Facetory SEVEN LUX July 2018 Review
This month's box came with a 'how to' card to show you exactly how you should be using each mask, in general. As always, there is a monthly information card that outlines each mask from the box! There is a little description so you know exactly how to use each mask. The card does a great job in listing out key ingredients and benefits. This is super helpful!
Yahdah Soothing Jelly Pack Mask - Retail Value $3.99
I have tried this brand in the past, just in the moisturizing version, and loved it! This mask is perfect for summer because it focuses on soothing irritated skin, especially any irritations from the sun. I am outside a lot with my son so I can always use that extra boost of hydration. I decided to use this after an afternoon at the pool and was left with an extreme hydration that made me feel as though I was glowing! This mask is made with aloe barbadensis leaf extract which contains anti-inflammatory ingredients to help soothe and hydrate!
Medius Cream Mask Gold Sericin - Listed Value $4, Retail Value $2.62
This mask is unique in that it doesn't have that jelly like feel to it, it really is enriched with a cream so it feels slightly heavier. My skin is naturally very dry, but the summer heat and extra sunscreen really do a number on my face. I was very happy to see a mask this month that is about, and only about, hydrating! The main ingredients include sericin, limnanthes alba seed oil, and hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid. These ingredients are rich in amino acids, support collagen production, and focuses on retaining water so that your skin remains plump. I used this mask before bed and rubbed in all of the excess cream before going to sleep. I woke to an extreme hydration that left me feeling as though I didn't even need makeup. I am going to be buying more of these to have on hand all year round!
Oerbeua Firming Mask - Listed Value $3.00
I read that this mask is all about firming your skin so I decided to use this in the morning before applying my makeup. I was left with a tightness that left my skin looking extra smooth! I did have some redness but it went away quickly, and I noticed that my makeup went on easily without any creases. This mask is made of cauliflower extract which helps to promote collagen production, which is most likely why my skin felt so plump and smooth. Another ingredient is glycerin which draws water from the air into the skin's outer layer to prevent moisture loss. Amazing!
Dr. Lola London Shopper Mask - Buy a pack of 5 for $20 (found on sale here for $10)
The packaging on this mask is so cute and got my attention right away. Then I got a good chuckle after seeing the "wrinkle iron" at the bottom, this one must smooth out all of those unwanted wrinkles! This mask has two main ingredients, pearl extract, and milk protein extract. The pearl extract helps to repair any damage to your skin while promoting increased elasticity. If you have dry skin like myself, the milk protein is going to work hydrate, nourish, and lock-in moisture. This was another mask that was great to use after a day at the pool, my skin felt hydrated, plump, and oh so smooth.
Berrisom Soda Bubble Mask Aqua Fruit Mask - Retail Value $3.99
If you follow my reviews then you know how much I love a bubble mask! I have received quite a few of these in the last few months and I still can't get enough of them. This mask is all about cleansing your skin while giant bubbles foam instantly when applying the mask, so be sure to only leave this one on for about 5 to 10 minutes. This month's bubble mask is unique though because it smells extra fruity and is made with lots of yummy fruit extract including peach and grape. Grape extract is rich in vitamin E to help exfoliate your skin while still allowing it to retain its natural moisture. The peach extract is another antioxidant that helps to prevent aging long-term, while the Centella Asiatica extract fights any inflammation in the skin. I used this mask after spending the day at the zoo and my skin could not have felt more fresh and clean afterward!
Wonjin Effect 3 Step Amino Up Mask - Retail Value $3.20
Multi-step masks are the best because it feels like a little spa treatment at home. I started with the lifting eye gel which contains niacinamide to work on improving fine lines and uneven skin tones. Next, I applied the amino up toner over my entire face. This contains leucine to regenerate aging and sagging skin. My final step was to use the mask! It focuses on brightening your skin with mushroom extract and alanine. This 3-step mask was so refreshing to use! I instantly felt relaxed while my skin looked like it went through a crash spa treatment to help improve my dull skin. This was a wonderful mask to use before bed because I woke to a fresh face!
Entia No Filter Moisturizing Camera Mask - Listed Value $4.50
I've used this brand before and absolutely loved it! This is another multi-step mask, starting with the vitamin c powder that is at the top of the package. I applied the powder to my face after washing it, so it was still wet, which allows the powder to quickly turn into a liquid that you just rub all over your face. Next, it was time to apply my mask! The main ingredients here are allantoin which is an active moisturizing ingredient, Kakadu plum extract which is a natural acne fighter, and sodium hyaluronate another moisturizing ingredient that reduces blemishes and helps aging skin. I didn't notice anything outstanding after using this mask, but I did have a wonderful smooth feeling along with a healthy glow.
Verdict: Facetory is just what I need each month to keep my skin feeling fresh! Each month seems to focus on the season we are in, which I always appreciate it. So this month was all about that extra hydration, soothing, and preventing aging skin which is so important after a summer in the sun. I was excited to see two multi-step masks this month as well because they are basically a spa day at home (said a busy mom that doesn't have time to go to the spa anymore). Overall, the curation is really where I see the value month to month because after so many months of receiving this box, I have never received a duplicate! I can't wait to see what the August box brings as we head into the end of summer.
