Play! By Sephora September 2018 FULL Spoilers for All Box Variations!

I finally got my box yesterday (outside of the week sephora says it should arrive to me), and I got box #c. I finally pulled the trigger and cancelled sephora after almost 2 years of it. Just tired of it.

Ugh, I got truly the worst box for what I’m interested in (Box C). Literally any other box would have been better – I don’t wear eyeliner or non-waterproof mascara, the Too Faced primer is TINY, and the the Belif Aqua Balm is just a foil packet. No lip product or perfume even though I said I liked those products? Does Sephora even pay attention to the quiz you take? And I really wanted to try the Tidal Creme and/or the Boscia moisturizer. Glad I got the Ole Henrikson, but that’s the only thing I’m excited about. This was my first box, and I think it’s going to be my last one.

A bit disappointed with this month’s box… The cactus cream seems a bit sticky to me… tried the ptr mask last night and it broke me out….. I guess im gonna cancel…

I received box C. After November (bday month yay!) I’m done.

I got box E. I usually receive at least 1 or 2 items I really like, if not more. But this month was a total bust for me. 😡

Oh Sephora….I was hoping with each passing month that the next month would be better. But then you took away our cute re-usable tie pouches to give us a plastic ziploc baggie? I didn’t want to but that was the last straw…..I had to cancel 🙁 I decided I would rather use my $11.98 on 2 Happy Hour Margaritas instead.

This bag was awful. The foundation is too dark, am not a fan of the plastic bag. It looks like a decorated ziplock baggy. This was the final straw. Too many repeats and the samples seem to be getting smaller. The plastic bag, did it, I have canceled my Sephora. Not worth even $10 anymore.

If we sign up now, will we still qualify to get the September box? I’m new to this. Any information will help. Thanks.

I got box I. How are people finding out their numbers? Is it in my profile somewhere?

Ugh I always get the crappiest boxes…I wanted the truth serum or belif moisturizer….instead I get ANOTHER lip product in the same boring colors that I always get…the Tom Ford perfume which smells horrible on me…and the cactus moisturizer that I already have…. I think it’s time I change up my profile to something COMPLETELY OPPOSITE

I got box C and this was not at all what I thought I was getting based on item #… what a blah boring box… this might be the biggest disappointment ever for me in Play… and I would have thought the cloth bags were more eco friendly as my kids repurposed them constantly!!!!

I had the shade IQ foundation finder service in-store at Sephora, and it was stored in my beauty profile. Ever since then, they have been perfect at matching my Play! foundation samples to my skin tone. Its worth a shot if you have a store nearby with access to that free service.

I also really, really loved that Chloe Nomad perfume sample in Box J! This was a good month for me.

I got E even though the email indicated I was supposed to get something else. I’m pleasantly surprised. I’ve been wanting to try the Marc Jacobs creme lipstick and that’s what I got. It’s a gorgeous deep rich pink. I also got the truth serum, which I use daily and since I’m going away for the weekend I can take the sample I received in the box.

To remove a reusable fabric bag and replace it with more trash hardly seems eco friendly! I’ve only been a member for a few months and feel like the value just fell a notch.

I had I. The plastic bag it came in was worthless. The foundation was way too dark and the lip pencil was a no. The rest was fine enough.

i had one of the boxes where my account said one thing but i received something else, so while bummed about not getting tidal, i kind of like that there are fewer products/variations between the boxes this month. there’s usually only 2 or 3 items i’d be excited to get, and i have a better chance at getting them when there’s only 10 items instead of 50.

Anyone else get double of two of your samples? I received two hangover primers and two belief moisturizers. Plus everything else I was suppose to get. Not complaining but was curious if this happened to anyone else.

I got box #I and I love everything in it! Best month ever!!

I got box A and while I was really happy with it my lipstick was all in the cap. Sad about that but not really as I like to carry my lipstick in my pocket and don’t like crayons as a rule.

The Peter Thomas Roth in box K is the mask not the moisturizer. I’m very happy with it!

Mine is 699 and according to my email from Sephora last night and this post my box is B. Tracking shows delivery for Saturday. I always get my box late.

They did a horrible job with sending out foundation shades. I’m fair and received tan, so what was the point of sending it to me.. And it was the only thing in the box that was new to me so its disappointing.
