The Zakka Kit November 2018 Review

The front of the info card has the theme (which is "Autumn Forest") and a short explanation.

The reverse side has a list of the items with descriptions and a total value.

Mushroom Sticky Notes by Greenflash

Oh my gosh, these are sooo cute and a touch classy! My Mom was really into mushrooms in the 70s so a lot of these and their colors r5emind me of my early 80s childhood. There is a total if 6 different sticky pads inside the small folder that keep them safe that includes three page markers, a mushroom shape, a square with a mushroom background, and a full-color mushroom lineup.

Autumn Forest Stickers

Nothing says Autumn like colorful leaves and of course squirrels burying nuts! Red, orange, and yellow leaves with some gold foil surround cream and brown squirrels on this sheet of washi paper stickers along with a few red mushrooms and various nuts. Cute for decorating cards!

Squirrel Mini Envelope

Following the squirrel theme, this single little envelope has a cute li'l one all over it in curled up, seated, or standing positions. Use this to carry a precious little note to a friend or loved one and don't forget to seal with a sticker!

Bear B6 Notebook

I'm surprised to see a full notebook in the box, even though it's not an incredibly thick one. The cover has a black bear wearing a tiny red hat who has a bird friend sitting on his back who also makes an appearance inside the pages on the bottom corners. It's a well-made notebook that is bound with brown string and would make a great place to jot down song lyrics or to-do lists.

Autumn Leaves Letter Set

Next in the Autumn theme is a set of three cards with matching envelopes that feature colorful birds on tree branches. Each one has lines for you to write a quick note- perhaps to say thank you or just to simply say hi before sliding it into the envelope that has the same design on both sides. I find these to be quite elegant in their own right.

Forest & Squirrel Washi Tape - Retail Value $5.00

Oh, this is cute. I love the squirrel tree and nut design, especially against the deep teal blue background. This will look really pretty on gifts or to seal envelopes. There is quite a lot on the roll as well so it should last a long time!

Uni-ball Signo UM-153 Pen - Retail Value $2.55

While this point is a little bold for my tastes, it's great for writing larger letters or perhaps addressing cards so that the letters are bold and easy to read instead of tony with my preferred fine point. The ink glides effortlessly from the pen and always for a really nice writing experience.

Verdict: This month’s Zakka Kit was full of super cute Autumn vibes and I loved the colors that were included in the items. The washi tape and mushroom sticky notes were probably my favorite from the box.

@Marne, I had to laugh when I read “My Mom was really into mushrooms in the 70s.” A lot of my friends were, too. But probably not for the same reasons. Lol!

I usually love these kits but wish they were about $5 cheaper – or that the items were easily available to purchase separately (the little notecard sets are always so cute!). The full kits are sometimes available on the nekobox site, but usually the individual items are not available for purchase. 🙁

I love the bear notebook, does anybody know the name of the shop selling it? Thanks.
