Flair & Paper "Shades of Gratitude" November 2018 Review
Each box comes beautifully wrapped with a welcoming card introducing the theme for the box as well as an itemization to all the items we received. This month’s theme is Shade of Gratitude.
Here are the five Flair & Paper greeting cards we received this month!
It’s Not You. It’s Me. Just Kidding. It’s Totally You Greeting Card – Retail Value $4.00
Immediately we get some sass and I just love it! The colors in this card are so fall-y in mustard and wine.
As always, the card is blank on the inside for your perfect message or picture. It is paired with a reddish brown A-style envelope and measures at 5 ½ by 4 ½ inches.
You’re My Favorite Human Greeting Card – Retail Value $4.00
I love this card the most this month! It’s simple and so me; I tell my husband he is my favorite person all the time, so this is right up my alley. The whole card has my favorite styles: two fonts, sketch style font, and a teeny tiny heart.
The horizontal card measures at 4 ½ inches by 5 ½ inches and is paired with a reddish-brown A-style envelope.
Happy Birthday You Will Always Be Older Than Me Card – Estimated Value $4.00 (Based on all the cards in the Flair & Paper online store)
Flair & Paper always tries to include a birthday card in their monthly subscription. This one is really pretty with fall leaves around the borders. It’s also pretty funny with the snark below. There are multiple people I could send this card to that would make the recipient laugh.
This blank card is paired with the reddish-brown A-style envelope and measures 5 ½ inches by 4 ½. I was unable to find this exact card online.
Thankful for You Card – Estimated Value $4.00 (Based on all the cards in the Flair & Paper online store)
This card falls right into the Thanksgiving theme and is really pretty with the fall foliage all around the message.
I love the orange A-style envelope this card is paired with; it is so bright and pretty. The card measures at 4 ½ inches by 5 ½ inches. I was unable to find this exact card online.
There Is Always Something To Be Grateful For. Like Wine Card – Estimated Value $4.00 (Based on all the cards in the Flair & Paper online store)
This was my least favorite card in the bunch. While I liked the message, I don’t favor the font or the wheat-like design.
This card is paired with a yellow A-style envelope and measures at 5 ½ inches by 4 ½ inches. I was also unable to find this card in the online store.
Gather & Give Thanks Tea Towel
This was the first time I have received a tea towel in my Flair & Paper subscription, and though it goes with the theme, it doesn’t go with Flair & Paper. It is pretty and is made of a nice cloth, with the fall foliage design.
It's also pretty big. The image above is just folded out but it is still in half.
Wine Gift Tag
This was also a first for me in my Flair & Paper subscription. It’s a tag for a bottle of wine. You can use it to dress it up for your Thanksgiving feast in just a few weeks!
Mini Chalkboard
This was a cute little inclusion! It’s a tiny chalkboard! It has three little legs and stands like an easel. For scale, I put it beside my scissors. As you can see, it is pretty small. For its size, I wish we received at least two of them. Either way, this is a great decoration for the dessert table at Thanksgiving.
Liquid Chalk Pen
The last item we got was this liquid chalk pen, a great pair for our mini chalkboard!
I was a bit bummed, though, when I tested it out. It was so light! I figured I just got a dried out pen and started to wrap up the box and its contents.
Right as I was ready to put this guy away, I noticed the chalk darkened! Good to know it takes a couple of minutes to really show.
Calendar
Flair & Paper always includes a calendar for the current month on all their boxes.
Verdict: I was a little disappointed with my box this month. I wasn’t crazy over receiving a tea towel in a stationery subscription and felt like the wine bottle tag was meh. I would easily trade both for extra mini-chalkboards. I do always enjoy the cards that Flair & Paper delivers - they are always beautiful and make me smile.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, but if you sign up now you will receive the November box.
Coupon – Use code WELCOME to save 50% off your first box of a 3, 6, and 12-month subscription!
Value Breakdown: I received 9 items in this month’s box (not including the November calendar page). The items I did find in the store (greeting cards) totaled $20.00, right at subscription box cost. For $19.99 + free shipping, each of the items has an average cost of $2.22.
