Not sure where to put this, but I randomy came across a pantry/food sub a couple weeks ago called PandaCooking. It is awesome! It’s quarterly – I just bought the year in advance – and it sends 20lbs+ of shelf-stable food in a box. I got my first box pretty quick, in less than a week I think.

There was *tons* of food. I was a little overwhelmed – probably not one for gifting straight as it is! Though I could see making up some gift packs from it.

There were many types of things: spices, including a Slap Ya Mama Cajub spice, very large size, that will last me years; snacks, including some nice cookie/chocolate bars and amazing dark chocolate almonds; pasta, rice, and sauces; honey, even a ‘propolis spray’ for the throat that was actually very handy for helping my throat as it was irritated from allergies; date syrup; oatmeal and cereal, the same Kind cereal I’d had for breakfast, oddly enough; salami; salts; drinks, like tea and coffee pods; a couple non-food things like a beer cozy and bottle opener; and so much more.

There was some stuff to make like a bloody Mary or something with beer (beer not included) – some tomatoey mix in, a few types of flavored salts, and some other chile paste and spices. I’ll probably make a gift bag out of that for my brother. The kids picked the “Hello Kitty” Pasta for dinner, as that was a cute selection. And there was a giant thing of Shortbread syrup I’ve been enjoying in my coffee.

It was a good mix of known brands and niche brands like you might find at themed markets. Most everything was full size, as well, though there were a few one-serving snacks in there and I think a sample of BBQ sauce.

If you are looking for a way to stock up/spice up your pantry, it’s $150+ worth of food for something like $45. I’m pretty happy with it. Just be prepared for a GIANT, heavy box.

I also get ImperfectFoods as a regular grocery box – I do the every-other-week sub, which is great for Fresh produce, meat, snacks, niche items, and even some nice skincare!
