We have the full spoilers for the September 2018 Emma & Chloe box!

Now through 9/26, use coupon code SESTRA to get your first Emma & Chloe box for $1 when you sign up for a 3-month plan!

The featured designer this month is Sestra:

Behind Sestra hides two passionate sisters, one passionate about gemology, the other by leather goods. Together, they bring to life an atypical universe, born from the meeting between two worlds ...
Inspired by tribal cultures as well as art deco architecture and passing by the Parisian cross street, the two young women create strong pieces in a style both modern and original that boldly adorn the women's wardrobe.
Sestra is a colorful world that celebrates life! A feminine, poetic and modern universe that echoes the woman of today.
SESTRA creations are unique pieces that are handcrafted and revisit the classics. They are refined, elegant and brighten up everyday life.
More from Emma & Chloe:

1 / Who is behind the Sestra brand?

Clotilde and Charlotte, two passionate Parisian sisters aged 30 and 31, with different but complementary backgrounds. One is a stylist, the other has a  business background.

2 / How was Sestra born, what was the trigger?

"If you can dream it, you can do it": it's the motto that sums up our decision. Sestra is a story of adventures between two sisters. Clotilde is the artist and Charlotte is the business woman, she is the one who negotiates in the souks. 😉
Charlotte is passionate about gemology and Clotilde is more enthusiastic about leather goods. Together they decided to combine two worlds that did not have much in common and launched the first jewelry pouch. That's how SESTRA was born.

3 / How was your passion for jewelry born?

From our mother, who from a very young age prompted our curiosity by taking us to Drouault to discover jewels of all eras and all horizons exposed before they were on sale. With Charlotte we would looks at these jewels with great wonder...
Our passion for jewelry also came from our grandmother who traveled to the four corners of the world and would bring back colorful jewelry and shells ...

Just got mine & I have mixed feelings. The stone is very pretty, but the open ended ring and the metal used feel very cheap. The hair mask was a very nice surprise though.

Jody

Is that really the same ring in both photos?

Elodie

Hi Jody! Yes it is, the color will change depending on the light and reflection, especially when it is photographed! The stone on this ring is a Jade stone, I hope this helps 🙂

Hmmm. I just cancelled my sub so this is the first month I’m missing out on and I can’t tell if I’m sad or not. In general I like it but it’s hard to tell what it really looks like. The first picture looks more rounded with marbling but the second picture looks monochromatic and faceted. I’m confused. LOL. Guess I’ll wait and see…

that’s because they are different stones. emma & chloe often has stone variations in addition to being able to choose silver/gold preference.
