Enjoy Flowers June 2018 Review

Enjoy Flowers Signature Bouquet

I love keeping fresh flower arrangements in my home and enjoy arranging fresh cut stems. The Signature Bouquet from Enjoy Flowers is not vase-ready but don't worry, it's pretty easy to create your own arrangement if you follow a few easy steps. Follow along and I'll show you how I made the arrangement above!

Flower Care Instructions

Inside the lid of the box were instructions on how to care for fresh cut flowers. The instructions recommend adding cold water to a vase with the included flower food. Prep your flowers by removing leaves and cutting stems at a 45-degree angle. Replenish your vase with fresh water once or twice weekly and keep your arrangement in a cool place away from direct sunlight.

Packaged bouquet

My bouquet arrived neatly wrapped in plastic, kraft paper, and flower-printed paper secured with ribbon and a branded sticker.

close up of flowers

Here's a closer look at the blooms inside the packaging.

ends of stems wrapped in wet floral foam

The ends of the flower stems were wrapped in a small plastic bag with wet floral foam inside. The foam was a little messy out of the bag and clung to the stems, so I recommend rinsing the ends of the stems to remove the foam crumbles.

flower food instructions

FloraLife Flower Food Packet

My flower delivery included a packet of flower food to help extend the life of my arrangement.

adding flower food to water

I selected a tall off-white vase for my arrangement to let the colors in the flowers pop. I added clean cool water and mixed in the flower food. I reused the pretty paper wrapping to protect my surface and catch any water drips and cuttings.

measuring vase

Next, I measured the vase so I could gauge the best length at which to cut my flowers. My vase measures around 9 inches tall. Because a lot of blooms in my delivery are large and I've chosen a tall vase, I decided to cut my stems around 15" with some taller for a varied arrangement.

measuring rose to cut

I prepped the included roses by removing any leaves that would be under the water in the vase and carefully peeling off the guard petals. I cut my roses at 15".

hydrangea flower measured to cut

I followed the same process for the hydrangea blooms (except for removing guard petals, of course).

lily measured to cut

My bouquet also included two calla lilies which I cut at a longer length to add varied height.

measuring eucalyptus to cut

I thought it might be fun to have the eucalyptus stems poking out higher than the rest of the flowers so I cut them at 18".

measuring filler flower to cut

I cut the deep red leafed filler stems (I think they're red photinia) at about 16" along with the remaining filler flowers and greenery.

adding flowers to vase

Arranging flowers is all about trying different combinations and seeing what works. It's always a good idea to cut your flowers longer than shorter so you have room to adjust and also to trim and refresh the stems to keep your arrangement fresher longer.

Overhead view of flower arrangement

Here's a look at all angles of my finished bouquet. I'm not sure how I feel about the tall eucalyptus, but I can always trim that a little to bring the height down closer to the rest of the flowers. The pink and purple hues of this bouquet are so pretty and the unique mix of filler flowers makes for a fancy and full look.

Verdict: This was my first flower delivery from Enjoy Flowers and I was very impressed with the packaging and quality of flowers. At $50.00 ($42.50 with a 12-month plan) these flowers are more than you would spend at the grocery store but likely less than you would at your local florist for a similar look and number of stems. This box had the most giftable presentation I've seen from a flower subscription right out of the box with a bouquet wrapped in pretty ribbon and floral printed paper. The flowers arrived in great condition and though they are not vase-ready, they just needed some trimming and easy arranging to make a nice centerpiece. The colors were tasteful and the filler flowers were of high quality and value than what I've seen in similar subscriptions. With this giftable presentation, I think this would make a great gift for a flower lover who enjoys arranging his or her own flowers.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? The bouquet you get with your subscription is a surprise, so I can’t say that you will get this same arrangement.

You did not show the cutting of the lavender/green lacy flowers to find out what they are called. They are really pretty. I am from the old school and having trouble getting used to the flower blooms so close to the vase. Maybe if I see enough it was start looking normal to me.

I’ve told people/family not to send me expensive flowers. I’d much rather have a $10 grocery store bouquet and $40 in cash j/k, unless they’ll really give it to me. I told my mom this forever, then she started sending me fruit bouquets lol. I told her to give me the $100 those things cost, and I’ll buy a bunch of fruit, and save the rest. Spending so much on things that will die/spoil within a week makes me crazy.
