Terra Bella September 2018 Review
The box includes a card that lists all of the products inside.
Honey Belle Loofah Soap in Green Tea Cucumber, 5 oz. – Retail Value $8.00
I love the refreshing smell of this glycerin soap! It really wakes you up, which is especially important to someone like me. (I am NOT a morning person!) Plus it feels great scrubbing my skin. Hooray for multitaskers like this sponge/soap!
Starboard Alchemy French Green Clay Mask, 4 oz. – Retail Value $22.00, Listed Value $14.00
The texture of this clay mask is SOOO luxuriously fine. All it takes is a bit of water to turn a small scoop of this powder into a paste that you can apply to your face. My skin dries out really easily, so I didn’t leave this mask on for too long, but even so, it left my skin feeling suuuper clean. It has a gentle physical exfoliating effect as you wash it off, too. I’ve heard of folks mixing clay masks like these with yogurt rather than plain water to provide a little extra nourishment to the skin… I might try that to avoid the dryness that so often comes along with getting my skin this squeaky clean.
Spinster Sisters Rose Body Oil, 2 oz. – Retail Value $19.00
Goodness gracious does this ever smell good! This rose body oil does a beautiful job of nourishing my hands, but I feel like its real purpose will be subbing in as a new perfume this winter. Rubbing the romantic rose fragrance into my post-shower skin not only helps it feel healthier in the dry, radiator-heated air of my apartment, but it makes me feel like an absolute queen. That rose scent is just so glamorous!
Okay Canary Grapefruit Bath Bomb, 4 oz. – Listed Value $7.00
Oddly enough, this bath bomb didn’t read “grapefruit” to me. Or to put it better, it didn’t have the candy quality that so many bath bombs have—just over the top fragrance. Instead, the smell struck me as a mild, crisp grapefruit aroma. It felt fresh, but not particularly fruity. If anything, I’d actually liken it to a dry rosé!
Verdict: I really enjoyed the fragrances in this month’s box! There was indulgent rose, light and refreshing green tea cucumber, and that crisp, yet still feminine grapefruit bath bomb. All of the products felt special, like something I’d see in a cute indie beauty boutique around town. And of course, I love learning about natural brands and products!
