I think some of these RVs are off. For example,

Skinchemists Rose Quartz Youth Defence Lip Plump (8ml) is actually $24

Aromatherapy Associates De-Stress Muscle Gel (150ml) is actually $39

Isn’t the lip plumper $24?

Ladies, can you please help me! I have been deliberating on buying this and it has been sitting in my cart for some days at $62.10. Should I get it or not. I need help ASAP!!!!! Also were you charged sales tax?

I am already waiting on New Beauty Test Tube with a value of $296 and I think I paid about $29 total (saved $10). So the Advent box is double the cost of the Tube with a value of $340. Do I really need this? Help! What do you all think?

I bought 2. I think this is a great box. Last year the lowest I saw it was $55 and I loved that box too. I love the grow gorgeous hair serum and it retails for $55ish. So everything else in the box was a bonus. If there is a big retail value item that you like in the box it’s a great buy. If not, probably skip it. But, there are a lot of great full sized products in this box and I don’t remember it being discounted further than the $55 last year so this may be as low as it gets. If it goes lower I’ll probably buy another one. Yes, I was charged sales tax. Hope this helps.

Ha ha. I’m in the same situation. It has been in my cart for weeks now I think. I have a little regret I didn’t go for it last week when it was around $62 with the 30% off code and they still had the Cyber Monday gift available with a $120 purchase because I was thinking of splurging on two. Now I just keep hoping it will drop a little more and I’ll just buy one. I guess we’ll see. Now I need to check out the New Beauty Test tube deal!

I’m interested in the lip plump and the Omorovicza so I guess that makes it worth it. The other products I can use for stocking stuffers. I got last years and liked it. I gave the actual box away…it’s big and the drawers don’t slide well.

I have both of those items and would swap for the hair serum.

I read in a review that the 2018 version is an exact duplicate of the 2017 one is that true? I don’t want to believe everything I read, so right Is ask here…

This is so much better than last year! Use the search feature and check out the 2017 box. Not even close.

No, last year, it was so much better. This year, I am not buying it even with discount.

Janet

Oh, that’s a bummer. Well lucky that you got one last year!!! Wtg!
And thanks for clarifying.

What do you all think about buying this but saving it for my city’s silent auction for the very poor — which is always held in October?….These will make good items but the items will be a year old. Opinions?

Luna

If you’re looking to include an advent calendar for the silent auction they usually start to come out in early September. However, they’ll all most likely be for full price throughout the month though.

It’s probably not the greatest to auction off samples that have been sitting for near a year (as anyone who buys them will have to use them fast, sample tubes may be half empty, etc.) Maybe pick up a lifestyle sub instead? Depending on your budget Breobox, Popsugar, DL & Co, Box of Style, GlobeIn, or Causebox could be good candidates – maybe even Sprezzabox or Gentleman’s box for the men. Or wait until next year and grab the Spring or Summer Margot Elena Box. That would be around the $50 range but based on past boxes you can expect a large variety of items with about $220 value – so you could easily make up 5-6 smaller auction packs or 2-3 deluxe auction packs.

I agree that a Summer 2019 Margot Elena or other lifestyle box is a much better idea than an old 2018 Calendar.

By then, you’ll have come across many potential purchases of fresher stuff, whether through companies reviewed by MSA or from browsing on Amazon or at TJ Maxx. Are you really going to keep this in your closet for 10 months?

Saving For next year – 2019.

I bit. That’s a good buy. I saved $25 not buying Beautyfix this month. These are better sizes and products I will use.

Melissa

That’s a good point! I cancelled Beautyfix too, maybe I’ll give in to this – lots of good products!

I bought at $72 and thought it was a great deal. I loved everything and my daughter loves squirreling away little trinkets in the individual drawers of the box.

Same here. It’s currently sitting under my Christmas tree 🙂
