Fabletics is a monthly fitness apparel subscription co-founded by Kate Hudson. Recently, Fabletics introduced a plus size line of their fashionable workout gear! You can shop their line in two different ways—either you can shop through their regular store or sign up as a VIP member. The VIP Membership works like this:

  • Take the Fabletics quiz, which will let the company know your size, style, and fitness needs.
  • Each month, Fabletics will curate looks that match your preferences. According to the website, outfits start at $19.00 for new members. (I'm not sure if "new members" refers to just your first order, though.)
  • Shop those looks at 40-50% off what you'd get just paying retail, or skip the month. You have to make your decision by the 5th of the month. If you do neither, the $49.95 monthly membership fee will be saved to your account as a credit, which you can put towards other outfits later.
  • As you shop, you'll also earn points that can be applied to accessories and other cool fitness essentials.

Unlike a lot of other subscription boxes, you are not automatically sent a package each month. You have to go into your account and either decide to add items to your card or skip it. Subscriptions can be canceled at any time, though you do have to call into Fabletics customer service to do it.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

About Fabletics

The Subscription Box: Fabletics VIP Membership

The Cost: $49.95 a month. This price goes towards the cost of the outfits curated for you. The cost of outfits varies, but you'll only be charged for what you choose to actually buy. If you want, you can choose to skip the month, and you won't be charged. If you don't spend your $49.95 nor choose to skip, Fabletics will charge you the $49.95 and just save it as store credit for you to use later.

The Products: High-quality, on-trend athletic clothing curated to fit your size, style, and needs. Think leggings, tops, shorts, and outerwear for yoga, running, and all kinds of other workouts. Fabletics is targeted towards women, primarily, but they do offer workout clothes for men, too!

Ships to: Free shipping to the contiguous United States when you spend $49.95 or more. $4.95 flat rate shipping if you spend less than that threshold. $9.00 to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and APO addresses. $5.95 VIP rate to Australia, or $9.95 otherwise.

Fabletics Plus Clothing June 2018 Review

This month’s Fabletics package did not include the standard invoice it generally does. It also didn’t include any coupons or ads this month either, so we will just get to the nitty-gritty of the review!

Rae High Support Sports Bra in Viridian  Size 3x

Rae High Support Sports Bra in Viridian, Size 3x—Retail Value $59.95, VIP Price $39.95, VIP Sale Price $27.67

So, last month’s Fabletics review was rather polarizing due to the sports bra. You either loved it or absolutely hated it. Regardless, I loved it and enjoy reviewing sports bras for you guys to help give you a feel of different fits and styles. I opted to get a matching solid outfit this month as well. I love turquoise and teals, so I couldn’t resist this one. I know a lot of people felt that last month’s selection seemed less modest and didn’t provide enough support. If you had issue with last month’s sports bras for those reasons, you will have even more issues with the Rae Sports Bra. I love the actual bra style hook clasps, but I truly felt like I could flop out of this one at any minute. Especially on the sides; I might pop out and hit myself or an innocent bystander on the treadmill in this number! Whoops! I would certainly wear this with a tank or t-shirt over top for my own comfort and security.

High-Waisted Solid Powerhold 7/8 Leggings in Viridian, Size 3x—Retail Value $69.95, VIP Price $44.95, VIP Sale Price $32.38

These leggings came along bundled with the Rae Sports bra for the Joni Outfit at a further discounted rate. The gorgeously vibrant leggings’ material has ample stretch and is rather opaque. You can see the outline of my tag, but not due to the fabric being transparent. I love the high waist on these and the fact that I can mix and match these with other tops sports bras and t-shirts I own. Plus, I can certainly see wearing these on casual off days doing errands along with working out at the gym.

Salar Solid Powerform Capri in Black, Size 3x—Retail Value $54.95, VIP Price $39.95

At the time that I ordered this month’s selections, Fabletics was having a 50% off entire order deal for Memorial Day! I almost missed it, but fortunately, they extended it a few days and I was able to partake in the sale! Due to this, I opted to get these plain black leggings as well as my outfit. Too good of a deal to pass up, am I right? Plus, I truly believe you can’t have enough pairs of black leggings. I actually wore a pair from my September 2017 Fabletics review recently on a five-hour flight—talk about flying in style and comfort! These black leggings offer tons of stretch and opacity like the other pair in my June order. The high waist ensures you will be able to take on any task or yoga pose without worrying about pulling up your pants. $39.95 is a great price, but 50% off of that for a versatile, practical, well-made pair of leggings is an even better deal! I will sing the praise of Fabletics leggings on any mountain, any day of the week!

Verdict: This month’s selections were cute and simple pieces that I will get a lot of wear from! Both of the pairs of leggings are amazing, but I sense if I try to hit up the elliptical in that sports bra my cups will runneth over and spill out! I love that Fabletics offer so many plus size options, but I truly hope they keep expanding the line. There are so many straight size items I am coveting from the site; fingers crossed eventually all the pieces will be available in the full-size ranges. Bodacious babes want high quality work out gear too! Other than that, I will always suggest Fabletics to my friends, family, random people in grocery lines, etc. because their stylish pieces are high quality and a great value at their price points. Plus, they have sales frequently enough you can get killer deals!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? The sports bra and pants are still on the site but in limited sizes. Sign up here to nab this entire look!

Coupon -For a limited time, new VIP members can use this link to get 2 pairs of leggings for $24 (a $99 value)

Value Breakdown: These three pieces cost $54.89 + free shipping. The original, non-VIP price is $184.85, meaning I got an outfit and an extra pair of leggings for 70% off! Holy smokes!

Nicole, you need a smaller size in the bra!! It would be super cute with the underarm snugged a little to perk you up! Love that color on your skin 🙂

Awe thanks, Kendra, but if I get a smaller bra I think I will pop out even more tbh! My right side was hanging out in that 3x more than I would have liked!

Kendra I agree with you. Nicole, do you have a way of tightening the straps? Perhaps lifting them will help out? I am fairly large chested (36D/DD) (I wear medium bottoms, so fairly top heavy!) so I understand the need for a great sports bra. So many cute strappy ones that are only good for non-cardio, lifting days 🙂 🙂 I also love the color on you! I have the same exact pants you got this month, and I get everything in black!

Thanks, Pollyanna! Sadly, they don’t have adjustable straps. If I get a smaller size the side of my chest will REALLY be hanging out, I sense. But it would be nice if it were adjustable in the straps!

Yes, the leggings are so great. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

Erin

I have a flight to Seattle from southern California tomorrow, and your review reminded me that Fabletics leggings + swing dresses make the best airplane outfits!

Also for some reason I thought the tag outline was your phone and I was trying to figure out why your phone was down the back of your pants (without judgment of course)!

Erin, yes! That is perfect gear to fly in! I wore a cute striped swing dress on my way out! So comfy! But those leggings on my flight home were the real MVP!

And that is too funny! Hahaha. Of anything I would try hiding it in my bra tbh. Hahaha

The bra seems to not anticipate that in plus sizes, you might have a fuller chest. I hate that. I mean, I would buy a 3x bra expecting full coverage, not this side boob that this one gives you. Especially with it being a sports bra. You look beautiful, of course but it seems like this is made for fake boobs, the kind that don’t squish or move much.

I was thinking the same thing. It seems they just take their straight sizes and add inches, vs actually fitting the style on real plus size bodies before producing it. That said, the color is so, so good!

Thanks, AmyM! I agree, they may need to work on the design for plus on these styles a bit more to perfect them. And yes, the color is awesome!
