Pet Treater Cat Pack November 2018 Review
I sometimes find the dog version of Pet Treater a little bit random but the cat version (maybe because it is smaller) is often a little more focused:
There’s not a traditional information card with this subscription, but you get a couple of inserts including a humorous sticker.
Kathy Ireland Loved Ones Reusable Catnip Sachet – Retail Value $7.97
I could pretty much only find this from third-party sellers on Amazon, so it is probably a closeout. Inside the bag is a plastic bag of catnip. When I opened the bag of catnip and dumped it in the bag and tied the drawstring, this became MUCH more interesting to my cats. So even though this seems to be a closeout, the catnip still seemed good. Monkey wouldn’t stop licking the bag.
Midwest CBK “Spot and Socks”
I can’t find this item for sale anywhere (kept getting results for sock monkeys and so forth). But, there was something about the fuzzy ball and the string connecting it to the main body (a soft catnip plush) that my cats found interesting. This is one I take away when I’m not around, though, because of the different ways string is involved. (Sneaky eats stringy things so we have to be very careful.)
Catit Eco Terra Toy
I found other items from this product line but not this one. Anyway, this has raffia and corn husk parts and Monkey found the texture fascinating. He kept wanting to sniff it and rub his face on it. My cats are really interested in different textures so toys like this are usually winners at our house. This is lightweight so your cat can knock it around easily.
Meowluv Tuna Flavor (2.1 oz) – Buy 30 Bags for $26.93
As best I can tell, these treats are a dollar-store-type item (if you search for them, several bulk sellers with “dollar” in the name pop up, and then there is the fact that an individual bag would sell for less than $1 at the third-party-seller Amazon price listed above). My cats actually liked them pretty well and they were not expired, but they do have a lot of corn and wheat in them, and grains are not ideal for kitties’ digestive systems. (On the other hand, treats shouldn’t be making up the bulk of their diets anyway.)
Gratuitous cat photos:
Angus liked the string here. (He wanted the treats, too, but he is on a very restricted diet at the moment while we try to figure out what is going on with his digestive system.)
Kitty tongue!
Monkey sticks his face in things.
Sneaky is far more interested in food than in toys…
Mr. Kitty was sleepy. He sure wanted the treats but with chicken, wheat, corn, and fish ingredients, they are a no-no for both his diabetes and his inflammatory bowel disease. (For what it’s worth, the veterinary ophthalmologist says his cornea is stabilizing, which is great news.)
Verdict: I couldn’t calculate a total value for the November 2018 Pet Treater Cat Pack because several items were not available for individual sale online. There seemed to be a lot of closeout and/or discontinued items this month, but that can happen from time to time with this subscription. The catnip in the catnip toys was apparently still good, and that’s important, plus the treats were not expired (and my cats did like them). Also, Monkey was really into all the toys, so that was nice.
