BohoBabe December 2018 Review
BohoBabe provides an itemized list of products featured in your box, including a little blurb and a price for each product. December’s “GratefulBabe” box includes items to help you take time out and manifest gratitude.
Each month BohoBabe includes a few bonus items. This month features a rose gold tipped, white feather by Paperlovebugs, a floral bookmark and a grateful affirmations mandala print.
Create Your Own Gratitude/Vision Board - Listed Value $10
It is never a bad idea to take some time and dedicate it to the things you’re grateful for; a vision board is perfect for that! If you visit this webpage, BohoBabe throws out a ton of ideas to help you get started.
Gratitude Candle by Magic Fairy Candle, 2oz - Retail Value $7
This candle smells so lovely; it reminds me of incense but has a powdery finish to it. This candle doubles as a body oil, so I had to test it out! I lit the candle for just 10 minutes to get it a little melty, blew it out and let it set for about 30 seconds. I dribbled a little oil on the back of my hand; It had a thicker oily texture and moisturized the back of my hands without absorbing into the skin for quite a while. The smell was very overpowering, so I might just stick to using this one as its original purpose.
Heart Shaped Rose Quartz - Listed Value $10
This little cutie was missing from my box this month, but I was promptly sent a replacement after reaching out to customer service. Even though this stone is about the size of a quarter, it carries a big impact! BohoBabe refers to this stone as the stone of “divine love,” emanating love from the owner of the heart to attract feelings of love and gratitude from his/her surroundings.
Copper With White Tassels Necklace - Listed Value $32
This funky necklace screams boho chic to me. The fringe and copper detail totally make this necklace for me, and the suede cord just adds to that aesthetic. I don’t like the look of long necklaces on me, so if I wore this necklace out, I would trim the cord and make it so it hangs right in the middle of my chest, front and center. The jewelry I usually go for is all metal, so this is a fun, fresh addition to my collection, but I don’t know if I have the proper attire to go with this find for now.
Handmade “Grateful For You” Cards - Listed Value $5
Greeting cards are a great addition to any subscription box. I love having cards on hand for any special occasion, and I think sending a “Grateful for you” card is just as important as sending out a birthday card, especially around the holidays.
Hand-painted Feather Ornament Garland - Listed Value $18
Adorned with 8 hand-painted feathers, this garland measures about 38 inches. These purple-grey feathers are painted at the tips with a sparkly gold paint which is quite festive for the holidays.
Boho Tassel Scarf by BohoBabe - Listed Value $34
Ultra soft and oversized, this scarf is such a cozy addition to this month’s box! The cutouts and neutral gray color could easily dress up any outfit, and with about 80 x 26.5 inches to wrap around me, this scarf is sure to keep me warm and stylish all season long! This scarf is definitely my favorite find in this month’s BohoBabe box.
The Verdict: BohoBabe finds always bring a smile to my face. I love the different themes every month, and I think it is so awesome that they mainly source their items from small businesses. The value of this box this month adds up to $116, which is pretty good for a $49.99 box; I like that they included fewer items with higher retail costs this month, like the scarf and the tassels necklace, and they continue to curate a very balanced box between accessories, home goods, and beauty items.
