YumeTwins August 2018 Review

YumeTwins August 2018 Pamphlet front

You’ll receive a booklet with information on each item, contests, and kawaii culture – and don’t worry, this information is also available online! The theme for the month is “Dreamland,” and I can’t wait to see how the theme plays out.

YumeTwins August 2018 Cord keeper pkg

Sleepy Pokémon Cable Protector

Sometimes box items answer a question before I’ve even asked it. When I opened this little guy, I realized that this is the perfect thing to attach to the phone charger’s cord - it’s always falling through the cord void in my desktop! I received an Espeon, which is a psychic, cat-like creature with psychic abilities - so badass!

YumeTwins August 2018 Pillow cover

Mini Cooling Pillow Cover

Readers, I am always hot. No, no, I mean I’m always sweaty and miserable, haha! This cooling cover is so perfect for me and my one-hundred-degree existence. It’s listed as being mini-sized, but this thing fit my regular sleeping pillow, no problem! Ever since I started using it, it has changed my nap game so hard.

Kawaii Sanrio Notebook

To fit the theme, this notebook is meant to serve as a dream journal, which is an awesome idea. I’ve written down my dreams on and off over the years, so I might pick up the practice again with the help of this booklet. They all feature Sanrio characters, and the one I received is extra snuggly-looking, don’t you think?

YumeTwins August 2018 Plushie

Relaxing Puffy Kawaii Plushie

Yes! A cute little plushie to cuddle with! I received the raccoon in my box, I believe, and I think it has such a cute face. I love the little noise it makes when I squeeze its tummy. It’s intended to be a snore but to me, sounds almost like a cute li’l sneeze.

YumeTwins August 2018 Cloth

Sumikko Gurashi Wash Towel

I have a confession to make: I am not always awesome at washing my face before bed! I don’t wear makeup every day and luckily, I have pretty good skin, so I don’t always remember to wash up before my head hits the pillow. I received the blue version of this cloth, starring Sumi-ssie, I believe! It’s super-cute and having it on-hand will certainly remind me to take a moment before bed to wash up.

YumeTwins August 2018 Bookmark

Kawaii Animal Bookmark

This is the cutest! I’m sure I’ve mentioned before how much I love pandas, and this is such an adorable design. I love that there are some sticky notes added to this nice and lightweight bookmark so that if anything needs to be written down, I’ll have something to take notes on right at hand!

Verdict: I thought this box delivered on both cuteness and a nicely-executed theme! I liked that the box wasn’t full of the expected items that you’d associate with sleeping or dreams, but rather, ones that had unexpected connections, like using the notebook as a dream journal, or the pillow cover - I would’ve never predicted that would be in the box! I’ll definitely get solid use out of the washcloth, and the cord keeper was really an unexpected delight. I think it’s cool that even when I see the theme for a month, there’s still always a surprise or two.

I was wondering if that cooling pillowcase would work when I saw the spoiler. I’m glad it does.

Really cute items but why the letters on the notebook are printed all backwards?! It looks a lot like the image (both covers, front and back) was flipped along with the text. Must be a manufacturer’s defect …

Sharp eyes, Juliya! Thank you for pointing that out. I must have accidentally flipped the images when I was editing them. The notebook was definitely printed correctly!
