Busy Bee "Kraft Time" October 2018
Each month you get a card that introduces the theme. October’s Busy Bee theme is "Kraft Time"! This month’s card also appears to feature vendors that Busy Bee uses. I am really excited to present the items in this month’s box, so prepare for lots of awesomeness!
Gold Plated Desktop Stapler – Retail Value $15.00 (Found for $10.49 here!)
The first item I received is this super-awesome golden stapler by American Crafts.
It is small and sturdy and so reflective! This stapler can sit on your desk and double as a mirror to check your lipstick (or your teeth) after lunch.
It opens as a traditional stapler does. It didn’t come with any staples, but that’s okay!
The bottom also has a grip so it won't easily fall off your desk should you bump it by mistake. I really like this item. I am getting my home office together, so it is the perfect addition! Yaaay!
Label Sticker Roll – Retail Value $5.00 (Found here for $2.50!)
The next item I received in this month’s box are these label stickers.
Now, I have never seen these before, but they are definitely so cool and perfect for those who mail a lot of cards. There are 30 labels in this roll.
Self-Inking Hello Stamp – Retail Value $8.00 (Found here for $4.80)
Busy Bee also included a stamp in the October box.
It is a circular, self-inking stamp with a teal handle.
It stamps out "hello" in a message bubble in black ink. It's super cute! While I don’t have a need for it now, I will find a purpose for it, so I am keeping it in my craft corner.
TUL Mixed Metal Elements Dots Gel Pens – Retail Value $7.99
You guys, these pens are AWESOME! I got four 0.7 mm pens with different colored polka-dot barrels: pink, purple, blue and yellow.
They write in black ink that literally just glided from the pen onto the paper. I love these pens. They are just fantastic!
Notebooks with Pockets and Inserts – Retail Value $4.00 (Found here for $3.69)
The next item I got in this month’s box was a pair of notebooks. The notebooks are a stylish brown, one in a wood pattern and the other with a leather look with gold accents.
Now, this did throw me off a bit. Each notebook has 4 pockets that contained a separate page for notes.
The leather design with gold accents had striped pages in the pockets of the notebook, with just one per pocket page.
And the wood-patterned notebook had grid pages in its folder pockets
In between the pockets are white, blank pages for notes or sketches. But the downside? There are only 10 white pages. These notebooks aren’t made to hold too much.
Letterpress Gold Ink Pad – Retail Value $4.00 (Found here for $3.20)
The final item in this Busy Bee October box is this gorgeous gold ink pad.
It really is very gold! I don’t have stamps but will go get some just so I can utilize this ink pad.
Verdict: Busy Bee Stationery hasn't really impressed me since the first one I reviewed in July, but this month was different. I let out ooohs and ahhhs as I opened it up and pretty much swooned over every item. I am really happy Busy Bee upped their game this month. This is the kind of box that will make (and keep!) subscribers like me happy. Also, the box’s value exceeded the cost of the box at $43.99.
