Zoya Back To School review

About This Box

The Box: Zoya Back to School Limited Edition Box

The Cost: $69.95 + free shipping

The Products: The full-size fall collection, plus more goodies!

Zoya Back to School Limited Edition Box Review

We received a card detailing how Zoya got started!

We also received this info mag with that details the fall collection…

The winter collection…

And a list of the entire polish line created by Zoya!

Zoya Naked Base, Full-Size! Retail Value $12

I have heard a lot about the naked manicure system from Zoya, but this is the first time I have been able to try it! Since I have acrylics over my natural nails I couldn’t really test the base coat, but it is packed with proteins, amino acids, and vitamins to really nurture the nail.

Zoya Pink Perfecter, Full-Size! Retail Value $10

Think of the perfecter polishes as a BB cream for your nails! They’re very sheerly tinted, and they are designed to brighten your nails and give them a glow. I got SO many compliments when I was wearing this, and I really loved the natural but flawless look this gave my nails.

Zoya Naked Manicure Glossy Seal, Full-Size! Retail Value $12

This glossy seal lives up to its name for a high-shine finish,  but it is best used with the Naked Manicure line—I felt that it was too thin to hold up effortlessly finishing nail art.

Here I am wearing the pink perfecter and the glossy seal.

Zoya Element Sampler A

Zoya Element Sampler A – Retail Value $60

The Zoya collection is broken up into two samplers, A and B. This is sampler A, which contains, from left to right, Devin, Rumor, Jenna, Ruthie, Maryanne, and Kendra. You have the options of purchasing a sampler and receiving 6 polishes or buying each shade individually.

Zoya Nail Polish in Devin, Full-Size! Retail Value $10

Devin is described as a steel blue with multi-color shimmer and a foil finish. The multi-color shimmer didn’t want to come out to play once I swatched it, but the formula was smooth.

Zoya Nail Polish in Rumor,

Zoya Nail Polish in Rumor, Full-Size! Retail Value $10

Rumor is a mauve-taupe crème polish with a tiny touch of shimmer. The shimmer gives it an almost metallic finish, and I think this is actually a pretty unique addition to my nail polish collection.

Zoya Nail Polish in Jenna, Full-Size! Retail Value $10

Jenna is a blue-toned dusty pink rose that almost leans light purple. As I have come to expect from Zoya, this crème formula applied perfectly.

Zoya Nail Polish in Ruthie, Full-Size! Retail Value $10

Ruthie is a raspberry-rose crème polish. For me, I thought it swatched darker than it looked in the bottle, but I still love it.

Zoya Nail Polish in Maryanne,

Zoya Nail Polish in Maryanne, Full-Size! Retail Value $10

Maryanne is a pink-toned rose with "glowing shimmer," and while at first, that description made me shake my head I actually think it is accurate! It has an almost metallic sheen and the formula applied like a dream. This is one of my favorites in the collection.

Zoya Nail Polish in Kendra, Full-Size! Retail Value $10

Kendra is a marsala creme, and I definitely think this gorgeous deep berry was inspired by wine.

Zoya Element Sampler B

Zoya Element Sampler B – Retail Value $60

This is the second half of the collection. From left to right we have Alyssa, Donnie, Maeve, Rachael, Leighton, and Gardner.

Zoya Nail Polish in Alyssa,

Zoya Nail Polish in Alyssa, Full-Size! Retail Value $10

Alyssa is a red-toned purple cranberry, and honestly, that is just a fancy way of saying this is a deep red polish. This formula was a tiny bit patchy—I would do three thinner coats with this one.

Zoya Nail Polish in Donnie, Full-Size! Retail Value $10

Donnie is a purple-toned sangria, and I love this purple berry shade! It reminds me of holiday parties and cozy sweaters. The formula was a dream, too.

Zoya Nail Polish in Maeve,

Zoya Nail Polish in Maeve, Full-Size! Retail Value $10

Maeve is described as a concord grape, and I would definitely say the shade is dark like a true grape. I love that it is dark while still being a true purple shade.

