LiveGlam MorpheMe August 2018 Review
A card about LiveGlam’s new bi-monthly club is included. It’s an eyeshadow subscription that sends you a new palette every other month. Check out our reviews here!
The theme this month is “Bad & Boozy” and has three brushes to help your makeup application look “grape”.
You can go to your account dashboard to rate the brushes you receive and collect reward points. You can also trade in one or all of your brushes (find out more here).
There’s also a 10% coupon code for MorpheMe subscribers.
The info card comes with a photo and a short description of how you can use each brush. Many brushes can be used for many different things, so you can make them work best for you.
It’s good to note that you can check their blog for a video rundown of the brushes and how to use them as well.
This month, the brushes are a shiny, gunmetal gray with black and white bristles. All of the brushes this month have synthetic bristles.
G6 Flat Buffer – Retail Value $14
I like the compact size of this buffer brush. It works well to get into all of the small spaces of the face with detail. The bristles are densely packed and feel velvety. Here, I’ve used it to apply a pressed powder foundation (full-coverage), but it works well with my liquid foundation too. I think it’s particularly good at blending out around my hairline so foundation and bronzer look more natural.
G8 Tapered Powder/Blush - Retail Value $15
This soft, tapered brush is a perfect multi-use tool. It’s great for setting under the eyes or the whole face. It’s also great to have on hand for blending out contour or any product that may have gone on a little strong. The site also says it can be used for blush, and it certainly can, I just prefer a less dense blush brush.
G17 Round Blender - Retail Value $7
I’m so happy this fluffy eyeshadow brush is included this month. Last month, a more flat, compact eyeshadow brush was included that worked for packing on shadow. This one’s dense but flexible bristles are really good at blending and diffusing any harsh lines and building up the crease. My old blender is looking a little scraggly, so this one has a prime spot.
Verdict: MorpheMe Monthly Brush Club sent three brushes this month for $19.99 that have a total retail value of $36.00. I’m really happy to have the fluffy eyeshadow brush that is large enough to blend over my whole lid quickly. Even though there was a foundation and powder brush included last month, this month’s brushes differ enough to be good additions and not feel repetitive.
