If you aren’t familiar with Golden Tote, here’s a really quick intro: Every month, a new "collection" of seasonally appropriate, trend-conscious clothing is added to their collection. Depending on the subscription level you choose, you can pick out 1-2 pieces from those options, and Golden Tote will surprise you with the rest. The surprise items are completely different from the collections you pick from. Golden Tote also offers a Surprise Tote, where you choose your preferred size but leave all the picking up to the stylists at Golden Tote.
Golden Tote offers a $149.00 Golden Tote (5 clothing items), or $59.00 Mini Tote (2 clothing items). Both allow you to pick at least one of your items. There's also a Surprise Tote (3 clothing items all picked by Golden Tote) for $89.00.
This is a review of the 5-item Golden Tote, which is $149.00. This month, I selected 2 items for my 5-item tote and they add 3 surprise items.
And for those of you asking, yes, everything does arrive in a literal tote!

Doubled Up Top - Retail Value $35
This top is made of a blue knit fabric and has a split in the back to show a layer of black chiffon with a ruffle along the bottom. It's cute and would be comfortable, except on me the sleeves are a bit too snug to wear.
Be Cool Plaid Top with Tied Waist - Retail Value $40
This top, unfortunately, also has potential but doesn't quite fit right. My chest makes this plaid button-down gap badly. Other than that, this was a good stylist pick - I like the colors and the style! (I find my chest is an issue with Golden Tote pretty often, and usually specifically request only items with knit or stretch materials for that reason.)
Casual Weekend Slub Jersey Dress - Retail Value $42
This dress was shorter than I expected it to be. Fortunately, it works just fine with leggings! It's made of a very stretchy, heathered knit fabric and has 3/4 length bell sleeves.
Paper Crane Front Tie Brushed Dress - Retail Value $40
This dress is definitely comfy! The fabric is soft and very stretchy and the sleeves are nice and long. It's also shorter than I'd like to wear without leggings, but I think it will get a lot of wear anyway because it feels like I'm wearing pajamas.
Knit Pocket Long Sleeve Dress - Estimated Value $40
This dress isn't on my packing sheet. The sheet actually lists a "Be Cool Striped Sweater" instead. I'm not sure if I was supposed to get a sweater or if that was a misprint. Either way, this dress is actually my favorite item in the box. The silhouette and color are both more flattering than the rest of my tote. The sleeves are long enough and it looks perfect with leggings, so this will get some good rotation in my wardrobe this season!
The Verdict: Golden Tote is one of my favorite subscriptions, but this month's tote wasn't one of my best. My main fit issues with Golden Tote are items that are when they are too short, or don't allow enough for room in the chest. I don't think 6' curvy girls are particularly a part of their target demographic, but I've subscribed long enough to know to consistently look at the hem length, inseam measurements, and material of the items I choose, and normally I also have a note to my stylist about these issues but this month I changed it. So, this month was a miss, but I have had several totes that knocked it out of the park, so I'm looking forward to future totes after adjusting my style profile again.
