Yogi Surprise November 2018 Review

Yogi Surprise November 2018 Review - Information Card FrontYogi Surprise November 2018 Review - Information Card Back

This month is all about cultivating an attitude of gratitude.

Yogi Surprise November 2018 Review - Yoga Flow Card FrontYogi Surprise November 2018 Review - Yoga Flow Card Back

There’s a card that outlines a yoga flow to help me get grounded. I like that all of the poses are familiar to me and not too complicated.

Yogi Surprise November 2018 Review - Daily Gratitude Journal by Carrie Elle FrontYogi Surprise November 2018 Review - Daily Gratitude Journal by Carrie Elle Back

Daily Gratitude Journal by Carrie Elle – Estimated Value $10? (buy a different version for $20)

This daily gratitude journal is such a timely box inclusion! I have been feeling especially grateful over the past few weeks, and I love that I can use this journal to capture that. It has a space to state my intention for the day, what I am grateful for, and half of the page has a dot grid pattern to use however I use (they suggest positive affirmations, notes, and all things creative). I couldn’t find this exact journal on the Carrie Elle store - the ones available for purchase have laminated covers, more pages, and are spiral bound. This is just as functional, but that is why I estimated the value to be lower than the prices found online.

Yogi Surprise November 2018 Review - Bombay & Cedar Essential Oil in Comfort Front

Bombay & Cedar Essential Oil in Comfort, 0.33 oz

Bombay & Cedar is one of the subscription boxes I absolutely swoon over, so I was so excited to get this essential oil from the brand. Comfort is a blend of lavender, peppermint, wintergreen, frankincense, marjoram, and Spanish rosemary- aka, it is heavenly. I used it with my Mala from the November Yogi Jewelry Surprise to meditate, and the scent was so calming! I think a few drops of this in a hot bath the next time I need some extra TLC would be heavenly too.

Yogi Surprise November 2018 Review - Mystic Ginger Apothecary Citrus Eucalyptus Yoga Mat Cleaner Front

Mystic Ginger Apothecary Citrus Eucalyptus Yoga Mat Cleaner, 2 oz – Retail Value $12

I love citrus, I love eucalyptus, and I needed a yoga mat cleaner. Score! This is made with witch hazel so it is actually safe to use on your skin and body, and it is an invigorating scent that would pair perfectly with an uplifting yoga session.

Yogi Surprise November 2018 Review - Treadband All-Terrain Tieback Headband 1 With Tag TopYogi Surprise November 2018 Review - Treadband All-Terrain Tieback Headband 2 Top

Treadband All-Terrain Tieback Headband – Retail Value $18

I thought the knot on this headband was so cute, and so that is how I was wearing it. I couldn’t figure out why it kept slipping back when it is a “performance” headband- turns out the tie goes in the back (I guess the name tieback makes more sense now…). When I was wearing this correctly it did not budge, which is impressive considering headbands never stay on my weird shaped head. This box came with a coupon to the company, and I will be grabbing a few more!

Yogi Surprise November 2018 Review - Butter Depot Whipped Butter in Calm FrontYogi Surprise November 2018 Review - Butter Depot Whipped Butter in Calm Open Top

Butter Depot Whipped Butter in Calm, 6 oz – Estimated Value $15 (buy the 8 oz version for $20 normally, currently sold out)

This whipped butter had such a fun texture- it is similar to cold butter in that it is firm when you scoop it out of the jar, but it melts as soon as you apply it to your skin. This provided some serious moisture to my dry and scaly legs, and the scent is an amazing eucalyptus spearmint blend.

Yogi Surprise November 2018 Review - Bonus Gift Healing Amethyst Hoop Earrings Box TopYogi Surprise November 2018 Review - Bonus Gift Healing Amethyst Hoop Earrings In Box TopYogi Surprise November 2018 Review - Bonus Gift Healing Amethyst Hoop Earrings TopYogi Surprise November 2018 Review - Bonus Gift Healing Amethyst Hoop Earrings On

Bonus Gift: Healing Amethyst Hoop Earrings

Occasionally Yogi Surprise will include bonus gifts, and this month we received these amethyst hoops. I love amethyst, so I thought these were super stunning. I couldn’t figure out the hook and loop closure on these though- I have no idea how to fit the hook through my ear! When I asked a friend for help she put them on with ease, and they looked so good on her I had to let her keep them. I think she rocks them better than I ever could!

The Verdict: I seriously love my monthly Yogi Surprise box. I am a beauty and bath product junkie, so that is what most of the subscription boxes I receive are. This box is like a breath of fresh air that gives me the tools to be more healthy, mindful, and happy. Yogi Surprise promises a value of $85 every month, and though I couldn’t get a retail value for everything, I think they met that promise this month.

My box also included a small/short infinity scarf in colors of rust and light brown that wasn’t listed on the card. I’ll give that to my Mom, the earrings to my my aunt with the February birthday and the comfort oil to my sister who already uses essential oils for my 5 YO niece. So a good box all around.
