Graze is a mini-snack subscription box that sends a customized selection of treats weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.

Graze offers over 100 different snacks that you can rate online, which, over time, helps tailor your subscription to your particular snacking preferences. Some subscribers spend time choosing preferences, noting which options they want to try, think they would like, or “trash” and prefer not to receive. Each Graze box may look completely different!

For subscribers with food sensitivities, it’s easy to “trash” snacks that contain gluten, dairy, or any other specific ingredient; however, Graze snacks are produced in a facility with nuts, wheat, milk, and many other foods that might not make this subscription a good fit for anyone with severe food allergies.

Boxes are shipped via USPS and are conveniently designed to fit in most standard mailboxes.

Graze October 2018 - Pamphlet Front

Graze October 2018 - Nutritional And Ingredient Information

They have included a pamphlet which includes nutritional and ingredient information for all of the snacks. There are also details about their School of Farming, which is based in Uganda and helps teach locals farming skills.

Graze October 2018 - Original Protein Flapjack Pack

I feel a little strange having such strong feelings for what is essentially an oatmeal bar, but this flapjack was crazy good! I’m obsessed!! It was texturally surprising too - I wasn’t expected the crunch of those “soy protein crispies” but they really liven up this morning treat.

Graze October 2018 - Jalapeno Cheese Taco Pack

Jalapeno Cheese Taco

The cheese and spice here is a great blend and reminded me of taco-flavored Combos. I have to admit, I found the chickpeas a little dry and underwhelming but enjoyed the chili fava beans and cashews. Sometimes jalapeno spice can be too strong for me but this snack was spicier than burny (as my grandma would say).

Graze October 2018 - Cinnamon Banana Energizer Pack

Usually, dried fruit is my nemesis - I’m always on the hunt for granola without it! Admittedly, I might not be the best audience for this snack and I left most of the raisins behind after trying a few. The caramelized honey and cinnamon almonds hit the spot and I have yet to meet a pecan I don’t love and this was no exception.

Graze October 2018 - Apple and Cinnamon Flapjack Pack

Apple and Cinnamon Flapjack - Buy a 6-count for $8.99

Apparently, flapjacks are going to be my new favorite snack.  I loved these apple and cinnamon ones, a lovely fall flavor combination. The dehydrated apple was the perfect level of sweet and went well with the soft buttery oats.

Graze October 2018 - Snickerdoodle Dip and Cinnamon Pretzel Sticks Pack

Graze October 2018 - Snickerdoodle Dip and Cinnamon Pretzel Sticks Open

Snickerdoodle Dip and Cinnamon Pretzel Sticks – Buy a pack of 6 for $8.99

This box fell heavily into the savory spectrum and I was very glad to get a sweet treat in the mix as well. The snickerdoodle dip is a creamy cookie butter and the cinnamon in the pretzels kept everything from being too sugary. I would absolutely order these on their own!

Graze October 2018 - Sweet Rhubarb Jam Pack

Sweet Rhubarb Jam – Buy a pack of 6 for $8.99

This snack may make me revise my stance against dried fruit after all because I really liked it!  Rhubarb pie is my favorite pie and it was nice to try it dried, which I’ve never seen before. The tartness of the rhubarb and cranberry balanced out the sweet dried apples. This was very good on its own and I bet would mix in well with a bowl of oatmeal too.

Graze October 2018 - Sweet and Spicy Beet Crunch Pack

Sweet and Spicy Beet Crunch – Buy a pack of 6 for $8.99

I genuinely love beets and think there’s no greater soup than borscht. But, for me, these beets were a little chewy and I don’t think pair well with the extra crunchy chickpeas. At least this is a snack I’d be willing to share, keeping all the others for myself.

Graze October 2018 - Super Kale and Edamame Pack

Graze October 2018 - Super Kale and Edamame Open

Super Kale and Edamame - Buy a 6-count for $8.99

The lime juice in these crispy kale chips is their secret superpower! It keeps the cashew butter from overwhelming the delicately dried kale. The seasoning really sings for this one.

Verdict: I was genuinely impressed with the quality of snacks in this Graze box. I do wish the individual containers could be resealed in case you don't want to eat everything at once. A box is $13.99 so with 8 snacks that is $1.75 per snack, which I think is a solid value for the quality of ingredients and the variety of flavors. There was only out of eight snacks that I wouldn't happily munch on again. It might cost a bit more than a mid-afternoon trip to the office vending machine but it’s certainly healthier!

To Wrap Up:
