Goddess Provisions "Crystal Wisdom" Box Review December 2018
Here's the info card with the theme and product list for the month. The theme is "Crystal Wisdom" and as a rockhound, I am all in for this.
Let's dive in!
Rose Quartz Facial Roller - Estimated Value $19.99, Listed Value $35.00
Before we start, I just want to mention that this is one of those types of products that is incredibly hard to value since it is unbranded and you can find tons of these for sale from many different sellers in a very wide price range. The card that comes with this month's box states a listed value of $35.00, which I think is rather high. I have linked to a super similar option that is also completely made of rose quartz that is significantly less expensive. I have even seen them at T J Maxx for as little as $9.99. On the flip side, you can purchase rose quarts rollers that are even more than $35.00. At the end of the day, use your best judgment when picking a seller, choose a roller that is 100% quartz, jade, or whatever you choose to roll with, and be selective within your budget. Let the stone speak to you.
Ok! On to more fun aspects of this review: I have wanted a roller for a long time now but held off on buying one because I just knew I would get one in a box if I waited long enough. Anna and Marne's guide to jade rolling didn't help with my impatience, and I highly recommend reading it for knowledge and giggles. This is such a pretty pink quartz and I used it after leaving it in my fridge post sheet mask. It was chilly in the best way! I am not 100% sure I buy into all of the magical attributes associated with stone rollers, but they do feel good and make you and your vanity look incredibly fancy.
Life Flower Care Bat Bomb - Listed Value $9.00
This little mini bomb smells divine. It comes from seller Life Flower Care who doesn't have this exact bomb on her site but does have some full-size options with CBD oil. I actually plan on ordering a few to try out specifically for the CBD oil factor. They are also some of the prettiest bath bombs I have ever seen, and each has an embedded crystal. This bomb does not have the CBD oil, which is good because not everyone is into that. It does have grapefruit essential oil, sage and hibiscus petals, and a cleansed an charged rose quartz. It left my skin feeling clean and smelling great.
SkinOwl Rose Quartz Illuminator - Listed Value $30.00
Body oils are a godsend in the winter. I am never sad to see them in any of my boxes, especially something like this that gives my skin and especially my legs a dewy glow. The pricing/value was a little confusing for me as the seller has the same product/size on her site with the addition of loose rose quartz crystals for $62.00. Ours is missing the crystals but that sure makes $30 seem like a deal! This formula boasts multiple skin loving oils, as well as Vitamin E, Neem, Rosemary extract, and mica for shimmer. It smells lightly of vanilla.
Zen and Meow Mandala Crystal Grid - Retail Value $7.00
This little 3-inch mandala grid is utter perfection for usage with my smaller crystals. Per the designer:
A mandala is a spiritual and ritual symbol in Hinduism and Buddhism, representing the universe. In common use, "mandala" has become a generic term for any diagram, chart or geometric pattern that represents the cosmos metaphysically or symbolically; a microcosm of the universe.
Crystal grid and healing sets are groups of stones that go together for a purpose. Sets of crystals and stones are used for ritual magickal or spiritual crystal healing purposes or with Reiki-Seichim energy work for healing. Some are generalized and others have specific purposes.
I don't really know enough to dive into the true depths of this art, but I am more than happy to arrange crystals with this grid for relaxation and beauty's sake.
Love & Light School Crystal Grid Oracle Deck - Retail Value $19.00
This helpful little deck has crystal grid layouts and the messages and meanings behind them. Even if you aren't really confident with using the grid these cards are an excellent resource for just learning about crystal attributes in general and how they work together.
Fine and Raw Chocolate Lucama & Vanilla Bar, 1 oz - Retail Value $5.00
I don't usually love dark chocolate but I was really surprised by this little bar. It is vegan and what it lacks in creaminess it makes up for in taste. This is absolutely a small bite and savor type of treat, and just a little square really hits the spot. The vanilla flavor was strong and the chocolate itself was beautifully textured.
The Verdict: As usual, my Goddess Provisions box felt like a well thought out and super special experience. I am over the moon with my rose quartz roller and beautiful crystal grid. My legs are looking extra smooth thanks to the rose quartz inspired oil, and beautifully scented bath bomb. The chocolate was the literal dessert to this great box. I am guestimating a total value of about $90 for these products and each box comes with a downloadable digital file as well, worth an estimated $11. This all means a great value for a $33 box.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, but you can sign up now for the January box here! Also, some past boxes do end up for sale here!
Value Breakdown: The box cost $33.00 with free US shipping, so each item (minus the digital download) averages out to a cost of $5.50.
