Your Bijoux Box June 2018 Review
Here’s a product list for the month. The theme is “White Hot Summer” and is perfect for this seriously hot weather we’ve already been having! A coordinating necklace, earring set, and bracelet are included.
Let’s start with the necklace and earrings!
Catalina Shell Necklace
This is such a pretty necklace! This style is similar to a lariat but it doesn’t slide through the front. It closes behind the neck with a lobster claw clasp and an extender. The white shell shapes are accented with rose gold ovals encrusted with sparkly black gemstones. Two chains dangle from the end both accented with more sparkly ovals. It’s dainty but still has a big impact with its different textures and just a little bling. The rose gold metal makes for a nice soft contrast to the white shell.
Catalina Hoops (with bonus Catalina Studs)
If one pair of earrings wasn’t enough, you get two! This coordinating hoop and stud set works perfectly paired with the necklace above because of the white accents and rose gold. The white here is more of a mother of pearl than shell and looks very elegant. Both pairs are small and perfect for wearing on their own or pairing with other jewelry that needs room to shine. I’m digging the minimalist style and that they are super comfortable.
Catalina Wrap Bracelet
Sea glass inspired glass stones are woven into three rows with vegan gold-colored cording on this wrap-style bracelet. It’s one of the adjustable sliding types of bracelets and should fit any wrist size. The stones are a frosty white shade but have shiny facets that catch enough light to give it a subtle sparkle. It looks nice on its own but would look lovely stacked with other bracelets of this style for a more boho-glam look.
Bonus: Travel Jewelry Tray by Santa Barbara Design Studio
What a great, and super handy, bonus item! When I travel, I always look around for something to act as my jewelry catch-all. Now, I have one to toss in my suitcase to always have with me. I love that it lays flat for easy packing and has snaps to set up the sides when you are ready to have it out. At 5x5 inches, it’s large enough to fit my watch, jewelry, and lip balm and the gold, faux-leather is cute enough to leave it out all the time.
The Verdict: I love the jewelry this month! I don’t currently have any quality white pieces in my collection so these are wonderful additions. True to the theme, they are great for pairing with summer whites and give just enough sparkle to dress things up a touch. I think the quality of all of the items is really nice, especially if you consider that you basically are paying just $10 per piece (not including the bonus tray). The packaging is nice enough to give this as a gift too...if you can let it go!
