Each month information about the designers and their inspiration for each product will be included. I think it is a thoughtful touch that adds to the overall experience of receiving the best from homegrown Irish talent.

Clarkes of Dublin Uplifting Bath Soak in Goats Milk & Rosemary

When I pulled this out of the packaging, I literally gasped. I am a sucker for luxury bath and beauty products, and I am also a sucker for beautifully packaged products. This bath soak really hits the nail on the head in both regards—this is definitely the most beautiful and most luxurious bath product I currently own (and maybe ever).  The heavy glass bottle that is stopped with the cork is just lovely to look at, and I appreciate that the label is informative without being flashy. The goat's milk used in this bath soak is from County Offaly, the sea salt is from West Cork, and the honey is from Dublin. The rosemary scent is natural but strong, which is something I always prefer in my bath products. This really made my bath feel special, and I am so happy to have received this in this box. I think this perfectly epitomizes what this box is trying to provide—the best of artisan Irish goods. There was no size listed, but the side of the packaging says there is enough soak for five baths. In terms of value, I found the Clarkes of Dublin website here, but they do not currently have any of their bath soaks available for sale. I could easily see paying $20 for a bath soak considering the size, quality of the packaging, and quality of the ingredients, and not even considering the fact that it is straight from Ireland!

Annabel Lagrish Sheepwalking Mug, Retail Value $13.91 (€12.00)

As soon as I saw the outer box packaging of this, I knew whatever was inside would be special. This mug is absolutely precious, and the quality is top notch. It is made of fine bone china and was hand-painted, but it is also dishwasher safe. I think the sheep and lamb artwork is lovely, and I love the play on words from the "sheepwalking” printed on the inner lip of the mug. I have a family friend who was like a second mom to me when I was growing up who traveled to (and loved!) Ireland, so I will be sending this as a gift to her.

Annabel Langrish Wildlife Mini-Card Set, Retail Value $6.37 (€5.50)

I love stationery, and I think these wildlife mini-cards are just darling. The cards themselves are made of hand-made paper, and the mini size makes these cards perfect for writing a cute note with a small gift. I love all of the animal prints, but I think the fox with the flowers is my favorite. I will use one of these to write a message when I mail the mug to my friend, and I will save the others for truly special notes.

Sealed with Irish Love May 2018 print

Lainey K “Let’s Find Someplace Beautiful” Print, Retail Value $18.05

I am not a big fan of prints being included in subscription boxes, but this is the first one I can truly see as belonging. This print is packaged with a hardboard backing before being sealed in cellophane packaging. Off the bat that makes a difference because I have gotten prints that were just thrown in the box and not packaged with care. I wish I had more information on where in Ireland this photo was taken, however, it does look like a dreamy, beautiful place to take a long walk (and maybe a picnic. Always gotta have the snacks). This A4 size is ready to be hanged, and I think this would be a great addition to any room that has a beach theme—when I gaze at this print I can just tell there is an ocean somewhere nearby.

The Verdict: Sealed With Irish Love promises to send you the best Irish talent they have to offer, and I once again feel like they did just that. This box is not for you if you are concerned about the value of the box reaching a certain point. That being said, I am continuously blown away by how thoughtful and special every item included continues to be. This would make a great and thoughtful gift to someone who has family history from Ireland, or anyone who visited and loved the country. In terms of value, the items totaled up to $38.29, not including the soak. Additionally, if you wanted to order the Annabel Langrish items and the print separately, you would be paying an additional $17 in shipping. This box is on the pricier end, but I do believe the value is there if you can appreciate the artisan and hard-to-obtain nature of the items.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the July box.

Value Breakdown: This box cost $62 ($50 for the box + $12 shipping) which means you are paying approximately $15.50 per item.

I am a staunch believer that pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza and when I’m not working as a family law attorney I enjoy hiking the Louisiana trails (alligator sightings are a favorite!) or relaxing with Duchess, my cat. I’m a sucker for anything labeled a mystery box and I’ve never met a bath bomb I didn’t like.

I absolutely love the mug. It is the highlight of the box. The rest is lacking in a big way. I don’t care for the print at all. It’s just not my taste. Like many other people I don’t have a bath tub. This makes soaking salt useless. The note cards are cute but beware square mail requires extra postage in the USA.

$62 for a mug, some bath salts, 6 mini cards and a print (which should be free)? Yeah, no.
