The Ms. Collection has several different plans to best fit your needs. They also have The Mr. Collection for men.

This is the review for The Ms. Collection Premium Once a Month plan, which sends 4 items for $69 per month (plus free shipping).

Each pack includes 3-4 pieces of quality, designer, casual clothing for your everyday look. When you sign up, you answer questions about your style (size, colors, patterns, clothing type, etc.). An actual stylist puts your pack together so, even though your pieces are a surprise, they should work for you. You can leave feedback for your stylist to help make your next pack even better.

The Ms. Collection Premium Once a Month Plan November 2018 Review

This month, my stylist sent some items for a business casual look. I dress business casual a couple of times a week for meetings so I like playing around with that side of my wardrobe too. My pack includes a blazer, pair of pants, 2 tops, and a camisole for layering.

Vince Camuto Sleeveless Drape Front Blouse, M - Retail Price $69, Member Price $55.20

The first item that caught my eye was this sleeveless blouse. The cornflower blue color is so unique and I don't have any of this shade in my wardrobe. I like the simplicity of this cut and the movement of the light chiffon. The hem is longer in the back so no worries about exposure when sitting in meetings. It looks nice worn alone but would also be a great piece for layering under cardigans or blazers. I can see this being a top I'd get a lot of wear out of in spring. I tend to gravitate to richer colors in fall and winter.

Kut from the Kloth pants

Kut from the Kloth Sayuri Straight Leg Trouser in Black Marble, 6 - Retail Price $88, Member Price $79.20

Now, I can't say that I ever associate dress pants with being comfortable, but these are! The fabric is a poly/rayon mix with a bit of spandex so they move and stretch with me, even when I'm sitting origami style in my desk chair. 🙂 The slim cut and ankle length looks sharp with flats or booties and the black marble pattern works with so many of the tops I have. The front pockets are functional and made of silky material so they lay flat at the hip while the back pockets are decorative.

Downeast Wonder Cami in Nude, M - Retail Price $9, Member Price $8.10

I typically layer a cami under my blouses at the office work for an extra layer of coverage and smoothing. I'm glad my stylist included this one to layer with the tops she sent. I may have to stock up on these Wonder Camis in different colors! This one is super soft, fitted but not tight, and doesn't have the dreaded built-in shelf bra. I like that it hits at hip level so it can be tucked in if needed.

BB Dakota Friday Night Stripes Cross Over Top in Oil Slick, M - Retail Price $78, Member Price $70.20

This poly chiffon blouse is so cute! I love the faux wrap look and the tie at the hip. The cami would come in handy here because, while there is a snap at the bust level, some sneak-peekage could still occur. Unfortunately, the arm area was too tight for me to wear it. Ah...the struggles of no stretch fabrics.

J.O.A. Boyfriend Blazer in Sienna, M - Retail Price $95, Member Price $85.50

And for the best part of business casual wear...the blazer! Nothing makes me feel put together like a structured jacket. This one is just so snazzy with its shiny gold circular buttons and high-low cut. The boyfriend cut doesn't really translate on me here (I'd need to go up a size I think) but I love how it fits, especially when worn unbuttoned. It's fully lined and very well-made with nice, deep pockets.

About Returns:

prepaid return bag and label

Each pack includes a pre-paid return envelope. When you are done with your pieces, just pop them in here and drop it off at the post office. The Ms. Collection will process your return and you’ll be ready to go for your next pack. (If you are purchasing anything, just leave them out of your return package.)

A note about cleaning: You don’t have to clean the pieces before sending them back. The Ms. Collection has everything cleaned once the pieces are returned. I didn’t notice any smell (including fragranced detergent which is good for those with sensitive skin), stains, or signs of wear. Actually, everything was in perfect condition!

The Verdict: The Ms. Collection went business casual on me this month and I enjoyed it. I only occasionally need dress clothes so it's nice to have some fresh pieces to throw in here an there. The colors and fabric were beautiful and so luxe feeling. Even though 1 of the items didn't fit, each of the other items fit wonderfully, so I'd say that's a success. And, since I'm just renting them, I don't have to worry about getting tired of anything or having unworn items in my closet. The total retail value of this pack was $339 and for a price of $69 with free shipping, it’s a good deal for me.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? The Ms. Collection picks clothing for you based on your style preferences so your pack will be different than mine. Sign up and see what they choose for you!

Value Breakdown: Since this is a clothing rental service, the value really comes from being able to change up and try new, styled looks every month. I also get a chance to wear high-quality brands that I wouldn’t be able to spend this kind of money on often. There is always the option to buy an item for a discounted price if you love it. Basically here is what I paid to rent each item for the month (based on retail price):

  • Vince Camuto Top - $12.77
  • Kut from the Kloth Pants - $1.87
  • Downeast Cami - $16.24
  • BB Dakota Blouse - $19.78
  • J.O.A Blazer - $18.33

Would you recommend purchasing the protection plan? Thank you!

No. That jacket doesn’t fit you. It is a fantastic color on you, and a good length in the torso and arms, but it is too tight through both the bust and the shoulders.
If you sized up it would be too long. I love sub boxes, but sometimes they make people feel they need to force themselves to like something that just doesn’t work or they lose their fee.
There have been so many things that look lovely on you… don’t compromise.

I love those Kut from the Kloth pants! They even look comfortable in the photos.
