Target Shea Favorites Holiday Beauty Box Review

Target Beauty Box Shea Faves Lipgloss Target Beauty Box Shea Faves LipGloss Back

SheaMoisture Fruit Fusion Shea Butter Lip Balm 0.5 oz– FULL SIZE! Retail Value $3.29

This is a heavy duty lip balm! I was really excited about this product with the inevitable chapped lips that come with winter weather. It is so thick that its actually slightly difficult to squeeze out of the tube when its cold. The scent is fruity and tropical and it is clear when applied. In addition to everyday use, I also applied it before bed and woke up in the morning with super hydrated lips. It could easily also double as a cuticle oil and easy source of moisture for chapped and dry elbows. For the price, this is an incredibly high-quality lip balm!

Target Beauty Box Shea Faves Curl Cream Target Beauty Box Shea Faves Curl Cream Back

SheaMoisture Coconut and Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie, 3.2 fl oz – Estimated Value $2.50 (Buy 12 oz for $9.39)

I have thick hair with a decent amount of texture, although I wouldn't consider it curly. Regardless, I generally enjoy hair products geared towards curly hair because they enhance the natural wave of my hair without smoothing it so much that it loses its texture. While this product absolutely doesn't make my hair curly, it does give me great beachy waves. I prefer to dilute it with water and use in a spray bottle on my towel dried hair, scrunch it, air-dry, and go! You can also add some salt to the mix if you like salt sprays. The only thing I didn't like about this product is the smell because it is really tropical and I don't like fruity scents.

Target Beauty Box Shea Faves Conditioner Target Beauty Box Shea Faves Conditioner back

SheaMoisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Strengthen & Restore Leave-In Conditioner,  3.2 fl oz – Estimated Value $2.81 (Buy 11 oz for $9.69)

This leave-in conditioner is really thick which makes it another ideal product to thin with water and spray in if you want a leave-in that is a little lighter. The smell is almost straight up shea and sugar, which I prefer very much over the fruity tropical scent of the other items in this review so far. I also tried this as a hair mask and then rinsed it out and loved it almost more than as a leave in conditioner. I can't complain about a multi-use product with ingredients that make my hair happy.

Target Beauty Box Shea Faves mud mask Target Beauty Box Shea Faves mud mask back

SheaMoisture® African Black Soap Clarifying Mud Mask - Tamarind Extract & Tea Tree Oil, 0.5 fl oz – FULL SIZE! Retail Value $2.49

If you have read any of my previous reviews, you know I have dry skin and though I adore clay masks for pore shrinkage, they really dry me out! This heavy white mask smells a lot like almonds and applies beautifully. It feels very substantial and almost luxurious. It also stays in place even when you really slather it on thick, which makes it the perfect choice for using while doing household chores, writing box reviews, or scaring your takeout delivery man. if you have dry skin, follow up with a hydrating sheet mask. Life is short; double mask like the queen you are!

SheaMoisture African Black Soap Face & Body Bar, 3.5 oz – FULL SIZE! Retail Value $3.97

I am a black soap enthusiast. It is a really great choice for someone who breaks out every once in a while but doesn't want to commit to acne products. Although my priorities are much more in line with anti-aging, this is a great soap to have around when my skin is in a funk. It is a face and body soap, so feel free to use accordingly! The smell is sweet but also medicinal, which I love very much. This product has already been commandeered by my husband who probably cares less about the ingredients and more about how badass this black soap looks in the shower. He did specifically want me to report that the little scrubby bits in the soap were awesome.

The Verdict: The Target Shea Faves Holiday Boxes is a solid box! It has a great variety of items and is a great way to try out shea based products. Value-wise, this box cost $14.99 and had a total retail value of $15.06. Although that isn't the huge value we often want to see from our boxes, it is full of high-quality products that are unisex and make amazing stocking stuffers.

What do you think of the Shea Faves box from Target?

I love natural/vegan beauty products, Korean skincare, unique jewelry, and weird candies from far away places. When I am not waiting for my next exciting box you can find me painting or taking photographs of interesting people. I never leave home without pug hair somewhere on my shirt and a bold lipstick on my smile.

I already have most of these products or I would have purchased this box. Breaking even is fine with me!

I agree! Its a great way to try new things without the risk of investing in a large full size item.

So the value of the box is…the same as what you pay for it? Well, that’s not so awful. It’s a fine way to sample these products without having to buy a full size, or to have travel sizes on hand. It’s not the triple or quadruple value that we enjoy in other boxes, and it’s not Target’s monthly box (not supposed to be), but that doesn’t make it bad.

Sorry, this should be a 7$ box, tops. There is no way this is worth 15 when you align it with the usual monthly offerings from target. Hard pass.

This is definitely not worth the box, what a rip off!!! The worth of the box is the exact same if you didn’t buy the kit. Can’t believe Target is even selling this! Definitely not worth it!!!!!

Not for that price. And these are products I already like and use most of them. I’ve been looking for a travel size kits for an upcoming trip. This would be better at an 8 or 10 dollar price point.
