Now, on to the items!

Sisley December 2018 hair mask sample Sisley December 2018 hair mask sample back

Sisley Regenerating Hair Mask, 8 ml - Estimated Value $3.80 (Buy a full size 200 ml here for $95.00)

This heavy hair mask doesn't smell as great as the skincare below, but it is a scent I still like. This is a good thing since after leaving it on for 10 minutes it really stays in your hair! After washing it out my hair felt like it has just had some sort of crazy keratin treatment. It was so silky and smooth!

Sisley December 2018 perfume lotion Sisley December 2018 perfume lotion back

Sisley Izia Perfumed Body Lotion, 8 ml - Estimated Value $6.13 (Buy a full size 150 ml here for $115.00)

When it comes to perfumes, I lean much more towards unisex/masculine. Think campfires, old books, and some floral. This scent is absolutely nothing I thought I would like but it is just odd/unique enough for me to be really into it. Much brighter and sharper than my usual fares, it has a bold floral aroma with something else that is just a little weird and fascinating.  If I had to guess what it was I found so delicious about this scent it would be the pink peppercorn mid-note, an element I always adore in any fragrance profile. This perfume also smells wildly expensive. This lotion delivered much more scent than moisture, but I am really impressed at any lotion that delivers as much fragrance as an actual perfume, which this on almost does.

Sisley December 2018 serum sample Sisley December 2018 serum sample back

Sisley Hydra-Global Serum, 1.5 ml - Estimated Value $9.56 (Buy a full size 40 ml here for $255.00)

This serum has that amazing Sisley herbal smell! I can't get enough of it. This serum was super cooling and left my skin just a wee bit tingly. I used it after toner and before my night cream. My skin felt very fresh and bright in the morning.

Sisley December 2018 serume concentrate box Sisley December 2018 serum concentrate Sisley December 2018 cream front

Sisley Firming Concentrated Serum, 2 ml - Estimated Value $36.00 (Buy a full size 30 ml here for $540.00)

I don't think I have ever put a serum this expensive on my face. How I wish it didn't smell so fresh and herbal and feel like magical potion on my skin! The folks at Sisley recommend 2 months of use to really see results, but my tiny tube surely won't last that long. I will cherish this little tube while I can! I am actually using it around my eyes only to extend our time together. My delicate facial skin seems extra smooth, perky, and firm with this cream, but for the price, it is absolutely something I will have to learn to live without.

Sisley December 2018 serum concentrate back Sisley December 2018 cream back

Sisley Velvet Nourishing Cream with Saffron Flowers, 4 ml - Estimated Value $17.88 (Buy a full size 50 ml here for $220.00)

This heavy cream was like velvet on my skin, so it is aptly named. It left my face feeling hydrated and very luxurious. It immediately reduced my redness which I always appreciate, though it might be too heavy for day wear if you tend to wear much foundation. I used it under powder and it was good for me during the day, but I am comfortable with minimal coverage. I feel like my normal foundation would have sat weird on this formula though, so I will likely reserve this precious tube for evenings.

Sisley December 2018 lip crayon Sisley December 2018 lip crayon open

Sisley Phyto-Lip Twist in #15 Nut, 1.0 oz -Estimated Value $20 (Buy a full size 2.5 oz here for $50)

Oh my. It isn't fair that I am now obsessed with a $50 lip crayon. The color is absolutely gorgeous. It is one of those shades that you can't really apply too much of, so you don't need a mirror. It also has a ridiculous amount of staying power. The color is called Nut, but it is a peachy rose and is a perfect punchy accent to my natural lip color. I guess you could say, I'm nuts for it. It is my ideal shade for everyday wear. The formula also leaves your lips feeling amazing. Don't even try this unless you want to love it and spend the rest of your afternoon justifying a $50 lip product. *adds to cart* Merry Christmas to me.

Verdict: This box has a value of about $93.37, which is close to absurd for a $10 box. It was a great introduction to some of Sisleys most amazing products and I will cherish these tiny little foils and tubes for as long as I can. The lip pencil was such an incredibly generous sample for such a low-cost box and maybe someday I can add that incredible serum to my routine. I am still really torn on the perfumed lotion scent, but I bet I will cave and MAYBE splurge on that scent someday. Sisley is so luxe and I am pretty much obsessed with their formulas now.

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I can see why it’s hard to understand how so many of us like this box because the samples are small. If you get the box, you’ll understand. The product does go a long way for the amount you get and it’s soooo good.

Yesterday I applied a small amount of the Izia lotion on my forearms in the morning. That evening my husband told me I smelled good. Many hours later it still smelled nice and was never overpowering. It’s just really nice. I have a growing list of things I want to purchase from Sisley after testing them in from this box. Maybe now that Christmas is over I can justify getting at least one thing.

I didn’t know about rewards…. I’m in that stat… I LOVE their products… and that lip pencil is AMAZING! I still have the eye crayon I got back in March and I love that thing! It’s great for quick application in the am and has a shine without fallout!

I might have to keep my eyes out for a sample of an eye crayon! If it is anything lip the lip I will absolutely adore it.

This review made me take the plunge. I love everything you received, I especially want the lip crayon. I really hope I get this specific box as my first.

I DID get this box,and I love, love, love it. The body lotion smells divine. My husband got it for me for my birthday. That firming serum seems like magic but I’d have to win the lottery for that one.

I am sure this is an awesome sub but know I would be annoyed by such small samples month after month. Foil samples? 1.5 ml samples? Quality might be fantastic but I need more product.

Megan K.

You get around 2-3 uses per foil, so I try to approach some as paying for an individual treatment. The quality is also super high, so a little goes a long way!

I found your comment about the Izia lotion smelling wildly expensive to be spot on. My husband bought me a bottle for mother’s day and every time I wear it out and about I am asked about that unusual, classy scent I have on. Even more popular than my Chanel Eu Tendre. It’s a special occasion fragrance and getting that lotion sample was such a treat!

I felt like money wearing it hahaha

My mom wore that lotion after a shower on Christmas, and boy did she smell foo-foo!!! She has really fell in love with Sisley’s fragrances this year, so I think I just may get her one for her birthday next year. 🙂

The botanicals Sisley uses are like my own private (insert name of illicit drug here). I was able to score more points on the Beauty Subscription for another year of gold status, aka a free box each month. Nothing makes my skin feel as good as a Sisley Serum.

It is addictive for sure..

Oh do tell I’m on my second year.

If you are a member of the Sisley rewards program you get points for each purchase. Sometimes they offer extra points. Gold status is 100 points for the year, which is generally $1000 in spending, but I was able to get 160 points for 4 subscriptions (yes, it’s excessive, but with the sample sizes I have justified it). That means free subscription for being gold status and I will get the 160 points which is $160 in credit (assuming they credit it correctly). In theory, that’s another subscription for a year and a 6-month subscription. Basically, for $424 (with tax) I should be able to get 6 of the 12-month subscriptions and 1 6-month subscription. You can’t beat that. Better than what I got last year. I absolutely love their products.

I absolutely love that firming serum but still find it hard to justify $500+. I bought a Sisley blush at the Nordstroms counter and they gave me another sample of it. So I guess if you really want more you could head to Nordstroms(or Neimans). Both stores are pretty generous with samples.
