Julep Maven is a monthly nail polish and beauty subscription box. They make all their own products, so subscribers get a good value each month – over $40 retail worth of product for $24.99 a month.

And, if you sign up for 3-months up front, you get the $19.99 rate.

Each month Julep releases a new collection on the 20th, and you can decide which items you want, you can upgrade to the entire collection, or you can skip that month.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

Julep Nail Polish in Ebony – Retail Value $14

Julep calls this a “Graphite Holographic,” I call it a magical galaxy!

(Two coats for full coverage, swatched in lower photo.)

Here it is on:

Can you see the sparkles?

Here it is in motion:

I’m in love!

Julep Don’t Leave Your Brows at Home in Cool Brown – Retail Value $24

This tool has a brush on one end and the brow powder on the other:

Love the pigment and the easy-to-use design. Plus, I’m used to getting brow products that aren’t a perfect match for me in subscription boxes, so it was great to pick my shade for this one!

Here it is swatched:

Julep Hydrating Body Cleansing Oil – Retail Value $38

This is my favorite new Julep discovery in months!

It’s a light oil that turns into a lather when applied to wet skin. And the best part? The fabulous citrus scent! It also didn’t strip my skin and dry it out. I love it!

Verdict: This is one of my favorite Julep boxes of all time. Love the beauty products and I LOVE my nail polish choice! I highly recommend this subscription if you love nail polish and/or you like having control over your beauty box items! (And I also recommend doing the 3-month subscription at $19.99 a month for better savings!)

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. You have to sign up by the 20th to get the next month’s box. Then on the 24th, you’ll be able to sign into your Julep Maven account and select the items you want for your box!

Coupon: Use this link and coupon code POLISHGIFT at checkout to get a FREE 12 piece nail polish set as your first box when you sign up for a subscription!

  1. LOVE LOVE LOVE Julep! Haven’t been disappointed by a single one of their products, they have exceptional deals all the time and their sub box is the model every other sub box should aspire to!

  2. I have subscribed to Julep since almost the beginning. They are such a great company. I love the facial cleansing oil, removes all my make up. The shower oil did not disappoint. ❤️

  3. I cancelled a month ago because I felt swamped by polish but I miss it and this makes me want to go back. What to do what to do.

    • I skip a LOT of months. Been a maven for about 2 years and have maybe gotten a quarter of the boxes

  4. I chose the same nail polish color as you did, Liz, and now that I’ve seen it on you, I can’t wait to get painting!! It’s a little bold for my usual (some would say boring ; )) color choices, but I’m really glad I took a chance and went outside my comfort zone!

    • It sounds like you are describing my exact nail polish tastes – I typically go for a neutral or pink nail color, but this galaxy polish just called to me! 🙂 Hope you love it even more once you see it in person!

  5. I tried the cleansing oil and agree that it is fantastic!

  6. Julep Don’t Leave Your Brows at Home is one of my favorite Julep items – it lasts all day and looks very natural, i hope they keep this product and dont discontinue it

  7. I love the polish! I think I found a new box to try. Thanks LIz.

    • Glad to hear you love it too 🙂 Julep is one of my long-time favorite beauty boxes 🙂

    • It’s a great box. You can completely customize it every month or skip. You can do it all online.

    • It’s one of the best polish brands out there. Their makeup is very high quality (although I am not fond of their rather bland lip colors), and I LOVE this Body Cleansing Oil (it was discontinued for a while, and I am ecstatic that it’s back). I’d also suggest that you get a three-month subscription from the start…as you won’t regret it (you can customize everything). I almost forgot to mention their best-in-show customer service.
