September 2018 LiveGlam MorpheMe "We Love You Very Matcha" Review

I'm excited to see 5 shiny gold brushes this month. All of these brushes are from the Gold Series and have synthetic bristles. Let’s see what I got:

The theme this month is “We Love You Very Matcha” and has five brushes to help your makeup application look “tea-rrific”.

You can go to your account dashboard to rate the brushes you receive and collect reward points. You can also trade in one or all of your brushes (find out more here).

There’s also a 10% coupon code for MorpheMe subscribers.

The info card comes with a photo and short description of how you can use each brush. Many brushes can be used for many different things, so you can make them work best for you.

It’s good to note that you can check their blog for a video rundown of the brushes and how to use them as well.

Y11 - Deluxe Pointed Contour - Retail Value $8

The soft bristles on this brush come to a narrow point and are perfect for applying and blending contour powder with a light hand. I like this better than the stiff, flat contour brushes because it blends everything out without moving around my foundation. It’s also good for setting the undereye area.

Y18 - Tapered Blending Fluff - Retail Value $6

This brush is kind of a hybrid blending and crease brush. It picks up a lot of product but is still fluffy enough to create a soft blend. It also works to pat shadow onto the lid for more impact. It’s always good to have multiple fluffy blenders around to use for different shadow shades.

Y22 - Detailed Bullet Crease

Y22 - Detailed Bullet Crease - Retail Value $5

This is another essential brush that I need for my eyes. The tiny rounded dome of the bristles is meant to pack color into the outer “V” of your crease. I also like to use it to blend shadow and liner along to bottom lash for a softer effect.

Y21 - Flat Definer - Retail Value $4

This flat, stiff brush is perfect for pressing shadow and liner into the lashline. I like to do this when I don’t want a liner look but still want some definition around my eyes. I have several angled brushes like this so I’m happy to see a flat version. I’d love to see a brush like this but smaller too.

Y13 - Pro Highlight Fan - Retail Value $8

This fan brush has the perfect amount of bristles so that it picks up enough product and applies with a soft, diffused look. A lot of fan brushes are either wimpy or just too dense and big for the highlight effect I like. I also use a clean one to dust away fall out from darker shadows.

Verdict: MorpheMe Monthly Brush Club sent five brushes this month that have a total retail value of $31.00. I love the gold handles and softness of the bristles. I got a few new types of brushes to add to my collection and it’s always good to have backups of other favorites.
