The Bakery Box is a monthly subscription box from Shea Shea Bakery. Each month you will get bakery-inspired bath and body products. Each month is a different theme (with new scents!), and most often the items included in the box are not made available for sale outside the box.

The Bakery Box November 2018 Review - Information Sheet Front

This box doesn’t come with a traditional info sheet detailing the products, but it does include a little card about the company as a whole.

The Bakery Box November 2018 Review - Cranberry Marmalade Body Mist Front

Cranberry Marmalade Body Mist, 4 oz - Estimated Value $7.50 (Buy a 2 oz for $5 and an 8 oz for $10 in a different scent here)

Cranberry is such an under-appreciated fruit when it comes to scents, and this body mist smells just like delicious cranberry sauce on Thanksgiving- tart and fresh with a hint of sweetness.

The Bakery Box November 2018 Review - Cranberry Sauce Body Wash Front

Cranberry Sauce Body Wash, 4 oz - Estimated Value $5 (buy an 8 oz body wash in a different scent for $10 here)

This body wash also smells deliciously like cranberry sauce, but it is VERY red. It looked a little bit Rosemary’s Baby-esque in my shower when I was lathering up, so I was happy to see this didn’t stain my skin (or my tub!).

The Bakery Box November 2018 Review - Candied Cranberry Body Scrub FrontThe Bakery Box November 2018 Review - Candied Cranberry Body Scrub Open Top

Candied Cranberry Body Scrub, 2 oz - Estimated Value $6 (based on different body scrub found here)

This is a very dry body scrub, to the point where it was too dry for my tastes. I actually ended up mixing this scrub with the body wash before exfoliating, and I was happy with how smooth this left my skin after. Bonus: I smelled delicious. This is another bright red product that didn’t stain, so props to that.

The Bakery Box November 2018 Review - Hydrating Conditioner Sample FrontThe Bakery Box November 2018 Review - Hydrating Conditioner Sample Open Top

Hydrating Conditioner Sample

I don’t think Shea Shea Bakery currently sells conditioners, and if they do I cannot find it online. I was a little bummed that this sample tub wasn’t filled up- I probably only have two showers worth of conditioner in here. That being said it was very hydrating and helped to leave my strands silky smooth. This helped when I was combing through my wet hair, too.

The Bakery Box November 2018 Review - LA Biscotteria Chocolate Almond Biscotti Packet TopThe Bakery Box November 2018 Review - LA Biscotteria Chocolate Almond Biscotti Open

LA Biscotteria Chocolate Almond Biscotti – Buy a box of 24 here for $24.95

I was supposed to actually receive a cranberry biscotti, but due to the devastating California wildfires, some adjustments had to be made. I am 100% fine with the substitution, and I just hope the team over at LA Biscotteria are doing alright. Also, this was delicious and I wanted to dip it into an English Breakfast tea latte.

The Verdict: This was a fun November box from The Bakery Box! I enjoyed getting to try an exclusive product in the conditioner (though I wish the container was more full), and the combination of body wash and scrub left me soft and smelling yummy. Extra bonus points for the fact that these were all exclusive scents, too.

To Wrap Up:

Can you get this box if you sign up today? If you sign up today your first box will be the December box.

Value Breakdown: This box costs $19.55 + $5.00 shipping, which means that each of the 4 items (not counting the delicious biscotti, which I view as a bonus) in the box has an average cost of $6.14.

The Bakery Box is a " purchase full of limited edition bakery-inspired box. Each month is a different theme and scent...Most often, Bakery Box items are not sold separately so get them while you can. Once a box is sold out, it is gone for good."

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.

There was a previous note (maybe in an e-mail / can’t remember) that the conditioner was a new item they were introducing and there would be a small sample inside the November box for customers to test it before release. I was really bummed that my container was half-empty, too, but it was just a bonus sample and not actually part of the box contents.

Is a tea latte the same as milk tea? Never heard of that before. Anywho, cranberry sounds yummy!

Hi Amber!
To me, a tea latte is a tea (usually black or chai) is made with steamed milk so it has that layer of foam on top. I am currently sipping one now and it is so tasty!

Ah, ok thanks! I don’t like chai (actually, I’ve never tasted it, but the smell bothers me lol!) I do love milk in my tea, not sure I would like steamed milk but it seems like a nice alternative latte for people who don’t like coffee!
