Naturally Vain Bath Bomb Club August 2018 Review

This box did not arrive with an info sheet. I was really missing that description of the scents of the bath bombs, especially since these are all box exclusives. Luckily, next month, Naturally Vain will be including an info sheet in every box!

Purple Crown Bath Bomb

This lavender colored friend got a bit beat up during international transit, even though it was packaged with bubble wrap and package pellets. Since I also had a second bath bomb a little beat up, I reached out to Naturally Vain the next morning. They seriously responded within minutes and gave me the option of having replacement bath bombs mailed to me, or a $15 CAD gift card to their website. I loved having the option to choose, and I went with the gift card so I could pick out my replacement bombs. I chose this cute star and this Halloween friend! I did have to pay the international shipping out of pocket, but I was fine with that because I chose the gift card rather than having bombs mailed to me. I was so impressed with how quickly they responded and their solution to the issue. As for this bath bomb, once it was dumped into my bathtub you couldn't tell it wasn't a perfect sphere. I found the scent to be sweet in an almost candy-esque way, and it was deliciously fizzy.

Mother Planet Bath Bomb

This was the second bath bomb that arrived pretty beat up—but how gorgeous are those blue and green swirls! This had a zesty earthy scent that I found to be really refreshing, and the bath art this thing created was just beautiful.

Alien Abduction Bath Bomb

I wouldn’t oppose to being abducted by aliens if the spaceship smelled like this. This is a fruity bath bomb with notes of coconut, strawberry, and honeydew. Query: Why is honeydew such an under-appreciated fruit?

The Great Outdoors Bath Bomb

This bath bomb has a floral scent thanks to the blend of jasmine and lilac, which is rounded out perfectly thanks to the warm amber.

Naturally Vain owl

Owl Bath Bomb

Look at my cute owl friend! He is so adorable I don’t want to dissolve him in water, but when I do I will be greeted with one of my favorite bath bomb scents—citrus! This little guy is scented with a combination of lemon and orange, and l love how zesty and refreshing the fragrance is. This would be a great morning bath bomb on a weekend (if you haven’t started your day out with a bath, you’re missing out. They’re not only for nighttime!).

Sweet Campfire Bath Bomb

This bath bomb had a sweet scent that was a little smoky and a little spicy, which I found to be perfect for a campfire bath bomb. I added this to my bathtub when the water was still running, and this actually created some fun bubbles, too!

Verdict: I am a bit in love with Naturally Vain! All of the bath bombs are hefty and solid in size, and they create beautiful bath art while smelling great. Most of the bath bombs on the Naturally Vain site sell for between $5-$6, and I think that is an amazing price for the quality of bath bombs received. That, coupled with the amazing customer service, really makes this box a winner. I know that MSA readers had been interested in a more affordable bath box compared to the others currently being reviewed, and I think this one fits the bill perfectly!

To Wrap Up:

Can you get this box if you still sign up today? I don’t think so, but you can sign up for the September box here!

Value Breakdown: This box costs $35 CAD ($30 + $5 shipping), and when you check out you check out at the current exchange rate. That means this box cost about $26.60, bringing the price per bath bomb to $4.43. That is such an amazing deal for the quality of the bath bombs, and that $10 off coupon makes the value even better!

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.

I’m going to get this box. The staff seems very considerate and nice about the lumps and bumps encountered from Canada to the S.E. US.

The fact that you got your box swiftly is amazing to me.
The price is also very good!!

Hint- I have a huge sunken bubbling soaking tub. I whomp all my huge bath bombs on the marble floor before I unwrap the plastic, then just use about 1/2 per bath, if that much. In so doing, I get all the scent, all the softly colored water, but have half the bath bomb left for the next bath. i put the half in a zip lock bag.

So, if they sent me a crumbled bath bomb, I’d be happy, not upset or complaining at all. 🙂

The Mother Planet bath art actually looks like the earth! The blue/green swirls with the white breaking through. I totally understand why they named it that.

That owl though! That’s the cutest bath bomb I’ve ever seen!

I’d love if you’d take pictures of all the bath art created using these, but not sure you’d fit all those baths in every month. Great reviews!

Hi Christine!
I definitely can fit all of the baths in a month, but it would be hard to fit them all in within a reasonable turnaround time for the review. I will definitely try to squeeze more in next month!

The box looks great and I’m definitely ordering from them. I don’t get why you’d need replacement for something that functions fine as is, especially given that the box was provided for free for review. I’m probably in the minority in that opinion.

Whether it’s paid for or not I would still expect the products to arrive in the condition they are supposed to be in. I wouldn’t buy crushed up bath bombs in person! I appreciate that Jessica reached out to the company as it showed the high standard of customer service they have, adding even more value to the review.

Hi Anna!
That’s a typo on my part. MSA paid for this box and this is how Naturally Vain takes care of their paying subscribers.
Thanks for pointing out the typo! I’ll get that changed.
