3. Please stop posting reviews of this box in the Canadian subscription section. This is not the first time. Yet, you say they don’t ship to Canada. Thanks

    • Sorry about that! I’ve removed the Canadian label. Thanks for the heads up!

  4. I totally disagree Tiffany! That jumpsuit looked killer on you! Was very flattering, definitely my fav out of them all!

  5. Oh my goodness, I love what they sent you! I disagree about the jumpsuit-you totally pull it off. That furry cream colored coat is amazing, too! Love this review.

  6. I agree. Get rid of the jumpsuit. The only thing I liked in the whole box was the plaid shirt, oh yeah and the green shirt at the end. I did like the pants too but they have a few too many zippers for my taste. The prices on the clothing is insane.

    • I concur. Plaid shirt – looks great on you, Tiffany. The green shirt too. Otherwise, meh! Oh and that coat looks super soft but not great. Insanely high prices!

  7. TIFFANY NO!!!! Don’t send that jumpsuit back! It looks amazing with that black belt.

    • I agree!
