Stitch Fix Plus Size Clothing Box Review – October 2018

Stitch Fix started offering a styling service for plus sizes, and I couldn’t be happier. I signed up on the very first day, of course!

Stitch Fix is a monthly clothing and styling subscription service. When you sign up you take a pretty in-depth survey about your sizes, your style, and pricing preferences. After choosing when youíd like to receive your delivery, your stylist handpicks 5 items based on your preferences. The fee for this service is $20, and that includes free shipping and free returns. And if you keep any of the items they send you, you get to deduct the $20 fee from the total. (If you keep all five items, you also get a 25% discount!)

My items are reflective of my style and price preferences, so your Stitch Fix may be completely different!

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Stitch Fix Plus Size Clothing October 2018 Review

This is the invoice that was included in my package. It lists out the items I received and the cost to keep each. I think a 25% discount for keeping everything is pretty generous!

This really fun sheet of cards was also included. It has a note from my stylist in the upper left corner. I really appreciate the personalization that goes into her selections! All the other cards are styling ideas for the items in my box. How clever!

Kacey Bootie by Violet & Red

Kacey Bootie by Violet & Red – Cost to Keep $99

Look at these gorgeous boots! I love almost all laser cut footwear. Plus the dark olive color is amazing, and so on trend for this season. Unfortunately, Stitch Fix does not carry wide or narrow sizes, so these would not fit my wide feet.

Karie Split Neck Blouse by 41 Hawthorn – Cost to Keep $58

This is an awesome color for fall! It’s a lightweight chiffon blouse with 3/4 tabbed sleeves and a split neckline. I think it looks good and is perfect for the season.

Harmon Tie Waist Wide Leg Pants by Karl Lagerfeld Paris – Cost to Keep $98

THESE ARE KARL LAGERFELD, Y’ALL. Pretty much the last thing I expected to see when I opened up my Stitch Fix this month was a piece from KARL LAGERFELD PARIS. I am so beyond pleasantly surprised! The price is really reasonable for these, too. They are polyester with absolutely gorgeous machine lace at the cuffs. I really love the way they fit, and of course, they feel really well made and super luxe. I love these! I am keeping them!

Amely Split Neck Top by Daniel Rainn

Amely Split Neck Top by Daniel Rainn – Cost to Keep $68

This was my husband’s favorite piece in the box this month, and I like it a lot too! It’s a nice lightweight crisp cotton blend, and the black and white print makes it so that it can be worn with more formal or super casual looks. It feels really nice, and I think the cut is good for me, too.

Andres Tie Sleeve Knit Top by Papermoon

Andres Tie Sleeve Knit Top by Papermoon – Cost to Keep $48

I love this top too! Of course purple is my favorite color, so I always have a strong affinity for anything purple, but this top has a lot more than just the purple going for it. I love the tie sleeves, they are super stylish! It is also a polyester knit, so it has a nice bit of stretch and also hangs well. I think the cut is flattering also. It’s just an all-around win!

The Verdict: I am a big fan of Stitch Fix! Aside from the shoes, this month’s box was a grand slam! And I cannot believe the KARL LAGERFELD. That’s nuts! I am enjoying my subscription to Stitch Fix so far, and I think their prices are among the most reasonable. I can’t wait for my next Fix!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Stitch Fix curates its boxes based on each individual’s preferences as well as what’s available. What you get might not be the same as what I got, but you also might get something that fits your style and body even better than the looks above! Sign up and see what they choose for you!

Value Breakdown: This box cost $20 with free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the items inside is $371. The cost of each item is listed alongside it above, but if I choose to keep at least 5 items, I get a 25% discount. The $20.00 cost of the box would also be applied to the purchase, meaning I’d end up spending $258.25 for the whole box. Ultimately, that’s a savings of about 30%. The average cost per piece in this box is $74.20.

  1. The outfits are a home run!!!

  2. Definitely like those pants. Very cute and easily a closet staple.

    • Thanks Ks!

  3. Great box Anna! Those pants are just gah! Can I ask how tall you are? I want to ask my stylist about sending them my way but I am short so I’m not sure they would work for me.

    • Thanks Shelly! I am 5’3”.

      • Me too!! I’m pretty sure you and I could raid each other’s closets.

  4. Super hate to be a downer, Anna, especially if you love the pants, but for some reason the idea of Karl Lagerfield doing plus size set off alarm bells in my head. He’s had some really horrendous things to say about plus size women over the years, and obviously I understand why he’s getting into the plus size market ($$$), but it seems disingenuous. I don’t think posting a link is allowed (?) but googling “karl lagerfield plus size comments” gave me enough information to think twice about supporting his line.
