VineOh! “Oh! For Me!” Fall Box Review
The branding and packaging are great! I feel like this box was designed to be gifted, and it doesn’t disappoint.
The “Oh!” envelope contains info cards for each of the products included in the box.
The first card is a summary card that displays all of the items as well as their retail price. The theme this time is “Oh! For Me!”
Now onto the items – starting with the wines!
The wines included in the box are custom made for Vine Oh! and if you like a bottle and want more, you can buy them at the Vine Oh! shop.
You have the option of selecting your wine preference – Reds, Whites, Both, and Sweet. I selected the “Both” Option and received a bottle of Riesling and a bottle of Zinfandel.
2016 Mad Love California Zinfandel – Retail Value $25.99 (found here for $15.00)
Mad Love Zinfandel is our rare find that we want to share with you. With aromas of cherry cola, blackberry, baking spice, and cocoa and flavors of raspberry jam, chocolate cake, black tea, this medium bodied wine has a delicious balanced finish. It's our Mad Love!
This red smelled absolutely delicious and I thought that it was on the sweet side for a Zinfandel which I prefer. It was very drinkable and tasty, with the raspberry flavors shining the most. I also loved the naming and the label, this is a great bottle to take to an engagement party or another type of "love" event!
2016 New Crush Santa Ynez Valley Riesling – Retail Value $22.99
New Crush Santa Ynez Valley Riesling delivers a superb balance of ripeness and sweet flavors with aromas of Jasmine, white pepper, lemon zest, dried apricot and a touch of wintergreen notes creating a sweet, delicious finish.
I love white wines, and this was a sweet treat! I typically go for Pinot Grigios but do like a Riesling or Moscato now and again. This was a beautiful, clear white where the apricot was the star. The label was also adorable featuring a heart made out of two fingerprints. This, like the Mad Crush, would be a great bottle to take to a "love" event – perhaps a summer picnic with your partner, or a bridal shower!
Now on to the lifestyle items!
Mixture Sugar Balm Scrub (6 oz.) – Listed Value $36.00
This balm scrub brightens and invocates dry, dull skin. Made with sugar and a nourishing blend of oils and natural herb extracts, your skin will feel refreshed and moisturized after just one use. Perfect for an at-home spa treat!
Absolutely NO: Parabens, sulfates, phthalates
While I couldn’t find this product online, I did notice that the packaging lists this as a sea salt scrub, while it’s called a sugar balm. The ingredients listed are sugar, shea butter, cocoa seed butter, avocado oil, and rosemary extract.
Even with that discrepancy, I didn’t care (I’m fine with either salt or sugar scrubs!) and I absolutely loved this light, fresh scent. It reminded me a bit of vanilla, but is listed as “bamboo”, so who knows. The bottom line, it left my skin feeling exfoliated and fresh and was quite lovely. Trapp Candles 50-Hour Poured Candle in Orange Vanilla (7 oz.) – Retail Value $29
This soy-wax blend candle is the perfect combination of crisp orange notes elevated by the exquisite addition of Tahitian vanilla and should burn for around 50 hours. It was beautifully packaged in a sturdy box, making it completely giftable and gives it a special touch. I love this bright orange color, the tangy, cream-sickle smell and plan to burn it to the last drop! The card also includes a special offer code for subscribers.
A Day in the Life Planner – Listed Value $12
This custom planner was designed exclusively for this box by The Paper Shelf. Personally, I love this type of planner view. I’m not consistent in writing down weekly plans (I only do it when there is a lot going on, or something out of the ordinary) – so I love that there aren’t dates on it and I can use it when I need it – like when I’m traveling for work and need to leave my husband reminders for my toddler son (e.g. Wednesday is water day at daycare!). I think this is a totally handy item to have on my desk, and I know it’ll get used up!
Brownlow Gifts Insulated Drink Sleeve – Listed Value $6
This floral print neoprene sleeve features a simple inspiration “Be Happy” and will fit most standard bottles and cans. It measures around 4” x 5” in size, and folds flat for easy storage. This is perfect to keep your drink cold and your hands warm on a brisk fall day! The card also includes a special offer code for subscribers.
Dutch House Caramels – Retail Value $4.99, Listed Value $10
YASSSSSSSSSSSS. Seriously, this is the most delicious caramel that I have ever tasted – and the perfect “2 bite” size. It’s creamy, soft, and the right amount of chewy (meaning lasts in a satisfying way, but doesn’t annoyingly get stuck in your teeth). I couldn’t resist having 2 of these while writing this review. (OK, this paragraph!)
These caramels are super rich and made with sea salt. They're naturally gluten-free and are made in a gluten-free and peanut-free kitchen. The card also includes a special offer code for subscribers. I will certainly be using mine! Did I mention these are FANTASTIC?
The Verdict: This is my second box from VineOh! and like the first, it was a great mix of delicious wine and fantastic lifestyle items. I love that the curation is quarterly, so if you’re only able to get a few boxes a year, this is a great one to put on your short list to investigate! I hope they keep up this momentum!
This 59.99 box advertises a value of at least $120, and when I calculate a mix of retail and listed prices, I come up with $136.97 (even with the sale price of the red wine, the value is still delivered!)
