BuddhiBox Jewelry August 2018 Review

An information card is included in each package detailing its contents. The front offers a motivational phrase that's the perfect size to tack onto the corner of your mirror as a daily reminder, and the back provides context around the symbolism and healing values of each item.

BuddhiBox mala beads

Though listed together on the info card, the jewelry in this month's box arrived in two separate pouches. The first I'll explore is this canvas pouch, which held the mala necklace that's usually included.

108 Aqua Terra Quartz Mala — Listed Value $80.00

I'm beginning to grow a collection of mala beads from my Jewelry BuddhiBox subscription, and I swear each one is more beautiful than the next. This quarter's offering is strung with the most beautiful blue beads that are touched with earthy ivory and pink tones, decorated with a quartz crystal, and finished off with a mauve tassel. The aqua terra stone is said to help find inner peace, clarity, and connection, which is feeling very fitting for me in my final month of pregnancy. I'm wearing it doubled up in the photo above because it sort of rolled to the side of my belly when fully extended, but I may just hold it in my hands or keep it nearby when labor comes!

The matching bracelet, another bracelet, and a bonus stone came in this second pouch.

bracelets from BuddhiBox

Aqua Terra Om Bracelet — Listed Value $24

Handmade Pride Raw Brass Cuff — Listed Value $26

I love the aqua terra bracelet's small om charm. The beads are strung on elastic so it can fit just about any wrist size. I think it looks beautiful stacked alongside the brass cuff bracelet that was included.

BuddhiBox jewelry

I also love how these bracelets look with my engagement & wedding rings! The beaded one brings out a blue-ish tone in my engagement ring's Alexandrite stone, and the cuff's geometric shape mirrors the angle in my wedding ring. So cool!

BuddhiBox stone

Bonus Stone — Estimated Value $10

The stone isn't listed on the card, but it almost looks like it could be an aqua terra stone! It's small and smooth, and very intricate in its design. Nature is amazing!

metallic scarf from BuddhiBox

burgundy scarf

Handmade Pride Net Layer Handloom Scarf — Listed Value $25.00

This berry-colored scarf was made in India by fair-trade artisans. This is a color that some associate with fall, but I wear year-round! If you look closely at the photos, you can see that its sections alternate solid blocks and those touched with metallic silver threads.

palo santao from BuddhiBox

Palo Santo — Listed Price $4.00

A bundle of sage or a stick of palo santo is often included in BuddhiBox Jewelry boxes, and I love having them replenished with each box I receive. The earthy scent of palo santo is one of my favorites!

Verdict: I'm in love with the jewelry in this quarter's BuddhiBox Jewelry box. The meaning behind the stones used for the mala necklace and coordinating bracelet came at a perfect time in my life, and the supporting items are lovely accessories that I can't wait to include in my rotation. Using the list prices provided, I added the contents up to $169. That's an amazingly good value for a $49.95 box.

Hi there, I'm Christen. I am all sorts of things:

🌳 a writer who loves to convey feeling

🌲 a mother who wants to have just as much fun as my kids do

🌳 an outdoors-lover who's achieved #1000hoursoutside with my family

🌲 a low-maintenance self-carer

🌳 a general hungry person with an unstoppable sweet tooth

You'll find me collecting stationery and squirreling away stickers, riding bikes and swimming with my family, creating outfits in colors and silhouettes that make me feel amazing, wearing big earrings, drinking beer and asking my husband to feed me harmonies to sing, taking my vitamins, living for dancing to live music, roping everyone into a craft, being human and vulnerable, and celebrating the phenomenon of being alive.

...and doing it all with energy, delight, and jokes along the way.
