Pet Treater Cat Pack June 2018 Review

There’s not a traditional information card with this subscription, but you get a couple of other inserts including a humorous sticker.

Pet Greens Medley Pet Grass Self-Grow Kit – Retail Value $4.99

Mr. Kitty and Monkey really like cat grass so I do usually have some around. I have some growing right now so I haven’t started this one yet, but I have had this exact item before and it has worked well for me. Just poke some holes in the bottom and add some water and leave it alone (well, add more water if it completely dries). I strongly suggest putting it on a shallow dish because water leaks out the drainage holes. Also, rinse the dish off every day because otherwise really stinky stagnant water collects there.

Toy Shoppe Playables Tropical Bird

Toy Shoppe Playables Tropical Bird – Estimated Value $3.99

I often can’t find items from this brand for sale online. But my cats do like them. There were some tail “feathers” on this toy that several cats found interesting, and just overall, the collection of textures was quite popular. This is a lightweight catnip toy that is a good size for tossing around.

My Little Lion Totally Tuna Recipe (2.65 oz) – Retail Value $4.99

I don’t know what it is about these treats, but they are some of my cats’ favorite treats. I think they are undergoing a packaging change because these are out of stock in a lot of places, but my kitties just love them. If I needed to buy cat treats (with all these cat subscription boxes, I usually don’t need to), this is the type of treat I would go for. These are semi-moist and not too stinky.

Billy Cat Supply Heart Wand – Retail Value $9.99

Wand toys are great, usually Sneaky and Angus go for them (don’t tell them they like the same kinds of toys because they hate each other) and that was true here, as well. This one has held up to some rough play so far. This is only available from third-party sellers on Amazon. This is probably a good time to mention that Pet Treater (both dog and cat versions) does send a lot of closeouts and overstock.

Here are your cat pictures:

Angus likes these treats.

Once again, Angus will only play with a wand toy on the stairs. I don’t know why he does this.

Extreme close-ups.

Madison actually did like this toy but the camera kept going off like a second AFTER he chewed on the tail.

Monkey pretends to like the treats. He was working on a big hairball when I took these photos and wasn’t eating much. I have since cleaned said hairball off the kitchen rug and he is back to eating again.

Monkey is always up for sniffing and rubbing his chin on toys.

Sneaky is also a fan of these treats.

And I got her to bite the wand!

Mr. Kitty was chewing on this toy. You can see his tongue in the second picture. (He is still in the e-collar most of the time but I let him out when he is supervised.)

Verdict: I calculated a value of $23.96 for the June 2018 Pet Treater Cat Pack (I only had to estimate one value). This was a good month for us as the toys were popular, the cat grass will get used, and the treats are my cats’ favorite type.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you’d receive July's package as your first shipment.

LIMITED TIME DEAL: For a limited time, use coupon code YESMEOWto get your first Pet Treater Cat Pack for only $5!

Value Breakdown: At $12.99 per month for this subscription, you are paying approximately the following per item:

  • Cat grass: $2.71
  • Bird toy: $2.16
  • Treats: $2.71
  • Wand: $5.42

I’m not sure what it is about those tuna treats, but none of my cats would touch them. First time I’ve seen a unanimous “NO!” from them on the treats from this box. They loved the toys though, although i received different toys than shown here.

Mine too(I have a couple Bengal rescues that I got when they were about 1yr ea), will not even acknowledge they are food at all and will not even sniff them. So strange. They love the freeze dried treats though and I buy Halo Chicken bites cans 6 at a time from Chewy. You have pretty kitties

Ragan

Those are my cats’ favorite treats of all time.

I only get the unanimous “no” for whole freeze-dried fish. And most of the cats don’t really care for most other freeze-dried meat, either.
