Ipsy Glam Bag Plus October 2018 SPOILERS!

The palette is beautiful, btw. I received my box today. In fact, I think that’s the only thing I’ll keep – everything else, including the bag, will go up for swap. I think several of the colors I’ll apply wet as eyeliner on a more muted eyeshadow background.

The bag is very nice, actually, it’s just that I have so many makeup bags that I doubt I’ll ever have a need for this specific one. But seriously, based on the quality of the materials and the workmanship it say the value is upwards of $20.

I just knew there’d be problems with this upgraded box. They billed me 26.40, took way too long to get my bag reveal. After being told by IpsyCare that my payment was received & to sit tight and check back in a few days, I check back and now it says I’m not getting this bag. I was on the breaking point of cancelling before they rolled this out. Now I’m done for sure.

So I am paying $25 per month for Glam Bag Plus? So it is like Boxycharm? And we get a Glam Bag quarterly?

I have to make a serious decision regarding which one I stay with.

Why does this strike me as Ipsy making a Plus option to get rid of the stuff they can’t sell? This is stuff they constantly give in sample sizes in regular glam bags, and it’s far from what was advertised. A glitter palette, really? That’s great for anyone under 35. I suspected Ipsy was going to have a hard time with personalization, with only 8 products, I can’t imagine why? 😒 So glad I went with my gut and decided to wait several months to see how they do. The last thing I need is another full size Eyeko and a crappy Morphe highlighter.

Well I’m still Not even on the waiting list for the Glam Plus. I’ve been a ipsy subscriber for 3 years non stop and still haven’t been chosen for the plus box even though ipsy keeps saying that they want all of their loyal ipsy subscribers to receive the plus box first.

Sunday Riley and Sol de Janeiro should start a box together. They would make a killing! Personally, I hope that I never hear the words “bum bum cream” or “Sunday Riley” ever again. Ever.*

For something I anticipated so much, I’m extremely underwhelmed… I just got the same morphe highlighter in my $10 bag last month, the spray is not exciting, the balm to oil is just meh… the mascara and purlisse face mask are the only 2 things I am excited to try… switched up my preferences for hopes of November being better… I am so confused on how they curate to your reviews, yes, I said I liked this highlighter, that doesn’t mean I want another one 1 month later 🤦🏻‍♀️ Highlighter lasts forever .. especially full size. I feel like they need to adjust their quiz, and include some kind of frequency of use questions 🤷🏻‍♀️

This looks like a Boxycharm copycat, and I just canceled Boxycharm. No NOMO here…

I’m beyond disappointed. These have 2 products made in china, and calling it high end, no way! I want my money back and no bag. So underwhelming.

I would have loved the Purlisse mask, If someobody wants to trade or sell theirs let me know.

Has anyone else noticed the $5 they added to the shopper account for getting plus this month? They automatically apply it at checkout and I got the Glam Glow plumper lippie and paid about $3 for it after discounts.

Spoilers are up, looks like only 8 products are sampled this month.
I do feel that this is a little underwhelming for the hype, especially compared to the September box that influensters got. I’ll give it another month and decide whether to keep it.

Well I am getting everything that is spoiled here except tge lippie. They gave me tge Purlisse Blue Lotus Mud Mask + exfoliant instead and I am sooooo happy with that!! I can use that palette for the fall and I love the spray too! The only thing I can do without is the Eyeko but I will gift it in a stocking for xmas! Ty Ipsy!

I got the LXMI balm, Purlisse Mask, Tarte mascara, smashbox palette, morphe highlighter & eyeko liner. Not Happy i got the morphe again since I got it in September bag. Very happy I’m getting 6 items!

im seriously getting that eyeliner morphe highlighter and some weird oil…I’m Writing Ipsy demanding a refund and telling them not to even bother shipping it to me….This is joke.

My bag reveal is up. I’m actually liking it better than I thought. I’ll stick with it – its the first month. I think they are trying 🙂

I really hate Ipsy right now. Not even 1 item from the PR box. This is all makeup!!!! Only that doggone oil to cream is for skincare. They did not think of the people who pay for these bags. I’m selling all of these products except the mascara. I’m gonna give them another month or 2 and that’s it!!!!

My reveal shows no lip balm by pop sugar but a mud mask from purlisse. I’m excited for this bag, and hope the palette comes for Halloween!

So bummed out!! Im getting this variation but instead of the lip product I’m getting the Lxmi balm to oil. NORMALLY I’d be happy to receive a bag full of full sized makeup – BUT what’s really frustrating about Ipsy is that they didnt even look at my beauty profile AT ALL. My profile is focused on SKINCARE and LIPSTICK. I dont want eyeshadow palettes, blushes, eyeliners or mascaras because I already have a box full of those and surprise surprise – thats what I’m getting. I thought that they’d at least do a good job curating this since this is their 1st glam bag plus. Im definitelly cancelling and switching back to the regular bag.

There’s now a BUTTON for me to get the next regular Glam Bag instead of this laughable Glam Bag Plus.

I’ve never hit a button so fast in my LIFE. Of the products listed here, I got what everyone else got other than Pur-lisse and any Ciate spray, thank goodness.

I got the LXMI Pure Nilotica Melt Nourishing Balm-to-Oil in a tube and I LOVE this product for winter dry skin.
Since I’m old enough to be the mother or grandmother to most of you, it will be perfect for my skin.

I intensely dislike the Eyeko, the Smashbox glitter bomb palette, the Ciate highlighter, and the mascara.

So, my soft and supple skin will also be enjoying a Popsugar Lip Tint and that’s all I plan to ever use out of this very poorly curated group of products.

AND- I wish with all my heart that I’d gotten the regular sample bag. Yeah, we were duped as far as the skincare put into the Glam Bag Plus goes, as my Glam Bags are almost always skin care with maybe one eye shadow, one nail polish, or one lip product. They are always FULL SIZED too.
Now, to make sure Ipsy doesn’t send me products I HATE in any other bags in the future. I paid my dues this month and then some.

I am obviously in the minority here, but I actually think this is a lot better than the box sent to influencers. I have at least three Tarte blushes, and in much better shades than the one they sent. The Morphe eyeshadow palette had horrible colors that wouldn’t go with my skin tone, I hate the Buxom mascara (received multiple deluxe samples of it from Ulta), and I would never use fragranced skincare.

Plus this one is six items, not five.

I just wish there was some actual personalization, but then I don’t remember now (or most likely I missed it) if they ever promised that for the Glam Bag Plus.

I’ll give it till the end of the year, see how it goes, and then decide if I still want to subscribe.

Sooo I was told the 14th I was supposed to be getting Ipsy plus which never happened, and now they rolled out a new feature for regular subscribers, which I also don’t get? I wanna cry I feel so excluded. 😭

Balm to Oil, Morphe, Eyeliner, Eyeshadow, Mascara & Lipstick… This doesn’t look like MUCH OF A VARIATION… We’re all getting the same things… And I had mascara and eyeliner unchecked…

I’m getting this bag except for the Ciate dewy spray, which makes me sad because I really wanted to try that item.
