The BAM! Horror Box June 2018 Review

This month items from Killer Klowns from Outerspace, Scream, Tales from the Cryptkeeper, and Elvira: Mistress of the Dark!

This sheet gives info on this month’s box and also regarding the BAM! Community where you can trade items, enter contests, get the latest BAM! news, and meet fellow horror fiends and Bammers alike! The form also suggests looking in email and the site for info for the July box!

BAM! Box Exclusive Shorty from Killer Klowns from Outer Space Fan Art Pins by Artist C.O.D — Retail Value Unavailable

My brother and I grew up with this movie; we watched it all the time! I want to say it was aired on Rhonda Shear’s Up All Night on USA or HBO, but I could be mistaken! Either way, my little brother was especially obsessed with this movie and went as a three-headed clown one year for Halloween! I sent him a pic of this awesome pin as soon as I unboxed this month’s BAM! Horror Box! The pin comes in three variants. I received Shorty, which is the wider released of the pins.

BAM! Box Exclusive Elvira Limited Edition Card — Retail Value Unavailable

ELVIRA IS MY QUEEN! There, I said it! I got to meet Cassandra Peterson aka Elvira last year and she was just as gorgeous and beautiful as could be expected! I was delighted to see an Elvira item in this month’s box and truly hope to see more! This card comes in its own protective case that maintains the integrity of the card but also provides a neat way to display the piece. Also, BAM! has a giveaway open for a signed Elvira Funko! Oh, heck yes!

One-of-a-Kind Tales from the Cryptkeeper Animation Pencil Sketch

One-of-a-Kind Tales from the Cryptkeeper Animation Pencil Sketch — Retail Value Unavailable

Holy smokes, this is a neat-o piece for sure! I used to sneak around to watch Tales from the Crypt on HBO as a kiddo but never watched the animated show version. In the 90s there was a big trend to take adult-themed movies and tv shows and essentially Disney-fy them for children viewership (think of Beetlejuice for instance, though I am rather familiar with that original movie and the cartoon). Regardless, I love this collectible piece. It is unique and one of a kind. Now, I want to find this cartoon version online and watch it ASAP!

BAM! Box Matthew Lillard Scream Signing — Retail Value Unavailable

I was in high school when Scream came out and I remember being utterly obsessed. It was a self-aware horror movie that gave homage to so many teen slasher films directed by the king of them, Wes Craven! He revitalized the entire genre with this movie! Plus, my gosh, this pic is signed by one of the original Ghostface Killers: Matthew Lillard! What more do you want?

BAM! Box Exclusive “Legends” Fan Art Collection Art Print by artist, Ken Haeser (Number 3 of 3)

BAM! Box Exclusive “Legends” Fan Art Collection Art Print by artist, Ken Haeser (Number 3 of 3) — Retail Value Unavailable

The final piece to complete the “Legends” fan art collection has arrived! This time it includes Freddy, Jigsaw, Hellraiser’s Pinhead, and Alien to name a few! What an impressive collection featuring the who’s who of horror!

Verdict: This month’s BAM! Horror Box was off the chain! This may be one of my favorites to date because it included franchises and figures in horror that I grew up loving as a kid in the 80s and a teen in the 90s. This box left me feeling nostalgic and pleased. It is hard to select a favorite item since I actually liked each of them, but I will say the Elvira card and the Killer Klowns from Outerspace enamel pin were my two favorite pieces! This box leaves me eager and excited to see what in the July box!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the August box. From Bam!:

Your box will ship on the 28th of every month. Please order by 5 pm on the 17th to get the current box.

Value Breakdown: This box cost me $26.99 + $7.99 shipping, which means that each of the 5 items in the box has an average cost of $7.

That looks more like the monster pumpkin head rather than the xenomorphs from aliens.