Zoya Nail Polish in Rachael, Full-Size! Retail Value $10

Rachael is a mulberry berry crème, which is a mouthful of a description to say it's a red so deep it's almost black. This is a very vampy shade that will look black depending on the lighting.

Zoya Nail Polish in Leighton,

Zoya Nail Polish in Leighton, Full-Size! Retail Value $10

Leighton is a blackened aubergine that is so inky it looks black in almost every lighting—I am in love with it! This is such a perfect Halloween shade without being a true black polish. This definitely needs a top coat to maximize shine and prevent chipping- when I wore it without a top coat it didn't last a day before wear started to show.

Zoya Nail Polish in Gardner, Full-Size! Retail Value $10

Gardner is a deep periwinkle with a "vibrant" magenta shimmer. I didn't take that description seriously until I watched the polish shift from blue to purple when the light hit! This is another favorite out of the collection. Watch out, though - the shimmer in this polish sucks a lot of top coat, so you need a heavy duty one.

Here are the swatches! From left to right we have Devin, Rumor, Jenna, and Ruthie.

Here is Maryanne, Kendra, Alyssa, and Donnie.

Finally, we have Maeve, Rachael, Leighton, and Gardner.

I had so many different colors to play with for nail art, but since it is the start of October I thought I would try and get some Halloween vibes. I started with a base of Leighton, and then I used a makeup sponge to dab Gardner at the base of my nails. It took three coats of the Naked Glossy for everything to get smoothed out, but I have been chip free and glossy for the past few days!

Zoya Remove Plus Nail Polish Remover, 8 oz

Zoya Remove Plus Nail Polish Remover, 8 oz – Retail Value $9.99

I love this flip top lid! It is so easy to use - I just flip the lid open and pump down with my cotton ball, and voila, I have my nail polish remover! Considering how gentle this nail polish remover is, it is surprisingly effective.

Hydrate & Heal Dry Skin Kit

Hydrate & Heal Dry Skin Kit – Retail Value $23

I have chronic dry cuticles, and this set really gave me noticeable results after one use. The spray-on serum is packed with hyaluronic acids and antioxidants, and I love the convenience of being able to spray each hand and call it a day. Following with the cream provided even more rich hydration without making my hands greasy. This can be used anywhere on your body that has dry skin, but I am reserving this exclusively for my hands because I love the results!

The Perfect Lipstick in Layne, Full-Size! Retail Value $12

Layne is a dusty rose mauve lipstick that was super comfortable to wear! It is hydrating and has about a five hour wear time before it needs to be reapplied.

Hot Lips Glossy Lip Balm in Trendy,

Hot Lips Glossy Lip Balm in Trendy, Full-Size! Retail Value $6

This lip gloss is a shimmery pink with peach undertones, and while I love the color the formula is a bit sticky to wear.

Here is the lip gloss swatched above the lipstick.

Here is the Elements collection settling into their new home in my nail polish collection!

The Verdict: Wow! This set came jam-packed, but I loved every bit! For the cost of 7 polishes, I received the entire 12-piece fall collection, three polishes from the naked manicure line, nail polish remover, lipstick, lip gloss, and an amazing dry skin set. The formulas of Zoya nail polishes are outstanding, but I would use all polishes with a top coat to make them extra shiny and prevent chips. For $69.95 plus free shipping, this box has a total value of $204.99, and I am in love with it!

Hi Jessica,
Really liked your review and I agree, it’s such an amazing value – just curious, did you get some free gifts with your order as well? I got two sets of swatches, a 2 oz bottle of Remove+ AND 3 more polishes for free. Makes the deal even sweeter!

Hi Lia!
I did get some extra goodies, but I didn’t include those with the review as it is something Zoya offers to any purchase over x amount of dollars. You can see the baby remove plu in my group shot at the bottom of the post!
